Suddenly lost TV reception in the strong winds so left it to see if the transmitter was at fault. Nothing wrong with the TV as able to use for DVDs and VHS. Used Trusted Trader and selected Lucas Electronics. Steve responded to the enquiry made on Thursday and arranged to visit the following Tuesday, then we had a telephone call to say that he could now come on Monday to which we agreed. We mentioned which TV transmitter we were on although there was another one in the area that we had not been connected to in the past because of a poor/no signal. Steve changed the TV aerial connecter and then went to check the aerial and cabling. Steve recommended that the aerial and cabling be replaced and gave us a quote which we accepted. On fixing the new TV aerial and cabling Steve advised that he had managed to get us connected to the better transmitter but the signal was weak. Steve recommended that we have a TV Mast amplifier and again advised of the cost. We agreed to have the booster installed and now get the full range of Freeview Channels, something that we did not have on the original transmitter that the old aerial had been lined up with. Steve was very efficient in the job, tidy and methodical. Kept us well informed of what he was doing throughout the job. We highly recommend Lucas Electronics.

I had been having no tv reception for several months, and Restore TV were unable to resolve the problem. Steve to my enquiry responded quickly and paid an initial visit within a few days. He had to pay 2 further visits, but was determined to resolve the issue and having found a satellite dish wasn't possible, he installed a new smaller aerial in a different place which now works perfectly. Above all I was impressed with his meticulousness and determination to resolve the issue, I also felt he charged a very reasonable amount considering the hours spent investigating the options. He was also courteous, explained everything clearly, wore overshoes in the house, and took into consideration any issues which might affect neighbours. I would definitely recommend him for any tv or satellite work.

My mum's Freeview TV signal suddenly disappeared after a week of high winds. Steve came out the morning after our call and did a fault find, diagnosing the problem within a few minutes. Rather than being a costly new aerial (as we assumed due to the high winds), he diagnosed it as a faulty piece of equipment indoors and promptly replaced it. Quickly and cheaply repaired with no need for a costly new aerial as we assumed. Very friendly, efficient and great value for money.

Steve of Lucas Electronics assessed that my cable, which had been hanging loose, had most likely been vandalised. He repaired and extended the cable, clipping it firmly to the wall and the drain pipe. Excellent work and I strongly recommend his services.

My elderly fathers TV was having significant issues with the picture quality which was driving him mad. We engaged with Steve who came out to diagnose what the issue was. Extensive testing was carried out and it was identified that the aerial was the culprit and needed replacing. A price was given and we agreed to have the aerial replaced which Steve did there and then. He was thorough, meticulous and even asked the neighbor to move his car, just in case anything fell from the chimney stack that he would be attaching the new aerial to. Whilst fitting the aerial, Steve advised that we should have the chimney stack looked as it was in very poor condition. We are delighted with the work undertaken and it was certainly value for money, expecting the price to be much higher that Steve charged. Steve explained at every stage what he was testing and what the results were. I wish all traders were like this.

My joint TV and FM external aerial needed replacing as it was 44 years old and partly damaged. TV reception was suffering. Steve gave me all the information over the phone, and he got the parts while I was away, as planned, so once back, he contacted me to come and fix everything. It was quite a long job, more than three-and-a-half hours, but it was all done well and tidily, and tested before sign-off. He was very helpful and efficient, and I gladly recommend him to others.

Having suffered the disappearance of some live TV channels, I called Steve at Lucas Electronics, who promptly called at my house and identified a weak signal from the aerial. With my agreement he returned the next day to fit a new aerial and cabling. He made sure to involve me in the process and was helpful and friendly throughout and his work was neat and efficient. The job was quickly completed to the agreed price and I consider it to be good value. I am very satisfied with the work and would not hesitate to recommend this company to others.

I had been experiencing a problem with my TV picture related to the roof aerial. Within 24 hours of calling Steve he arrived, on time, and soon identified the problems, which he competently fixed keeping me informed of the work he was carrying out.

I initially contacted Steve by email and he was very quick to respond to my questions. Having booked an appointment, he arrived on time and quickly assessed our tv aerial problems, he clearly communicated his assessment and what the solutions were to us. Steve then replaced our old loft aerial, and amplifier, fitted a new aerial socket and plugs. Steve was very efficient and the cost was within the estimate we were given.
