I first contacted the trader on 9th January 2023 to arrange for an engineer to visit and service our boiler. The engineer's visit was arranged for the afternoon of 24th January. I took a day off work and I received a call on the afternoon of the 24th January that the engineer cannot attend (reason given but I am not allowed to mention it here for some strange reason). This call should have come in the morning. We arranged a new date of the morning of the 8th February 2023. I took another day off work and waited for the engineer to appear on the 8th February as expected. I received an email from Lucas plumbing on the 8th February that the engineer cannot attend again for the same reason as the first time. I was offered a date about 4 weeks later in March which takes us into Spring. I turned this date down as it is quite unacceptable and it is three months after the first contact and decided to approach another plumber.

6 old radiators were replaced including the removal of a heated towel rail to be replaced with a radiator. Plus a new thermostat. The work was done to the agreed budget, the estimator arrived when he said he would and also returned to check out the late addition of the removal of an existing heated towel rail to be replaced with a regular radiator. The revised quote was given very quickly at a very acceptable price, The estimator also listened to what I wanted. All three engineers, one senior, along with a 4th year day release and 1st year apprentice (who had already done 2 years at college), turned up on time. They worked very efficiently and tidily, cleaning up as they went. Shoes taken off as a matter of course whilst in the house. They were extremely polite but friendly. The senior engineer's attitude towards the newest apprentice was exemplary. Explaining why and how in a calm and professional manner. The system was double checked and the workings of the TRV's explained. Both the younger members of the team commented on how pleased they were to be working at Lucas Plumbing. I would not hesitate to recommend the company and this team. I was very pleased that I used Lucas and will certainly book them in to service my boiler in the summer.

Finn the engineer was absolutely brilliant. Very thorough it what turned out to be a difficult job to conclusion. Radiators hot in the house that were stone cold before. Fantastic attitude and patient and painstakingly attended to the detail. Very happy with the Lucas Plumbing service. A great find and totally recommend this company.

Lucas are consistently excellent, we have used them for years and wouldn't go anywhere else. Always 'on the ball' whether it be routine service (which they remind us about) or for unscheduled/emergency issues to which they react very quickly. The engineers know their stuff or, if in training, can always get hold of the expertise they need. Getting hold of a part that may not be on the van is never a problem. I have used this company many times now for installation and service/repair I can’t fault them the engineers are very competent and really know what they are doing. I’ve used them on my own property and rented property I own For boiler repairs and anything to do with your heating system they are highly recommended

Thawed outside pipe burst and the Lucas Plumbing team came at short notice and repaired it within 20 minutes of arriving. Reasonable cost as at such short notice.

Lucas Plumbing fitted a smart thermostat system firstly at my parents and then after we we’re so impressed at our own home. They were a pleasure to deal with.

Friendly and polite, good communication throughout, arrived on time, did a great job, all reasonably priced.

After picking up Lucas Plumbing on internet, I appointed them for long pending work I had to do with UFH system. The skill set I felt was hard to find in the market but I was glad to have come across the trader. The job was completed as asked, promptly. UFH now performs better and is more efficient due to the refill, removing air locks from UFH pipework. I would recommend this trader.

This year’s annual boiler service was done smoothly and uneventful, however, in the past this company has fixed every heating problem with my previous aging oil heating system and installed new radiators in my previous home. They are loyal and come out the extra mile to support me after my house move. Recently they solved my underfloor heating problem in my new home. They are highly professional, efficient, reliable and friendly.

Called Lucas Plumbing first thing in the morning and they arrived within 2 hours. Once again exceptional service from Brian the technician who diagnosed the issue within a few minutes. The defective part was identified and he sourced it for the following day which he fitted at the end of his work scheduled for the next day. I have now used Lucas Plumbing for the last 5 years and every time they come up trumps with incredible service and expertise.

Had a small oil leak. Turned off the supply. They responded and fixed it within a couple of hours. Have used Lucas for a number of years now and highly recommend them. Friendly and experienced engineers.

They installed our boiler last year and we received an email reminder for the annual service. Their email system/office works well - with further reminders about the date of the service and the attending engineer. We engaged Lucas Plumbing to replace a lavatory. They provided a quote quickly, that we were happy with. Arranging a date about a week later to complete the job. The plumber, who was a very pleasant chap, turned up exactly on time and did a great job. Nothing but good things to say about our experience of using this company.

We had a leak coming through the lounge ceiling from a wash basin above and a previous plumber had cut a hole in the ceiling to prove where the leak was coming from but then did not want to do the work (but charged us for the visit). Other plumbers we talked to did not want the job either so it was a relief to get a company who were happy to help. All three guys who came around (one initially to review the work needed, one to do the work and another to fix a small issue afterwards) were very friendly and polite and explained everything to us. The work was done on the agreed day at the agreed price. My only small complaint would be that the charge for the initial visit, which I did not mind paying, was not explained to me when I organised that initial visit. The guy who did the work cleaned up afterwards and left things tidy. He also managed to remove three tiles without breaking them which was a huge bonus. There was a very small leak after the work had been done but they sent someone around almost straight away and he fixed the problem very fast. I would definitely use this company again.

Lucas Plumbing and Heating have been servicing our boiler annually for many years - perhaps around ten. Until this year there has been no problem with the boiler. The service took place on 30th May, and a problem was found. With the Platinum Jubilee intervening the repair was scheduled for 7th June. Then the wrong replacement part was delivered! However, the right part was sourced and delivered the next day, and fitted that day, much to our relief. From our experience, we believe Lucas Plumbing are a reliable and trustworthy company.
