About
London & Kent Ltd are a family run business with family values. We have been established since February 2014 and are striving to become the contractor of choice to fulfil the electrical needs for people in the south-east. Based in Greenwich, we carry out work as far as Brighton, Ashford and Surrey.
There's not much we don't do. Rewires, fuse box changes, electrical testing, EICR/Landlords Certificates are our day to day business. We also carry out more site-specific specialist projects in prestigious locations such as a street lighting project on The Strand in Westminster and an exterior lighting project at The Cheese Grater building in the City.

I have called London and Kent to do an electrical report and fix whatever come during the report and also to change the electrical board. They did the report but never sent the quote to do the bulk of the work.

I worked previously with Tony, and expected good quality again this time, but he was even better than the expectations. I had two problems, one related to hot water, the other one to lightning, and in both cases I found that he is a good listener, and happy to educate me on loosely related things I was asking about, such as how the heating panel works.

He also made some good recommendations. It took two weeks before they could do the job due to other work commitments but they kept me informed . Sam did the actual work. He was friendly, quick and very efficient. I would recommend them without hesitation.

Tony and Sam were both helpful and knowledgeable. We got an EICR test done and then various smaller jobs - a new wall socket, wiring for a lighted bathroom cabinet, a heavy light fixture in the hall. All done professionally and cleaned up afterwards.

I contacted London & Kent about a couple of electrical jobs needed at my flat - bathroom lighting not working and a corroded bedroom light fitting. Communication was good, and Alfie was able to arrange the initial and follow up visits at weekends which was very convenient for me. Pricing was fair and as per the initial quote, Alfie was polite and friendly and did a great job. I was a little nervous about using a firm I hadn't had personally recommended, but very glad I went with them and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to others.

Alfie and Sam previously installed new electrical wiring and switchboard in my house. They were extremely professional, great value for money and the quality of work was outstanding. All the work was completed on time, within budget and I got my electrical certificate. I have continued to use them for any electrical work ever since, and as before, the work is outstanding. London and Kent (Tony Phillips and team) carried out a few pieces of electrical work, including a NICEIC Electrical Condition Report and follow-up, at my flat in Rotherhithe, which is currently let. It was very easy to contact them and communications were always easy and quick throughout. They were flexible in liaising between me and my tenants and in dealing with new issues that arose. They stuck to time and exactly to the quotes they gave me. When the tenants had a problem operating the new boiler controls Tony's team were quick to step in and help them. I would definitely go to them again.

This firm undertook the rewiring of my house earlier this year and I wish to highly recommend them. Clear and comprehensive quotes were provided and adhered to and the work was of high quality both the electrical work and making good and redecorating afterwards and every effort was made to minimize the disruption as I was resident in the house all the time. It is a large Victorian house and inevitably problems were found with the building during the rewiring such as damp infiltration and perished plaster,and any additional costs were explained and agreed and these problems were dealt with very well.

From my experience of London & Kent I would highly recommend using this firm. They undertook the full electrical rewire of my 2 bed terrace house, made good all disturbed finishes and then decorated internally. I was kept informed of progress and they completed the work on time and in accordance with their original quotation. The overall finish was to a high standard and the property was left neat and tidy with the relevant NICEIC Test certificate provided ready for the ingoing tenants. I couldn't recommend the team more. Alfie did the initial assessment of the work required and promised his team would be there at 8am the following Friday. Sam and Franky turned up at exactly 8am, and immediately started on a number of electrical jobs I had been saving up. The first was some electrical work in the bathroom: to lower the height of a light switch and put a permanent live to a shaving socket. What on the face of it was a simple job turned into many hours work and involved dismantling a shower in order to be able to run cables, due to some interesting electrical decisions from the builders who first put in the bathroom. The main job was actually to fit some kitchen LED lighting, which was finished to a very high standard, with Sam and Franky staying late in order to get the work finished. I will definitely be using London & Kent for any future electrical needs.

Highly recommend. Extremely professional, quoted a fair price, fast to respond and confirm a date (a Saturday). Punctual and polite, Alfie is a lovely guy who clearly loves his work. Quickly and efficiently replaced old halogen lights in bathroom ceiling with better, plus new fittings, with lots of helpful advice. So impressed, have asked him to quote for two other electrical jobs in my apartment. Great to find someone who’s both excellent and happy to do small but essential domestic electrical jobs. Especially when his company also works on large shiny corporate projects!

Having been let down badly by a previous company I am so glad I contacted London & Kent. From the start they were responsive, friendly and clearly knew what they were doing. They even came on a Sunday morning to find out what my problem was (no plug sockets working) and get me back up and running with partial power until they could come back to fix it fully. Even happily moved furniture around (and waited for me to hoover until they put it back!) to get to the sockets. Extremely reasonable price (cheap even) for the time they spent (and definitely in comparison to other company I'd used). Very happy customer with fully working electrics!! Highly recommend...
