Leon did some wallpapering, he did a fabulous job and aims for perfection. He left the room very tidy and even moved the furniture back. He was very punctual and arrived exactly when he said he would. This is the second time I have used Leon to do wallpapering. I didn’t want anyone else so I waited. He’s very busy but I understand why, it’s because he’s really good. I would highly recommend. He may not be the cheapest but this is definitely a case of you get what you pay for, quality work.

I can’t rate the service and results we received any higher. Having had workmen and decorators in the past cause damage and constant supervision needed to ensure work was done to a satisfactory standard it was such a breath of fresh air having Leon and his crew undergo their job hassle free straight away. I have absolutely no complaints at all with the results and how professional the job was handled. From the consultation to the finished result everything was to a top level standard. Communication, punctuality, professionalism and quality 10/10 absolutely not a bad thing to say. Will be using Leon and his company again in the future and will be the only painting and decorating company we will recommend to friends and family.

Leon came and quoted to decorate most of our house. He spent plenty of time discussing what we wanted and explaining how they could also carry out associated minor repairs and preparation required. The quote was detailed and the work was actually carried out in a series of visits, as requested. This is the 4th time I’ve had work done by this company (and won’t be the last). Leon is kind, polite, and very professional. He always presented me with a quote quickly and the price I was invoiced was what he quoted (unless extra work was requested). His employees were also very professional and pleasant. I have had my Mock Tudor house beautifully restored by Leons impressive and experienced team of decorators, woodwork rendering and rotten wood replaced where necessary by his Joiner. Leon visited us to assess the job and provided us with a speedy quote. The two decorators who attended my property were friendly and considerate. They decorated 3 rooms for me with a minimum of disruption. Their work was meticulous. They worked quickly, No mess was left. I have already booked this company to decorate my hall/stairs & landing in the spring. I would recommend this company to anyone.

Leon’s is an excellent painter. He has a very good team whose attention to detail particularly in preparation of painting. The project was on the exterior of a large Edwardian house and the results were very good. He sorted out problems with wood replacement where needed and always responded to questions. No complaints. In spite of some awful weather, rain and wind, the workforce adapted smoothly to the conditions and produced a first-class job. They were punctual, polite and tidy. I was kept informed about what they intended to do each day. Their fees, I thought, were fair and estimates were accurate. Lounge / Dining room prepared, painted and decorated. Completed within 5 days and to the agreed budget. Leon was contacted because he was a Trusted Trader and promptly came to the premises to discuss requirements and give a quote. During this visit he gave sound advice and recommendations for the job. Work was completed by Carl to a very good/high standard, nothing was too much trouble. Very pleased.

I have just had an extension added to the rear of my property. Leon managed to quote the job from the plans, so very quick and easy. The team has fitted in with dates being changed due to slight delays in materials. The finish of wallpapering in the bedroom is excellent, I have had another decorating firm wallpaper in the house previously, and I could have done a better job, not on this occasion though, it is flawless. The preparation and time taken to ensure that the finish was perfect was exceptional, I can't recommend them enough. The team were extremely professional and left the house as they'd found it every time. I'm now busy saving so I'm able to get the team back to update some more rooms in the house.

We approached Leon on the basis of a recommendation to provide internal insulation on walls in two bedrooms which don’t have cavity walls. He’s much in demand so we had a long wait but once he started, the work was completed very efficiently. We had a plasterer come for one day to do the installation then, when the plaster was dry, the decorators came to paint. They prepared the walls on one day and returned on the next to paint. The rooms now look good and I’m hoping we’ll notice the increased warmth in the Winter.

My windows and other woodwork needed painting and I organised Leon Shaw Painting and Decorating to do the work on a recommendation. They have done a great job, fitted in with my schedule, were courteous and professional. I am very satisfied with the work done and would pass this recommendation on.

I used Leon Shaw Painting & Decorating for some external and internal decorating and have been absolutely delighted with them. The service from beginning to end was excellent, the price represented great value for money and I couldn't be more delighted with the finish. The guys that came out always turned up when they said they would and they went above and beyond to leave the rooms they worked in tidy. The finish is superb, as was the attention to detail. I am difficult to please when it comes to this sort of thing as I have an eye for the detail but I genuinely couldn't fault them and can't recommend the company highly enough!

Leon's men decorated the walls, ceilings and woodwork of our staircase and landings in our three storey detached house. They also decorated our open plan living area. The preparation of surface etc was very thorough and the at least two (and in some cases four) coats of paint were applied. The two men arrived on time each day and left when a stage of work was complete ready for a further stage on the following day. They helped with furniture moving and were thorough in their use of dust sheets to protect. Whenever necessary they confirmed what we wanted doing. They left the house fully habitable at the end of each day and tidied up well at the end of the job. The work was completed slightly ahead of schedule and on budget. The stand out aspect of the job was in the initial phase of identifying what's required and what work would be done to complete it to our requirements. This was very much better than the same experience with other firms. The price (they're not the cheapest) reflected the detail with which the work was promised and delivered. We would certainly use Leon again

Leon Shaw is our go-to exterior decorator over eight years because he and his loyal team are reliable, good communicators and work to a consistently high standard. Any problems are professionally rectified or good recommendations are given for other tradesmen as necessary. This quality comes at a price which is good value for the longevity of the finish.

Leon Shaw did a great job - yet again - in transforming one of our rooms. With his help we now have a very warm sitting room with a beautiful new oak floor. Leon helped us at every stage. He recommended the floor supplier and explained what materials we needed to order, as well as laying the wood expertly, fitting skirting boards and oiling all the surfaces. We needed to replace ceiling molding and he suggested which company to use. The walls are now repainted and we couldn't be happier with the result.

