I saw Lucas Plumbing fitting a new boiler at my friends house. I was impressed by their professional and courteous service and asked them to come look at my heating system (The company that had installed it had been ignoring my requests to repair it for over 4 months). Lucas Plumbing came and carried out a free assessment and provided a quote, pointing out some other issues that needed attention. I needed a new thermostat, a new control panel, to stop a continuous over flow (6 months!) and a servicing of a pressure cylinder. The quote was reasonable and acceptable. Appointment booked to carry out work. Was sent emails to remind me near the day, and a note to remind payment by Debit Card only, which was fine. Named plumber, Scott arrived on the dot of 8am - was courteous, polite and respectful of my home, he carried out the work tidily and speedily, no mess, no bother. He walked me round all the work done and explained operational differences. Payment made over the phone to the office, I was especially pleased and impressed that the bill was down graded to a lower amount, because Scott had carried the work out in less time. Impressive honesty and ethics. I am very pleased and completely satisfied with the service provided and would readily recommend Lucas Plumbing and Heating to anyone and everyone looking for a reliable, professional, reasonably priced and courteous service. They completed the work requested, it took a little longer than expected but the job has been completed totally satisfactorily and on budget. Their representative was very polite communicative, extremely tidy - no water damage or leaks whatsoever. A very skilful plumber

I received and went ahead with a quote (which was based on some pictures of my plumbing setup I had emailed in to the admin office as requested) to replace a faulty cold water pressure reducing valve on my Megaflow system. The quotation process was quick and well detailed in terms of parts and labour. A reminder email was sent to me the day before the work was due to be carried out and the plumber (Scott) duly arrived on the day to complete the job as promised. He was very polite, took his shoes off when entering my home and completed the job to a high standard and left the place clean and tidy - as has been attested to by other reviews on this site. However, I have only given 3 stars for value as the quoted time I received to complete the job (2 hours) included having to make good (i.e. move / reposition) any pipework that didn't fit so that the new part (which had been updated since it was originally manufactured) could be accommodated in to my existing setup. As it turned out, the new part took up the same amount of space as the old and amending the pipework was not needed. However two hours was still taken to fit the new part which only required isolating the mains water supply (via the check valve in the same cupboard) and undoing a couple of compression joints to remove and then replace the faulty part. This work could have been completed in an hour or so (as quoted by another firm) and I feel that the last 30 - 45 minutes was used making up the quoted time.

We used Lucas Plumbing and Heating to replace a shower pump. We have been very impressed by their professionalism from enquiry to estimate to carrying out the work. The initial visit, to gauge the extent of the work, was very thorough. The estimate was well laid out, itemised and clear. Lewis turned up on the appointed day and worked diligently. There was no mess. The shower pump is working well. We will definitely use Lucas Plumbing and Heating for future plumbing problems.

We had a new boiler fitted along with three replacement radiators. The guys (Scott & Liam) were brilliant, knowledgeable, helpful and just really good at the job. They left everything neat, tidy and clean. Very highly recommended.

The trader fully explained the work that was going to be done : to replace my boiler, and resite it to an outside wall. A clear quotation arrived days later. Scott, theyou young mana who came to carry out the work was excellent: competent, courteous & friendly manner, explained clearly when I asked him questions, knew what he had to do & he cleared up & vacuumed each evening. When he finished the work he explained clearly how to operate the boiler. As some brick work needed replacing where pipes had been removed, two days later a builder arrived to replace the new bricks. He explained what he had to do and I could hardly tell where the new bricks were. They matched the existing ones. I am extremely pleased with the work done & and would certainly recommend this company!

I've used these guys a few times now, and they have always impressed. Very fast, friendly and professional, and very good value for the work that they do. They always clean up after themselves perfectly and have always provided a detailed and accurate quote before undertaking any significant work. I will continue to use and recommend them highly.

Very pleased with Lucas Plumbing and Heating - we had a leak under our hall floor and they were excellent all the way, from diagnosing the leak to fixing it and doing a couple of other small jobs along the way. Always punctual and pleasant to deal with, did what they said they would do when they said they would do it.

Had a change of boiler, a Nest thermostat installed and a shower changed. Both Scott and Liam were polite, helpful and worked quick and cleanly throughout. Can't recommend them and Lucas Plumbing and Heating highly enough. Quote was very competitive and did not change. All good from first call to final invoice.

I liked the communication with the office as it's always a disruption to a routine when something need to be fixed at short time. The time window for the visit was narrowed down at convenient times. The engineer was quick and knowledgeable, having left his shoes out and politely introduced himself, he was soon investigating the problem and he was open to questions who totally satisfied my curiosity. We have used Lucas Plumbing and Heating Ltd. to maintain our boilers (we have two), fit a new boiler and other general plumbing work for more than three years and the firm fitted the main boiler for the previous owners. We have always found them to be reliable and efficient and they seem to have a very good understanding of the systems we have and are able to maintain them to a high standard. They always turn up when they say they will and have never let us down. They operate very efficiently as well. We get email reminders when services are due and all work is backed up by a written quotation before the job is agreed. On the day or sometimes the day before we get an email reminder that the job is due which gives us confidence and a timely reminder. After work has been completed, invoicing is prompt and efficient and certificates for work such as boiler servicing are sent. We have been very pleased with the quality of the work and the service and have never needed to call them back. It is always done properly first time. It can be hard to find good plumbing and heating companies but we can certainly recommend this one. We are glad that the previous owner of this house recommended them to us.
