We are delighted with our new slate roof and very impressed with the process from start to finish. The initial assessment of our problem was carried out by Jake with drone footage which was very useful. He arrived at the time he said he would and the detailed quote was prepared quickly stating our options. Jake kept us informed of progress during the work and any queries were dealt with promptly. Charlie , Connor and Has were courteous, considerate and conscientious. They arrived for work at the time they said they would. The site was left clean and tidy at the end of each day, they were very happy to explain what they were doing, the progress they were making and they have done a great job. Thank you.

Our 5m x 4m log cabin had a wood burning stove with a flue exiting above the roof line. Unfortunately a squirrel decided to store its nuts under the cover where the flue came out through the roof. The squirrel then fell down the flue, leaving the nuts to grow a very large root system in the following two years. This resulted in extensive damage to the roof due to water ingress. Jake and his team took this all in their stride. As they stripped the roof back each layer exposed more damage. At each stage Jake shared the issues with me, and kept me fully informed on costs as he rang his supplier for additional timbers which they collected and installed the same day. The result - a superb job, executed to budget and on the promised timing despite the unforeseen problems that the jobs had thrown up. I was very impressed by their professionalism and their warm and friendly manner. These people you can trust!

My roof needed attention to fix a persistent leak near a chimney, shabby-appearing soffits, and other signs of age. Langdon Roofing provided a professional and efficient service from the outset, doing repair work to and around three chimneys, tile replacement and refixing on bonnet and hiplines, and new fascias, soffits, and guttering. A preliminary visit and drone examination by Jake flagged various issues needing attention including a chimney in precarious condition. These issues were explained and accompanied by useful photos, and there was no attempt to persuade me to have the entire roof replaced rather than repaired. The work was completed within the estimated time frame, in fact the team was able to start a couple days earlier than originally anticipated. The workmen were polite and efficient, and even covered over the roof when wet weathere was forecast. During the work Jake kept up good e-mail communication on the progress of repairs and notified me if the workmen were likely to arrive later than usual. The final tidy-up was completed to my satisfaction though a neighbour complained about some small debris having fallen onto his property. Although the estimate was was higher than I had originally hoped it was broken down into detailed areas of work needed, and the final bill was exactly as estimated. The problem leak appears to have been solved, which I trust will be proved in the longer term.

We recently appointed Langdon Roofing to replace our kitchen extension flat roof and skylight. We found Langdon Roofing professional to deal with, always responding to our queries in a timely manner. The work appears to have been carried out to a good standard and we were pleased with the look and finish of the new skylight. Jake and the team were friendly to deal with and I would recommend them.

We were very impressed by how quickly Jake came to see our job , give us a quote and complete the work, which consisted of replacing the flat roofing over a bay window. The job was to replace an aging flat roof over the garage and a single storey extension comprising utility room, shower/WC room and 'family' room. The work was done to a high standard, in good time and in accordance with the quotation. The team was extremely friendly, courteous and professional. Work of very high quality and they did a good job tiding up. They were able to fit work in at short notice although they are very busy. At times pressure of work made them hard to contact and they were not always on time.

We needed rotten fascias replaced on a small flat roof. Because the old roof felt was attached to the fascias this required the roof to be replaced as well. Jake and his team were friendly, and communication was swift and good. The job was done quickly and to a high standard. A minor issue with the replacement of some tiles was rectified promptly on request. The price was very reasonable and I would be happy to employ Langdon Roofing again.

I lost a ridge tile in a recent major storm. I contacted Langdon Roofing because of their Which? Trusted Trader status. Jake quickly got back to me and provided a quote, based on photos & access details. A date was arranged for the following week. That was delayed by a day, due to the weather affecting a previous job, but the guys came the next day and replaced the damaged tile and reseated another tile. It was good to get a prompt response to repair the roof after such a major storm.

Langdon Roofing Ltd replaced old fascias, soffits and barge boards with UPVC, replaced gutters and downpipes and resurfaced a lower level flat roof. The team worked hard and efficiently, clearing up well after themselves. They were polite and ready to answer questions, offering advice when the extent of a damaged roofline could be assessed and discussing options. Two minor issues raised after completion were rectified swiftly to my complete satisfaction and I am very pleased with the result.

