If you are looking for builders who are honest, reliable, prompt, good communicators, knowledgeable, quick, helpful and feel like family afterwards, then Mick, Lee, Josh and all their specialist contractors, are the builders you need! They built a single level extension to the side of our house that included a hallway, bedroom and access to a downstairs bathroom. As it was going to be a big investment, we did lots of research and as we continued to look it was clear that all the reviews were very positive over the decades. This was key as you hear horror stories of builders taking your money and not showing up. Mick will regularly check you are feeling happy with the build and is genuinely concerned for his customers. He will always do his utmost to put you at ease. The core team are all family and all exhibit the same care for you. You do feel part of the family working with them and feel reassured that you are being looked after. They were great with our kids and made them laugh with silly jokes. They go beyond what was asked for and will suggest ways to improve on what you had planned but at the same time do not pressure you into increasing the budget or scope of the build if you don’t want to. They were easy to get in touch with and always quick to respond to any questions that came up. We would certainly recommend Lauren Builders, and will be using them again.

Had a wall knocked out and other work over about ten to twelve weeks very professional all trades very clean polite all work carried out was first class. Mick organised everything I am usually apprehensive about trades men coming round, but was put at ease. They were very professional at there job I would not hesitate in calling Mick for anything else I needed or recommending. and was brilliant when other problems appeared he was calm and sorted them out. We called Lauren Builders following an extremely bodged job by another company. We were very worried that our roof would leak the next time it rained. Mick responded to our call immediately and came round to look at the problem within a couple of hours. He sat down with us, worked out a plan of action and called his trusted roofer, who came round the same day to assess the job. Mick took control of the situation, project managed the whole job, which involved replacing the whole of the front section of our roof - Felt, battening, tiles, ridges, verges and valleys all had to be replaced. Scaffold was erected within days and the roofers worked through the whole weekend to ensure that we were weatherproof and completely safe. The previous company had also left our gutters and valleys full of mortar and debris, which was dealt with as part of the work. We are so grateful to Lauren Builders and cannot recommend them highly enough for their knowledge, experience, professionalism and customer care.

Having been recommended by a work colleague after having a loft conversation by Lauren Builders and seeing the finished product myself and my wife called Mick in to give us a quote on a side and rear kitchen Extension having been let down by our original builder, Mick soon came round sat us down and went through everything we needed to know and what to expect for our project, all very professional once we were all in agreement Mick and his team were ready to start within weeks, everything was prompt quick and all materials were delivered to plan as laid out by Mick. All Lauren Builders staff that worked on our project came across as polite, tidy and very helpful when ever we had any questions or queries. We are so Impressed and delighted with our end product even when we have people round being friends, family or different trades people they all compliment on our extension with tradesmen especially on the Impeccable brick work, in the end we let Mick undertake the work for our patio, side path and extending of our driveway, Mick even took it upon himself to fix any slight Issues that he noticed with our home at no extra cost. Following on from my previous review, I wanted to share this experience that demonstrates the honesty and trustworthiness of Mick of Lauren Builders. A couple of days ago I was making an online payment to a plumbing and heating company which, when completed, showed that I had inadvertently sent the not inconsiderable amount of money to Lauren Builders. I immediately contacted my bank to cancel the payment but it could not be done for at least 21 days. I then contacted Mick and, on looking at his account, he saw my money. Straight away he transferred it back into my account and I received it almost instantaneously. Thank you Mick.

As newcomers to Peterborough, finding a reliable builder proved difficult until we found both Which Trusted Traders and Lauren Builders. From the outset, we were impressed by the honesty, professionalism and attention to detail displayed by the owner, Mike Gapper. Each aspect of the build was explained, an itemised quote received and a safeguarding contract duly presented - all of which built trust. Although the job was hit by unforeseen global issues, such as materials shortages, communication remained consistent. As the build progressed, we were introduced to all the tradesmen. Each was highly skilled, professional and a pleasure to have in our home. We particularly appreciated Lewis, the apprentice, who regularly contributed to the development of the build. It was a pleasure to observe how he was enabled to develop his skills and how his confidence grew through clear communication, careful teaching and continual encouragement. No matter whether he was laying bricks or supporting the reconstruction of a chimney and much more, he tackled everything with enthusiasm and good cheer. The work undertaken by Lauren Builders has transformed our kitchen into the heart of our home. We have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone seeking a professional, quality build.

Due to previous good reviews we chose Lauren Builders for a major renovation and an extension. We are delighted with the finished work and couldn't be happier. As soon as we met Mick we knew he was trustworthy and knowledgeable. He spent a lot of time ensuring that what we wanted was realistic and made some very good suggestions and we are so glad we took his advice. He showed photos of his previous work which was excellent. We caused him a few delays with the start date which must have been difficult for his schedule but not once did he complain, and he kept in contact through the delays. Mick & his crew are reliable, polite, respectful and tidy workers. Mick is a lovely man who takes enormous pride in his work and nothing is too much trouble to ensure you're happy. I would have no hesitation using them again and would definitely recommend them.
