We always use Lucas Plumbing as they do an excellent job for a reasonable price. This time it was a quick and simple task to fix a radiator leak. Job done no more leaks!

Lucas Plumbing was recommended by a neighbour and when our central heating system failed, I originally called British Gas with whom we have a contract. They were unable to attend the repair for over ONE MONTH! I turned to Lucas Plumbing who sent their engineer round in a couple of hours; diagnosed the problem, got the system working and the next day, returned to fit a new valve. We have now placed an order with Lucas to supply a new boiler and do some other radiator work. We will not be continuing to use our previous supplier of home care services.

Had our annual boiler service again and as usual, the technician was on-time, pleasant and cleaned-up after the job. Can't fault these guys

We needed a replacement boiler as it was getting passed its 'sell by' date and requiring frequent attention. Four quotations were obtained, including one from Lucas Plumbing as they are on Which Trusted Traders. The visit to assess our need for a new boiler was very professional, fitting advice we had already been made aware of. The swiftly supplied quotation was comprehensive and very competitive. On acceptance of the quotation, an installation date was booked. The two installers arrived at the anticipated time on the day. Throughout the day they carefully ensured that social distancing was maintained. As expected, the boiler installation was completed by the end of the day. All areas were left very clean, and all waste including the old boiler was removed from site. The system had been power cleaned as a matter of course, and all radiators were checked for correct working. Overall we found Lucas Plumbing to be very approachable, reasonably priced and very professional. We have no hesitation in recommending their services.

I had my boiler serviced by Lucas plumbing and heating and can recommend them. Booking was straightforward, they were available within a week and the price is competitive. On the day their engineer took thorough Covid-19 precautions and carried out necessary checks and cleaning quickly, taking time to answer my questions. I also asked for quotes for plumbing work and was impressed by engagement from the customer services team afterwards.

Very pleased with the boiler service. The engineer was polite and courteous and very professional. He took all the Covid safety measures during his work. They always come as per the scheduled time and gave us feedback at the end. The new boiler was fitted and some alterations done last year by the same company’s skilled engineers. The work was excellent and I cannot recommend them highly enough for the the very professional way they approach their work. They take a pride in their work and great care to make sure that everything is done to high standards and also neatly. Very quick to follow up and issues. Everything was priced before hand and they kept to that. Their price was very competitive.

I called Lucas Plumbing on a Tuesday to get a mains stopcock replaced. I spoke to Emily. Friendly and polite, she told me how much it would cost and booked a slot for the Friday. I received an email confirmation right afterwards and a reminder the day before. The engineer, Luke, arrived on time and fixed the problem. He showed me what he'd done, and was - again - friendly, polite, and efficient. What can I say? Spot on. I'll definitely be calling them again.

Annual boiler service. Good information beforehand re Covid precautions. Time window and date agreed in advance and adhered to. Engineer was pleasant , masked, happy to fit in with us. Lucas plumbing always service boiler and we have no problems. Reliable and easy to deal with.

Another company let us down badly. Lucas were the nearest Which Trusted Trader. Called on Wednesday pm. George came at 8 am Thursday, fixed the central heating breakdown, cleaned up the condensate overflow, and carefully explained everything he was doing. He also gave good advice on less urgent gas-related issues. Much improved our understanding and left us happier, warmer and delighted with the Lucas service.

My appointment was made within a day. Well mannered courteous engineer. Quickly and efficiently worked out the problem and did what he could until the parts needed arrive. Will definitely use Lucas again and recommend them.

Really happy with the repair work undertaken on my oil boiler. Lucas Plumbing & Heating were able to attend quickly, undertook diagnostic and follow up work quickly and efficiently and all at a fair price. Really happy and would definitely recommend.

Boiler failed. Phoned just after 9AM. engineer was here within 2 hours. Fault identified and engineer returned the same afternoon and repaired. Very efficient and friendly service.

I would definitely recommend Lucas Plumbing & Heating. We had a leaky hot water cylinder that we decided to replace. Lucas Plumbing & Heating were quick to respond to my enquiry, attend the property, provide and amend quotes for work/products required, and contact me to arrange a date for work to be undertaken. The installation engineer was on time, courteous, professional, tidy, completed the work to a very high standard, removed the old cylinder and all other mess, tested the heating and hot water system thoroughly, and answered all my questions. We can’t believe how neat and tidy the new cylinder and associated pipework looks in comparison with the old system. The engineer did an excellent job, we are very grateful and will certainly be contacting Lucas Plumbing & Heating for annual servicing and to request that they undertake any additional plumbing jobs in future.

Our boiler stopped working on Sunday evening and by Monday morning we had arranged for someone to come out on Tuesday morning to assess what was wrong. They arrived on time and carried out the assessment which was to replace the gas valve. The office quoted for that and by the following day (Wednesday) the work was done and central heating restored. Good and speedy service both from the person doing the work and the office support personnel.

Very pleased to have found this trader. They were prompt, courteous, communicative, and most importantly did the work I needed and fixed the problem I had. I have previously had one or two other plumbers out to look at the issue with my heating system - who carried out different fixes that didn't resolve the problem. In this case, the experience shone through; they knew exactly what needed to be done, and my system has been converted to fully pumped, removing the problems I had with gravity hot water not working well. I'm glad I looked at TrustedTrader and went, this time, with a trader with great past reviews. Importantly, also, they added a small piece of pipework configuration for the future; should my boiler need to be changed in future. This wasn't necessary now but gives an example of how they delivered a quality service.

The problem: faulty flush valve in upstairs toilet was forcing water thro external soil pipe which over time began to leak onto garage flat roof. The sequence: initial enquiry 26 Jan followed by site survey 2 Feb and quote 4 Feb. Quote was competitive with others & accepted. I was slightly concerned that the survey & actual work were to be done by 2 different people, but was assured the quote was accurate & firm. Engineer (Luke) arrived early 9 Feb. checked the job, went & got the bits he needed and completed phase one, returning 2 days later to complete & make good. Invoice arrived the following day - for exactly the amount quoted - and was paid 2 days later. The conclusion: What I liked was the clarity & efficiency of dealing with them; the engineer's patient & conscientious approach to his work; his pleasant & amenable manner. Be aware that Lucas charge VAT: I got the impression they are quite a sizeable business, but are pleasant, efficient and get the job done in reasonable time for a reasonable price.

First class job, engineer arrived on time, wearing COVID mask, Did the job as agreed, plus sorted out a leek under the kitchen sink, couldn’t have been more helpful.

Have had underfloor heating which has never worked efficiently since installation and recently not at all. George from Lucas plumbing made a comprehensive assessment of the problems and immediately gave me confidence that he could fix the problem. He was here for a complete day and despite some challenges fitted new pipework, valves and flushed out the system. A new pump was required and the system has been fantastic since and it has never worked as well. George and Phin were efficient and professional. They kept me in touch with the work through the day so I could see what they were doing. I couldn't recommend this company more highly. The telephone service was polite, clear and efficient and the cost of the work was very reasonable

We used Lucas Plumbing and Heating to fix some problems we were having with the underfloor heating and hot water in our new-build house with a smart heating system. From the initial phone call, through to the quotation visit and the work itself, everyone we dealt with was punctual, professional, and highly knowledgeable. The work was completed to a high quality and we were given good instructions on how to use the new equipment they installed. They also stricly followed Covid safety guidelines when working in our house, with masks at all times, ventilation, and social distancing observed, which was much appreciated. It was a pleasure doing business with Jake and his team - almost as much as having our heating working again!
