BC can be recommended without reservation. We have had an issue with damp leaching into an inside wall. The problem was identified and addressed to our satisfaction. The work was carried out in the planned timescale and to budget. Communication was very good so there were no surprises. BC were very accommodating is rearranging their timetable to bring forward the completion of the work. Highly recommended.

Much in demand for a most excellent service, and well worth any wait for an appointment! Work to roof, chimneys, walls and other remedial odds and ends carried out through some awful weather, all to quoted timescale and to superb quality. I had three tradesmen look at my roof and fascias without obtaining a consistent diagnosis or action plan. I looked up roofers on Which Trusted Traders and this company came up. Mark (not owner Mark) came to assess the issues and came up with a plan which included a couple of items of which I was not aware. The same Mark eventually came to do the work and was clearly in his element and proceeded without fuss and also kept me informed of results. I am delighted with the outcome which even to me looks slick and professional and communication with Mark was both easy and informative. I hope I won't need him again but this company would definitely be my first call

Needed to get garage roof repaired . It was leaking badly. Felt very reassured when the person booked to do the repair did a temporary waterproofing and came to see that this had worked after the first storms we had .Work completed on time and in budget possibly not the cheapest but the quality of work surpassed this. One of the few local roofers willing to quote for and carry out the work on our leaking roof, did a thorough survey of the problem and repaired the roof to a high standard at the time agreed in a safe manner using scaffold. Not the cheapest and had to wait several months but worth waiting for.

I contacted Mark Birchenough Construction to check over and make repairs to my roof after another roofer told me I needed a complete re-roof. Their roofer came to the property very quickly and made a thorough estimate to complete the work. As expected, there was a short wait to get the work done but Mark communicated this clearly and the work was completed exactly when he said it would be. We had a number of tiles repaired and replaced, the chimney re-pointed and the ridge tiles seated and re-pointed, and the bill was very fair considering the amount of work done. The roofer talked me through any points of concern for the future and showed me photos of what had been completed. Overall, I'm extremely satisfied with both the service and the quality of the work completed. I have another small roofing job to do and will be contacting Mark again today. Highly recommended.

The damaged lead flashing in a roof valley and chimney cowl replacements were completed exactly as per quotation and within the estimated timescale and at the quoted cost estimate. I was kept informed on access requirements (for the scaffolding) and updated on progress at all times, and the site was left nice and clean. Maybe not the cheapest, but a good honest well done job. This is the second time I have employed the company and do not hesitate to recommend them.

Throughout the proceedings they carried out their work in a very professional manner; they were punctual, considerate and always kept us up to date with progress. They were particularly careful not to damage the lawn or plants in the front garden. We are very satisfied with the result. The cost of the work was good value. Having used Birchenough Construction previously (2016) we had no hesitation in contacting them again with regards to having a complete new roof on a property that we had acquired After receiving the estimate and agreeing the price (which was very competitive) the work was started on the agreed time and date. We were kept fully informed as to what was happening at all stages of the work as it progressed. Mark (the roofer) was very helpful and a complete professional. The work to replace my roof was carried out in accordance with the agreed quotation with no additional costs incurred. Mr Birchenough and his team were highly professional in all aspects of the job and the work was carried out promptly and in a timely, convenient way. At all times they were courteous and showed respect for my home, keeping everything clean and tidy. Mr Birchenough demonstrated knowledge and expertise beyond my normal expectations formed from experiences with other builders, proving his wealth of experience, level of skill and integrity. The quotation for the job was at the lower end of the estimates I obtained for the necessary work and I am thoroughly satisfied with the end result. I can confirm that there have been no problems or faults since completion of the work two years ago and I have no hesitation in recommending Mr Birchenough.

Birchenough Construction responded very quickly when called about a leak to our roof. A roofer came the same day to inspect and estimate. The formal estimate (£360 inc VAT) arrived quickly from Birchenough and the roofer returned early the following week to make the repair and followed up with a subsequent visit to check that everything was OK. The roofer was punctual, polite and professional and the work appears to have been carried out well. I was very surprised that making the repair took one man less than an hour and wrote to Birchenough to point out that a bill of £360 for less than two hours work, including the visits to estimate and then to check things were OK after the repair, is exorbitant and not what I would expect from a Which Trusted trader. I received no response to this letter.

I was fortunate enough to find Mark Birchenough to carry out roofing repairs, after three weeks of trying other firms who didn't even bother to turn up when promised. Mark responded quickly in arranging an assessment visit by one of his roofers at short notice. He arrived bank holiday Monday, was friendly, helpful, took photos to show us the problem and what needed doing. The quote from mark was very quick, done by email, so we were able to get the work arranged quickly. the same roofer did the work, spaced over two days because of the weather, came back to check it out and confirm everything was satisfactory. he cleared away all the rubbish and was generally pleasant and efficient. This work was agreed and carried out when the firm was extremely busy because of the heavy rain damage throughout the area. I have nothing but praise for mark and his roofer, who did what they promised, turned up when they promised and completed the work quickly and efficiently. They will be my first choice if we ever need roofing work again.