We were very disappointed by their lack of knowledge on how to convert a cold flat roof to a warm flat roof. - The cold roof ventilation wasn't closed off, - No upstands so the water was streaming off both sides of the flat roof, - There was huge ponding all over the roof, - Missing/lose facia boards, - Gutters weren't raised so water was running behind them, - Vertical tiles slipping off as well as other issues. It took Langdon Roofing more than 10 months and 2 re-works to do the work correctly and with the correct materials. They postponed the original work 3 times, disappeared to a different job after the first day and postponed the re-work 2 times. Trader refused to come out when we raised issues, and the customer service throughout was poor: don't answer their office phone, take days to reply to emails, didn't keep promises made, lots of procrastination and tried to deceive us on warm roof construction. After the original work had been completed in March they left our gutters full of debris and off-cuts, these were also on our neighbours' property, one of our downpipes was completely blocked, nails left all over our patio, French Doors covered in Bitumen and they swept a lot of grit into the pebbles on the side of our house. We had to revert to using the NFRC Ombudsman Arbitration Service to get Langdon Roofing to complete the required work. It took us more than 10 months to get the roof we paid for, and we had to fight all the way.

Jake was the first quote we obtained. From the moment he arrived (exactly when he said he would), he stood out as being totally professional, polite, friendly, and went to great lengths to show us what our problem was, including climbing up into the loft, onto the roof and taking photos. He explained the options, and under no pressure we chose to have a new roof. His team were excellent. They arrived on time every day, worked hard, did not waste any time, were equally polite and communicative, and the whole job was completed within 10 days, partly thanks to a good spell of weather. They were tidy and cleared up thoroughly at the end. Jake himself attended at the appropriate moments to oversee the project, and at the end, to ensure the work was to his required standard. We could not be happier with the result, and the way we were dealt with throughout. We have no hesitation in highly recommending Langdon Roofing Ltd to everyone.

Leaking chimney. Jake gave sound advice in that the chimney (back of property) which is not in use and will never be used could be removed instead of repaired. This meant that we would never have an issue with the chimney again and also, bonus, it would be less costly. The guys turned up, mmmmm, a little later than expected and carried out the work slightly differently to what we thought but, nevertheless, have done a great job. They managed to match the existing tiles of a 1956 built house pretty well. They worked diligently and cleaned up really well. They were lovely, friendly and polite. From start to finish it has been a pleasure to have Langdon Roofing take care of our property. Definitely recommend. It is a joy when you feel you can trust a company.

As this is a listed building, one has to make sure suppliers are aware of the requirements. Jake quickly and professionally assessed the problem and recommended how to sort it out. His team arrived on time and did a beautiful job, removing all old plastic guttering and sundry poles masquerading as downpipes and replacing the whole rainwater system. The guys were a pleasure to have around and the whole house looks so much smarter, it has made a real difference. Good value too. I would certainly use them in future when the roof needs work.

The crew arrived early on the agreed date and got to work after checking out what was to be done. In addition to installing the vent tile, they connected it up in the loft for me. They even noticed one bright new replacement tile on a different part of the roof and replaced it with the weathered tile removed for the vent tile so that it did not stand out. They cleaned up well after the moss removal and took everything away with them. All the crew were polite, friendly and helpful. I would use them again for any roofing work I have in the future.

Jake was very prompt to provide a very competitive quotation for the works largely from photographs and approximate dimensions of the roof. As the roof was starting to show signs of leakage he made every effort to start the job ahead of the agreed start date, which he managed to achieve by a couple of weeks. The works which comprised the removal of the existing dilapidated roof membrane and replacement with a high performance three layer bituminous roof membrane were undertaken very efficiently and all within the quotation budget for the job. I was very impressed by the speed and professionalism of the roofing team who had all the works finished in a single morning. The team were very good at keeping all the mess from the works cleared up and left the site spotless. They were very polite and friendly at all times. I am very pleased with the finished works which are a vast improvement on the existing roof and represent very good value for money. I found Jake to be very communicative and always replied to my questions in good time. I would be pleased to recommend them to other property owners to solve their roofing problems. I have invited them to look at providing some further works to the main roof at my property.

His team of workers arrived early on the 25th November with Jake following shortly to go through the work to be carried out. His team were very polite and courteous at all times, they were here for the whole day and carried out the work to a high standard (as yet no leaks). Just what you don't need before Christmas is a roof water leak...I selected Jake Langdon based on the Which? trader reviews who promptly carried out an inspection and was confident the work could be done (weather permitting) before the festive break. Last week scaffolding went up, followed by two of his team who worked flat out only pausing when heavy showers occurred (not good for the mortar) The leak was caused by a hole in the worn out lead, new flashing plus some replacement tiles, full repointing, plus waterproofing what had otherwise been a completely exposed chimney without pots (purps) and now looks like a new chimney (no leaks) The workforce were very polite, cleaned up well and all for a reasonable price.

Very happy with the work, and done very efficiently too. Guaranteed for 30 years so can't argue with that!

Jake's team from Langdon Roofing replaced four flat roofs at our home. The first week we had temperatures of 33 deg C which limited the time they could spend on site. The second week we had rain which again limited how much they could do each day. Despite this they did a first class job and left the site clean and tidy. Before leaving they talked me through everything they had done and assured me that, if anything was not as I expected, they would return to rectify it.
