I originally contacted Mark B in April to obtain quote for the 2 elements. Mark A came out and viewed the property, taking measurements and talk about types of tile etc. Received my quotation a couple of days later which I accepted knowing that there would be a wait. Before the work commenced I needed to prune a hydrangea that grows on one side of the garage. Before I started I noticed a Robin nesting in the plant so advised Mark B that there would be delay my end. It wasn't until end of May that I was certain that the nest had been abandoned and could prune the hydrangea back. I then contacted Mark B to say I was ready. He called to advise work would start mid-July. Mark A started work on the garage Friday 19th and completed the both it and the porch by Mon 29th. The trailer was collected on 1 August. Mark A kept me informed throughout what he had done, explaining any issues he'd come across. Why have I left a delay before posting this review, well I wanted to wait until I'd had a decent bit of rain to ensure the repairs worked. Well I can say that after Storm Lilian, that water is running off the roofs nicely and I have no water ingress in either the garage or porch. Will be using Mark's services again.

Rotting wooden fascia boards replaced with uPVC & soffits added where required. Quotation received 25/05/24 with notice that waiting list of over 2 months envisaged. Terms acceptable. Job started 08/08/24, finished 12/08/24 (weather influence). Initial job requests from end of March to mid-May to other contractors (no job too small); completely unanswered,CheckaTrade were not helpful. I am a WHICH? subscriber &,belatedly, remembered they have a national register of reliable tradesmen. Instant success with Birchenough Construction. Initial inspection competent & follow-up query answered immediately. Mark Adshead did an excellent job and kept to his schedule, cleaned the site at the end & removed all accumulated rubbish. Communication at all times was exemplary.

Complete reroof of a terraced house of 1893 vintage. They were prompt in answering my email, and then surveyed the job at the right time. At all times I was kept informed about progress, dates for scaffolding to be installed and removed, and the progress of the work, which was completed to a very high standard in a reasonable time. Also pointing of chimney stacks and repair of lead flashing was done also to the same high standard. My new roof will hopefully last for many years now.

Have used Mark Birchenough Construction for 2 of my properties and very pleased with the work. Their expertise is valued and gives confidence. They focused on the damp problem and found the most efficient solution. Will use them again and recommend to friends.

BC can be recommended without reservation. We have had an issue with damp leaching into an inside wall. The problem was identified and addressed to our satisfaction. The work was carried out in the planned timescale and to budget. Communication was very good so there were no surprises. BC were very accommodating is rearranging their timetable to bring forward the completion of the work. Highly recommended.

Much in demand for a most excellent service, and well worth any wait for an appointment! Work to roof, chimneys, walls and other remedial odds and ends carried out through some awful weather, all to quoted timescale and to superb quality. Mark was very professional and kept me fully informed throughout. My neighbours also commented how impressed they were by his diligence and courtesy.

I had three tradesmen look at my roof and fascias without obtaining a consistent diagnosis or action plan. I looked up roofers on Which Trusted Traders and this company came up. Mark (not owner Mark) came to assess the issues and came up with a plan which included a couple of items of which I was not aware. The same Mark eventually came to do the work and was clearly in his element and proceeded without fuss and also kept me informed of results. I am delighted with the outcome which even to me looks slick and professional and communication with Mark was both easy and informative. I hope I won't need him again but this company would definitely be my first call

Completed the work to the agreed schedule. Always arrived at the arranged time. Carried out the work promptly and thoroughly and were helpful in discussing wider aspects of managing the causes of the water ingress.

Needed to get garage roof repaired . It was leaking badly. Felt very reassured when the person booked to do the repair did a temporary waterproofing and came to see that this had worked after the first storms we had .Work completed on time and in budget possibly not the cheapest but the quality of work surpassed this. Nothing has gone wrong since.
