We were extremely impressed by the professionalism and care taken by Mario and team to refurbish and redecorate our house. Some of the work was very technical / challenging, but the guys still managed to deliver on time and to a high degree of quality. We were introduced to Mako Expert by our colour consultant at Little Greene, who had worked with them on previous jobs and had heard good reviews. We saw several decorators, but awarded the job to Mako Expert because they had a broad range of skills beyond decorating - Mario was able to bring in a plumber and general builder as well as the specialist decorator (Bogdan) who did the interior painting. We really enjoyed working with Mario and Bogdan. They work to a very high standard and checked in with us regularly to ensure we were happy with progress. We were pleasantly surprised by how quiet they were - we both work from home, one of us as a teacher, and so were concerned about how much noise and disruption there might be, but we need not have worried. They took every care to protect our carpets and furniture, while maintaining access to essential facilities in the kitchen / bathroom, and tidying away at the end of each day. We were also surprised how little dust and mess was created; again, this is something they take great pride in. At the end of the job, aside from the beautiful finish, it was like they were never here. We’re very happy with the quality of the work and would have no hesitation in recommending Mario, Bogdan and the team at Mako Expert for your next project.

We used Mario and his team to do a series of renovations ahead of our baby being born. The work done was exceptional. The team were all experts in their fields, they were extremely respectful of my very pregnant state, and they were honest about work they wouldn't be able to cover. The work was done to a extremely high level, and the communication was very clear. It was all finished on time and on budget. The work covered was: - Repainting the entire house - The stairs were sanded and re-oiled - Damp caused by a leaking gutter was fixed including damage to the wall - A damaged outer window frame was fixed - A kitchen extractor fan was installed - A large bookcase was installed - Shelves were built into a cupborad - Some bathroom resealing and door fixes Their team covers a variety of construction and decoration services. They met every request I had, with the exception of some electrical work, but they put me in touch with great tradesmen. I really trusted their opinion and the solutions they brought for each piece of work. Everything was completed to the highest standard, particularly the painting, including the use of higher grade paint so that the fumes were safe. Every edge and finish was perfect. I think the thing that stood out most was the communication, all emails were replied to within 2 hours and at the end of every day we met to go over the work done and where we were with costs. I very highly recommend Mako Expert, we were so happy with everything.

We employed MakoExpert to prepare and repaint our open-plan kitchen/living area and deal with particular issues to certain walls in both bedrooms and hallway. The main bedroom had two adjacent walls with damp, the extent of which we had not been aware, which needed some replastering and repainting. The work was carried out by Mario and one of his team to a high standard and on time. Mario is very organised, meticulous, knows how to fix problems, what material to use and has the equipment to hand. The floor was protected with correx board and furniture, lighting, carpets, bedding, and kitchen units suitably covered too. They tidied up daily. From initial contact communication was excellent with a detailed contract of what to expect; nothing was too much trouble. We are pleased with the result.

I hired Mario and his team to paint my home and take care of a number of issues (water damage, cracked tiles, missing grout/silicone, etc.). It was a fairly large piece of work lasting three weeks, with my family and me continuing to live here. Two areas where I believe that Mario excels: (1) Attention to detail. Throughout all the works carried out, it was clear that the team cared about the quality of what they were doing: choosing the right paints for each room, perfectly aligned edges, covering all of the wall fixtures, covering the furniture. In addition, Mario spotted a number of issues that required maintenance and pointed them out to me (always confirming whether I wanted to fix them as part of this job or in the future). (2) Ease of doing business. From the very beginning, Mario planned his work around the fact we were living here, minimising impact to our lives. Mario attended the site personally every day, always with a smile, confirming what the plan was for that day and either doing some of the work himself, or monitoring his team. This made it very easy for me to see progress and confirm details when required. Mario is a rare find, and I personally will continue to give him my business for the foreseeable future.

We recently purchased a house that needed redecoration before we moved in to quite a tight deadline. Mario and his team worked tirelessly, late hours and seven days a week to get the work completed on time. They even managed to fix several things that we expected to hire other contractors for, all optional and fairly priced. The work was completed to a high standard, which I'm sure will last for many years to come. Communication was excellent, and Mario took the time to accompany us in selecting paint colours before painting which was a great touch. From the first meeting, Mario showed his enthusiasm for the project and kept us updated throughout. He's also given us a few tips for maintenance afterwards to ensure the house remains in good condition in future.

Mario was very quick and professional with all his communication and organising a date to complete the work. Everything was done to a really high standard with my bathroom and he came back to help later that day when there was a small issue with the lock on the bathroom door. I later booked him for another job to fix a rail that had fallen off the wall and taken some wall with it. He went above and beyond with the work that he did, doing some extra bits to make sure that it was reinforced so I wouldn't have any issues in the future. Very impressed.