We had our lounge, dining room and kitchen painted and papered November/December 2021 and hall stairs and landing just completed. Leon’s team are very thorough with all the preparation and meticulous with the decorating. They’re efficient and easy to have in the house. Any more decorating, we will have them again, no question.

Lockdowns and a new kitchen installation caused delays to beginning works but, once started, it was full steam ahead. Leon’s crew arrived every day when promised, worked hard, put up with my young dog and went out of their way to ensure that as little disturbance as possible was caused. Before they finished each day, they left the house cleaner than when they started! My only complaint was that his workers kept saying “no thanks” to my offers of cups of tea - won them around in the end though. Could not ask for a more professional, pleasant and competent crew and Leon went above and beyond to be helpful. I will be using them again in 2022.

Leon's team did an excellent job at rectifying some decorating work that had been done to a very poor standard previously by a different decorator. Leon's team worked quickly and were very collaborative when decided how best to paint/wallpaper. Will definitely use them in future.

Contacted Leon early October 2021, asked him to quote for redecorating an empty apartment that we were due to occupy by the end of the month. Said he was very busy but would see what he could do. Came within 48 hrs, received a quote within a week. Did his best to accommodate us and completed the job 3 days before we moved in. Quality of work second to none. Kept us well informed throughout and was very responsive when we had questions. On time and on budget.

We were very impressed with the quality of the work Leon and his team carried out on our house. The painters were very polite, tidy and considerate and left the outside immaculate at the end of the day. One of the reasons we used the company was that Leon Shaw was the only decorating company able to provide a carpenter to fix some areas of rotten wood before decorating and he did an excellent job sorting out the issue for us. Leon and his team have transformed our rooms with their decorating skills. From first contact, Leon has been responsive, professional and straightforward. He came around quickly to quote and his team started 1 week later. Paul and Chris, who did the work, were very experienced, talked through all decisions with us, quick and tidy, and great to have around the house. The wallpaper looks wonderful and now we are looking round the rest of the house to see what else we can have done.

Two men (sometimes 3) worked for a week to paint a large hall, stairs and landing. They were efficient, accommodating and considerate of the fact that we were working from home. They turned up on time each day, kept the work areas very tidy and were very willing to tell us about the products they were using and the work they were doing. No complaints about the work at all.

Earlier in the year, Leon Shaw Painting and Decorating painted the bathroom and hallway walls, ceiling and woodwork at my house. I have used Leon many times before and the work is always carried out to a very high standard with great attention to detail. There are no wobbly lines in sight. They are always tidy too so there is minimum cleaning up to do after they've left - bonus! Leon and his team have done three wallpapering jobs for me to a very high standard, including a large wall mural which was not the most straightforward, but which they hung perfectly. The seams are invisible. Highly recommend their work. They’re not the cheapest, but the value for money and then certainty that it’ll be a well finished job is worth paying for.

I asked Leon to quote me for a few small interior and exterior decorating jobs around my home. He was quick to respond to my enquiry, promptly popped round to appraise the work required and sent the quote through within a couple of days. I have to say their work is 5 star, the attention to detail was brilliant. We have used this crack team twice to complete a kitchen /conservatory project - BIG shout out to Paul and Aaron in particular who are super professional , highly skilled, fast paced and an absolute pleasure to have in your home. We had some questions around using farrow and ball paint on our kitchen cupboards - Leon knew his stuff and gave us sound advice. similarly we used different products on our work surfaces - Leon made sure we were completely happy before finishing the job. Latterly, we have used expensive Little Greene wallpaper - thanks to Paul’s super skills we managed to have enough to complete the feature wall and another small area with just two rolls. You will be able to find P&D’s who come in at a lower cost however, if you prize good workmanship, keen attention to detail, a quick pace & genuinely nice guys this is the company to use - they are worth paying a bit extra for.

Leon and his team stepped in when we were let down by another decorator. He made good the mess they left behind, and completed a further 3 rooms for us. The workmanship is top quality, all of his guys were highly professional, taking great care and with an eye for detail. Proper preparation has resulted in an excellent standard of finish. We needed a refresh of a rather tired bungalow 150 miles away in Nottingham. Leon Shaw came and provided a fair estimate for some re-plastering and then a complete internal repaint. The work was to a good standard and it was completed on time. They cleaned up after themselves and the estate agent was well impressed when she came to take marketing pictures. I found Leon Shaw through Which Trusted Traders and he deserves the praise.

The Quoted price I thought was reasonable for the work involved, and was the price I paid. I requested some joinery repair work to my Garage facia board which had rotted through. Builders had insisted that I might need the garage roof re-covering, but Leon insisted he could repair it which he did to a very good standard by removing the rotten facia, and replacing it with a new board, which he subsequently coated and painted. All Timber was rubbed down, undercoated, and painted with a flexible type paint The workmen were very polite, and used floor covers to protect my property. They were prompt, and worked hard finishing the work inside a week. I would certainly recommend them and give a glowing reference.

Leon did a great job of filling, papering and painting the awkward stairwell in my house. It's a really tricky corner of a Victorian house with very high ceilings and not something we could ever have done ourselves. I was really impressed with the overall quality and finish of the work itself, as well as the general standard of care and communication. It was a relief to find Leon as it's rare to experience such a professional service. I can't recommend him enough and can safely say we won't be using anyone else for any other jobs.

Leon's team came and did an amazing job on my three storey house (really tricky ceilings) They've completely transformed the hallways and stairs, did a great job on cracks and holes, painted it to a really high standard. When it was dried, there was about 2 spots I wanted touching up and Leon came round and fixed them for me. I recently hired Leon Shaw to fully paint and prepare four rooms of a flat I am planning to sell in Mapperley Park. The work was done in record time and to an excellent standard - would recommend.
