I have had trouble with this toilet several times over 5/6 years. The leaking /dripping is especially irritating in the early hours and prevents my sleep. Lucas answered by online enquiry very promptly after I sent photos and quoted and came the next day. I used the Firm last January for a central heating breakdown. Once again the work was undertaken speedily, professionally and frankly I could not praise the young plumber more highly.The up to the wall toilet was not easy to deal with.I was shown how to deal with the new mechanism and the en suite was left spotless.

As a business it is hard to find a reliable company to fix ad-hoc plumbing issues, but Lucas Plumbing & Heating have this sorted. They were called to change over 3 TMV valves on the washroom showers which was done in a timely manor. A quotation was sent, which was agreed before the work was completed. Upon attendance, the engineer arrived within the timescales, the work was carried out and completed, left neat and tidy and everything working. An invoice was sent for the works as agreed which was paid promptly. Great communication throughout. A great service and would recommend their services. I will use them again.

Lucas Plumbing and Heating were very quick to give the initial quote and when I accepted the quote they were quick to respond with a date for the work. They did a power flush of my central heating system. The engineer arrived at the time they had stated; explained what he would be doing and got on with the job in an efficient manner keeping me updated throughout the day. I appreciate how he removed his boots when he came into the house.

Excellent and efficient service from Lucas Plumbing and Heating Ltd as always. The guys always turn up when they say they will, and are very quick, neat and tidy in getting the boiler service done. Even checked the pressures in the radiators this time too. Always gives me re-assurance and piece of mind that properly qualified tradesperson as they are, are giving me positive feedback that the boiler is safe and heating system is working efficiently.

Brackets to strap flue in attic

2 engineers fitted 3 brackets and batons to support them. They were friendly, polite and cleared up afterwards. British Gas required the flue brackets in line with current regulations, but do not do this work under our maintenance contract. Lucas did, then inspected the gas fire afterwards to certify it meets the standard, so we can use it again.

Appointments cancelled twice with calls cancelling the appointment on the day with same unbelievable reason given
I first contacted the trader on 9th January 2023 to arrange for an engineer to visit and service our boiler. The engineer's visit was arranged for the afternoon of 24th January. I took a day off work and I received a call on the afternoon of the 24th January that the engineer cannot attend (reason given but I am not allowed to mention it here for some strange reason). This call should have come in the morning. We arranged a new date of the morning of the 8th February 2023. I took another day off work and waited for the engineer to appear on the 8th February as expected. I received an email from Lucas plumbing on the 8th February that the engineer cannot attend again for the same reason as the first time. I was offered a date about 4 weeks later in March which takes us into Spring. I turned this date down as it is quite unacceptable and it is three months after the first contact and decided to approach another plumber.

Replacement Radiators & a new thermostat

6 old radiators were replaced including the removal of a heated towel rail to be replaced with a radiator. Plus a new thermostat. The work was done to the agreed budget, the estimator arrived when he said he would and also returned to check out the late addition of the removal of an existing heated towel rail to be replaced with a regular radiator. The revised quote was given very quickly at a very acceptable price, The estimator also listened to what I wanted. All three engineers, one senior, along with a 4th year day release and 1st year apprentice (who had already done 2 years at college), turned up on time. They worked very efficiently and tidily, cleaning up as they went. Shoes taken off as a matter of course whilst in the house. They were extremely polite but friendly. The senior engineer's attitude towards the newest apprentice was exemplary. Explaining why and how in a calm and professional manner. The system was double checked and the workings of the TRV's explained. Both the younger members of the team commented on how pleased they were to be working at Lucas Plumbing. I would not hesitate to recommend the company and this team. I was very pleased that I used Lucas and will certainly book them in to service my boiler in the summer.
