Dan did very thorough safety testing, gave super clear explanations, and is a very hard-working electrician. His agreed schedule was spot on, too. Would use Lek-Trix again and would certainly highly recommend.

Dan came to install an outside power supply to a garden room, he could have easily clipped the cable to the exterior of the property but he found a better way which involved him crawling under my floors, which he really didn't need to do. I will now have a virtually invisible power supply. His workmanship and professionalism is first-class and embodies what a Which? Trusted trader is. Dan installed a new consumer unit, removed some old sockets, replaced light fittings, and installed a shaver point in our bathroom. Dan did an excellent job of installing a new porch light. He discussed the different options and made sure we had the best fitting for the space. After an initial assessment of electrical problems in our flat, Dan has carried out extensive upgrades spaced over several months. Beginning with the replacement and testing of a new main switch consumer unit, he has installed numerous new sockets in several rooms to remove clutter, moved our router to another room, and fitted several low-wattage LED light bulbs. All work has been done following comprehensive quotations. Dan is full of ideas and advice for electrical improvements, and works quietly and efficiently, clearing up any mess before leaving. We can highly recommend Lek-Trix to carry out any type of domestic electrical work.

We needed a number of light switches replacing, additional sockets installed in one room, and a new ceiling bulkhead light fitted. The work was done very efficiently and tidily. Dan discussed some issues relating to one of the additional sockets and helped me make a sensible decision not to make any changes to it, resulting in a reduction in their original quotation. We were very happy with his, work and would certainly use them again.

Dan fitted an outside socket to my property, he explained before he started that he needed to turn off the mains for ten minutes, told me when he had turned the mains back on which was under 10 ten minutes. He showed were the cable was going to come out of the wall so that I was happy with the position of the socket and then did a very neat job.

Dan attended carefully to all the issues and gave us an accurate and comprehensive quote. He appeared on time for the works and was meticulous and resourceful. His communication throughout was excellent. Once again we are very happy with the results. Thank you.

Excellent job done fitting a new outside light, as expected from Dan. He even cleared away some spider webs from the area around the light!

Dan expertly fitted a ceiling fan in our bedroom, explaining what he would be doing clearly to me beforehand. He took the time to explain the controls afterward and was friendly, professional and tidy- Definitely recommend!

Finally got an electrician to fix problems in the flat I moved into in April 2020. Dan repositioned thermostats, changed laundry light fitting and switch locations, replaced old receptacles by new ones with USB charging sockets, and installed two remote-controlled variable downlights in place of the originals. The materials provided by me were unsuitable in some cases and Dan was quick to propose, obtain and install improved alternatives. He consulted well on changes to planning, working long hours to complete the work within the day instead of the planned two days. The new installations were neatly done, exposed damage from the original installation was made good and the clean up was faultless. He will be the first electrician I call for any future work.

I contacted Dan to fit a timer on my elderly parents' immersion heater, fit a new electric radiator and sort out the main thermostat - which my parents didn't know how to use. Dan was able to do the work at short notice and did a very good job. He explained how the timer and thermostat worked and programmed in the times for my parents. I would certainly recommend him.

I have used Lek Trix previously and had no hesitation in contacting them again when as a consequence of fitting a new boiler I was advised that my fuse board needed upgrading. I confess this task was far more complex than I had imagined but Dan clearly explained what was needed. Indeed while he was here he patiently answered all my questions. The firm is in the category of 'small-is-beautiful offering the 1-2-1 customer service experience that is the polar opposite of a large organisation. Whilst without a switchboard messages are attended to efficiently and there is that personal touch evident; Dan is both reassuring and knowledgeable providing a range of solutions and at different price points that always takes into account safety as of paramount importance. The installations were conducted as agreed and with ongoing consultation rather, say, unlike some contractors; simply opting to complete the install in the shortest time frame possible. Prompt in his attendance and helpfully tidying the job as he goes along; all-important especially in a domestic setting. On the technical front, it's clear that Dan is mindful to explain to the customer what can and cannot be done; in addition to making useful suggestions about alternatives. Thoroughly recommended: Professional Electrician who is also amiable in his manner and very considerate. Following completion of works, my NICEIC Certificate arrived without me having to remember to chase it!

As an 80 year old computer dinosaur, I do not usually provide on-line reviews for anything because it is not all that easy for me. However I want to do this this time for Dan's last piece of work; in fact, he has carried out several pieces of work for us, both large and small, which is why I have used the word "Typical" above for the last job. In other words, He got back to us when promised, came to us when promised, did a superb job, and cleared up immaculately - all fully up to the standard of the work he has done for us before. This is why we have always contacted him when we needed an electrical who could be relied on completely.
