Locksmith Services is a family business established in 2009, based in Harpenden and covering Hertfordshire & Bedfordshire. We're a father and son team, Larry started locksmithing in 2005 and Dean his son started in 2015 after becoming a qualified carpenter.
Locksmith Services are open 24/7 for emergencies and aim to get to you within 30 minutes of your call where possible. We can supply and fit door and window locks to British standard and insurance requirements.
If you need a locksmith in Hertfordshire & Bedfordshire because you want your locks upgraded for extra security, locks changed or repaired then at Locksmiths Services we have the experience, expertise and the equipment that the job requires.
We do not charge a call-out fee or charge hourly. We charge a set labour fee plus the cost of any parts that may be required.

My front porch door lock required repair or replacement. Efficient handling of my call and Dean arrived on the day and time agreed. No call out charge was added to the bill. The problem was dealt with in an efficient and professional manner. It was possible to repair the lock and the charge made was very reasonable. Can highly recommend this local company for any work required for lock repairs or replacement.

I got shut out of my sitting room - the handle just would not open the door. I called out this company and along came Dean who managed to open it very quickly and spent some time fixing a new latch mechanism. He also gave me some good tips on looking after door handles! He was very friendly and the charge was slightly less than I was expecting. I would definitely recommend.

We needed help with our back door that was stuck locked and would not open. Dean was here within 45 minutes of my call and had the issue resolved within 15 minutes of arriving. He was very polite and friendly and was happy to give us advice on future maintenance of the door and an honest assessment of when it would need replacing rather than spending further money maintaining it. 5 stars all round and would definitely use again/recommend to friends and family.

I had an internal lock put on a door in my house by Dean today Extremely pleasant and helpful young man On completion Dean wanted to check with me that it was working There was a slight problem with the lock but Dean didn’t stop until it was fully sorted and I was happy with the job It took longer than first thought but as I say I was really pleased with Dean’s attitude and professionalism A really nice guy Did think about phoning the manager up to say how pleased I was with Dean but this review came in first so I hope Dean’s manager see’s what an asset I think he is to the company!

I called on 18th February and made an appointment for Thursday 20th. I could have had an earlier appointment, but I was not available. Dean was on time for the appointment and was soon able to open the door and diagnose the problem. It had been impossible to unlock and open the door. The lock has been rebuilt and the door opening/closing and locking as it should. Dean was very good at explaining what had gone wrong and what was needed to fix the problem. Very pleased with the service from Locksmith Services Ltd.
