M.A.W. Electrical Ltd are a firm of ECA approved electricians based in Bebington and serving the Wirral and surrounding areas. We have over 20 years of experience within the electrical industry and we operate in both the Commercial and Domestic sectors. We give free quotations on all of our work and we are happy to price for any job whether it be a full house rewire or the changing of a socket. Customer care is our priority and our staff are always on hand to answer any questions or offer any advice about electrics. Based at 167 Old Chester Road, Bebington, Wirral M.A.W. Mike and his team did a few jobs at our house whilst we renovated it. I found Mike helpful and suggested better and more efficient ways of doing things. His team were prompt and arrived at a time they said they would and carried out all work on budget with minimal disruption and to a high standard. I am always keen to use local tradesmen and Mike didn’t let me down. Would happily recommend them.

Not all as it seems - are they even registered?
An external company engaged this one to undertake an electrical report at my property. Unfortunately the report was full of mistakes and did not follow regulatory advice. I questioned these issues and simply received a 'corrected' version back. This threw their workmanship into question and now I am left wondering if they actually undertook the work that they claimed that they did. They did, however, send me a quote to 'fix' the work. I checked with others and they're at least 30% more expensive than others. I have checked and cannot find MAW on any electrical registration sites - are they even qualified to undertake electrical work? Be very careful if you do decide to engage this company - not all is at it seems.

Whilst we always appreciate feedback from our customers we would just like to address some of the points you have made here. MAW Electrical has been Fully Registered with the ECA for 20 years The report had some Minor Admin errors which were corrected. Your comment that it did not follow Regulatory Advice is unfounded as the EICR was carried out as per the BS 7671 Regulations and this has been confirmed to us by the Governing Body of the ECA Following the EICR Inspection at your property the Installation was classed as Unsatisfactory; we submitted a costing which is a fair reflection of the work required. We would expect all Landlords to regard the safety of their Tenants as their Highest Priority. Your statement in your earlier e mail to us regarding using the 16th Edition Regulations from 1994, to justify the safety of your existing Electrical Installation and not using the current 18th Edition Regulations would compromise the safety of any persons within your property MAW Electrical Ltd

I contacted MAW Electrical after looking on the Which Trusted Traders site for an Electrician locally to my elderly parents as they are unable to use the internet and I live out of their area. After speaking to them I arranged for them to install 2 x External Lights at my parents property. They were very helpful and carried out the work on the date agreed and at a reasonable price.They phoned my parents to let them know when they were on their way even phoned me later to let me know that the work had been competed and my parents were very happy with the Lights. Would use again.

We have just had a CCTV System and an Alarm System fitted by MAW Electrical and are very pleased with their service and attention. They completed the works as quoted and at a competitive price. The engineer was very helpful and made sure we were satisfied with everything before he left. We would definitely use them again for any electrical works we need and would recommend.

I found their front of house person to be efficient and friendly. The work on our property was rushed and not completed as you would expect, with tasks not fully finished off or checked. I found Mike to be very defensive, supporting his young electrician but not prepared to see the situation from the customers viewpoint.

We contacted MAW Electrical for a price to install some Air Conditioning Units .Mike came out to see us and explained all about the system and how it worked.We decided to go ahead and have them installed as the cost was very reasonable. Service was great from start to finish. We are very pleased as we have been using them for heat in the past cold months and hopefully for cool air in the coming summer. Would definitely recommend this company and use again.

I phoned M.A.W Electrical as following a water leak in my property I had lost the power to my Electrics. After explaining my circumstances that I had no Electrics in my property, they were excellent and sent an engineer around within an hour. All electrics were checked and sorted and power was restored - Thank you so much!

I was looking for a reliable electrical company and was impressed by their reviews so I thought I would contact them for a quote for a new Security Alarm System and a CCTV System that I was thinking of getting fitted. From my first contact with them I found them to be very professional and helpful. Their quote was very good and informative with a good price. I contacted M.A.W Electrical on behalf of my elderly parents as they wanted some outside security lights fitted and a wire free alarm system and they were unsure who to contact. After checking reviews for electricians in Wirral I decided to contact them. I found them very helpful, prompt and efficient and they provided very good prices. Their engineers attended as planned and I and my parents were very pleased with all their work. I will definitely use them again for any electrical works in the future and highly recommend .

We have recently had an Air Con Unit fitted in our Conservatory by M.A.W and are very pleased with the result . Our Conservatory is now hot in the winter and will be cool in the summer. Gave me the three different quotes I asked for to fix my bathroom fan. MAW explained the work in the lowest quote was the best option [saved me almost £50]. A polite and friendly electrician turned up on the due day and did the job, having first checked the current installation to ensure I did need the new parts. I signed off the work, the invoice was emailed to me with several options for payment. I made payment direct to their quoted bank account.

We recently had a failure of our CCTV system, as we use and store Radioactive sources it is a condition of our licence that we have a CCTV system. Mike had his guys on our site the next day, they removed the old system and fitted our new one the same day ish. Mike's guys were very professional, they all wore uniforms and cleared up after themselves, and there was very little disruption. We had several quotes for this work however non of them were available at such short notice, we are now using MAW on another project. I would have no hesitation recommending MAW.
