Repairs
Repairs to cars are often needed urgently. Bring your car to us and we will repair it as soon as is possible.
MOT Testing
Book your car in a for an MOT test up to one month before it is due. This allows an overlap time whereby on completion of a successful test we can add unexpired time on production of your current certificate. Your test can either be on a while you wait basis by appointment or left for collection by phone call. All MOT testing is retested free of charge within inspectorate guidelines.
Tyres
We use a wide range of tyre manufacturers including Continental, Michelin, Viking, Goodyear, with an option of quality economy tyres to suit your needs.

Our battery stocks are supplied with a three year comprehensive warranty. Most applications are currently in stock.

The garage quickly diagnosed a fault with the car rear/tail light which meant replacement of the light unit . Excellent service received - I was kept informed of progress with obtaining the part , quick scheduling of the work required and work completed quickly and carefully. I visited Handforth Garage this morning with an urgent issue with my car tyre. Was amazed at their prompt customer service. The individual at reception called out to his colleague in the tyre section after listening to my car issue. My tyre issue was promptly and efficiently sorted, and I was off to work in under 10 minutes. Mercedes’ dealership were offering me an appointment in 2 weeks to look at the issue. I would highly recommend Handforth Garage, as prompt and courteous customer service is very rare these days.

Car broke down with a failed clutch. We are down to one car and run a family etc. - so now without a car we were stuffed. With pandemic ending everyone is servicing, fixing their cars so all garages are full with lead times between two to three weeks. Needed to get the car towed to a garage so called around the usual ones we use with no availability. I called Handforth Garage and was blown away by their helpfulness, efficient service. Sandra on the phone got me a very competitive quote, managed to slot me in and helped with towing arrangements. One day later my car is back on the road, and they did an excellent job with the clutch and actually my car is even more responsive. On future I will be bringing my business here again. They were very pleasant at reception. I left the garage with a smile on my face!

Brilliant service and response l called with a knocking noise from under the car, Sandra the proprietor got one of the mechanics to go for a test drive there and then, the car was booked in for a couple of days later, they identified the problem which was a burst shock absorber, repaired it and even dropped the car off later the same day. I had a warning come up on my car about break pads, took it in to Handforth Garage and the lads assessed it and called me to show me the works. They also went through the other works with me that needed to be done and showed the mess of my other brakes! The lads were extremely helpful and were giving me frequent updates. I definitely recommend these guys! 100%!

I am a previous customer and had my car MOT’d there last year. I took my car in yesterday due to a noisy engine and the oil pressure warning light flashing intermittently. I hadn’t made an appointment and arrived on spec as I was about to use the motorway for a short journey. The team at Handforth Garage was brilliant. My car was checked straight away (despite it being lunchtime) and fixed without any trouble. I find their expertise and customer service second to none and nothing is too much trouble for them.

I had my car in for an MOT today, thankfully it passed. Which I was pleased about as I had been another tyre company about 6 weeks before as I had a puncture one the weekend, they told me I needed front break discs and pads replacing within the next month... They quoted me £230 for a Ford Fiesta. Handforth Garage told me that they are fine and definitely not in need of replacement. Honest local family friendly company, not large national company who clearly lied to me! So totally recommend Handforth Garage.

Aaron and 'Jacko' are always available to discuss any issues no matter how busy they are and you never spend ages waiting for the phone to be answered as is my experience with other garages. Work has been done on two Ford cars with intermittent technical faults associated with the instrument cluster. Both required significant diagnostic work and the problems have been resolved. My clutch went in the Driving School car and without hesitation Arron, customer servicer manager, arranged for the work to be carried out the next day and also fitted a new gear box and oil seals too. Aaron is always so friendly and helpful. Recently my car broke down and was repaired at a considerable distance from my home. It had to be repaired again as it was still faulty, but even though Handforth Garage wasn't liable for the fault, they lent me their courtesy car for a whole week at no charge. Outstanding. I have lived in my house for 52 years so I was here the day they opened this garage. For 22 years Handforth Garage have looked after our cars, and I can't praise them enough. Personally, I drive a Rover 406 1994 car and they have kept it on road for me! They are brilliant, they recently researched a new distributor for my car which took them 5 weeks to trace - this is gold star service. They are so lovely, right from the time you go in office to when you go to collect your car. They have never ever failed us for 22 years, I can't say any more really!

A neighbour recommended this garage to me some time ago as a much better value option for car service than the main dealers. I have just had an Audi A4 37,000 mile service carried out there, on a Saturday morning, for under £250; I believe the dealer price would be double that. Car is just out of warranty but apparently if it wasn't it wouldn't matter as they are part of a scheme that means using them or a similar independent won't invalidate the warranty.