I needed some work done to my property with a tight deadline. Mario met me at the property less than 24hrs after my initial inquiry, and started the project the following day. Mario and his team covered an extensive list of improvements which included painting walls and woodwork throughout, tidying up poorly maintained skirting, grouting and electrical work. Everything was done within the promised timeframe and finished to a beautiful standard. Mario kept me up to date throughout and was happy to talk through any concerns I had. We had our flat painted/decorated and cleaned by Mario and team to prepare for a sale. They did a good job and the flat looks good as new. Mario project managed this from start to finish. I gave him the keys on day one and collected them from him at the end of the project. Mario sent me updates on WhatsApp, including a nifty mid point video. They left the flat clean and tidy, and I've not had any complaints from the neighbors about noise or disruption.

Makoexpert - Mario and his team were great when we recently hired them to repaint our entire house. They were timely, dedicated and precise. The job took place with me and my family in the house and they were flexible and considerate whilst still being very hard working. Indeed, we had a strict time limit and they worked some weekends and evenings to ensure they were done on time. Mario and his team were always friendly and polite throughout. They were also very clear at communicating - what was needed, when things would be done etc. They were good not just at the basics of the job - ie painting all the rooms, but also other details like installing dado rails, minor carpentry and silicone replacement in the bathrooms. They even cleaned the windows when finishing the bedroom at the top of the house! Mario also engaged with us and helped think through problems we met along the way together. All snagging requests were dealt with in a timely manner. The house was left clean and tidy both during the job and at the end of the job. Overall we are really happy with them. They were extremely professional and good to work with. They were competitive on price and diligent on execution. I would certainly recommend Mario and his team for other jobs and am confident we will use them again when we next need and refurbishment work done.

Mako Expert were set the challenging task of painting our entire house in under a month. They did a brilliant job.l, and completed 2 days ahead of the deadline. The communication about what to expect, which rooms would be completed when, payment schedule, cost of paint, exactly where one colour should end etc was absolutely excellent. The painters were all professional and reliable, with protection put down to protect our flooring, lights etc. Mario did an excellent job of managing the project, ensuring I was happy with the standard of the work and communicating options for additional work. From my initial email Mario phoned me the next day and was able to give me a confident quote over the phone, to which he stuck to, and explained exactly what work it would involve them doing. The work was undertaken by one of his team, and Mario oversaw the work by dropping in most days to check progress. He was super responsive during all aspects of the job. I felt very assured by the quality of the team and asked for quotes and work for several other jobs around the flat, for which Mario quoted each and clearly explained what would be covered, giving fixed prices for all work. Mario clearly had a lot of experience but then also brought in his gas engineer and carpenter as part of the quoting and work for specialist parts of the job. They brought all the professional equipment needed such as the wood- shaving machine to take some layers off the door bottom. They were more than happy to pick up all the small points I noticed during snagging, and I always felt like my satisfaction was their primary priority, always more than happy to discuss my needs, the work, and their approach.

Mario and his team did a great job of completely renovating the top floor of my house. 3 Bedrooms, walls, floors, including some tricky challenges they found in my underfloor, they were able to resolve them creatively and to really high standards while keeping me informed of my options. I will call them again for my next project.

I used MakoExpert to do a range of work, including plastering, painting, brick pointing, carpentry, decking, electrical work, and some other repairs. I chose them due to the previous Which Trusted Trader reviews. Mario was very professional, and put down materials to keep the floors clean from dust while working, and used DeWalt and Mirka machines to work. He kept me informed of work progress, and proposed a range of other things that he thought should be done. The final work done is good and I'm happy with the flat. The only thing to consider is that it ended up being a lot more expensive than I had thought, and I ended up paying over double the initial contract from additional work (a lot of which was quite essential to do but was gradually added on), materials, etc.

Mario and his team did a great job on our house across a variety of different issues including roofing, pointing, general repairs. Mario has a keen eye for detail, is scrupulous is his approach and always provides solutions. He and his team are the tidiest and cleanest builders and always left the working area in an immaculate condition.

Mako Expert are a totally reliable and professional company that I have recently used for external painting of my house. They are trustworthy and completed the work to a high standard of finish. Queries were answered clearly and swiftly and their staff are well trained and the continuity they provided over the several weeks of the work was excellent. The office was efficient and the use of other professionals to whom they delegated work was also extremely well managed. They kept the site tidy and clean and well protected throughout. I recommend them very highly.

For the second time in the past 12 months, we have just used MakoExpert to coordinate and carry out a significant amount of work at our Buckinghamshire home. Our 5-bedroom detached house had been rented out for six years while we were overseas and was in need of substantial care and attention to return it to its original (new) condition. This was a large and complicated project that took place over a period of three months, with Mario leading teams of specialists to address items including interior repainting, grouting renewal, French polishing of a heavily scratched oak staircase, carpet removal and relaying, garage heating installation, garage floor painting, repainting of all window frames, renewal of all caulk linings throughout the house, overhaul of all doors and drawers to ensure proper opening and closing, deep cleaning of kitchen and utility room, testing of underfloor heating and associated IT controls, full electrical testing and repair, full heating system testing and replacement of boilers and pumps, plasterwork repair, and numerous other repairs and upgrades (e.g. window closing mechanisms, light switches, door stops, toilet flushing, window locks). The brief was essentially to make everything new again, as if the property had never been rented, and we simply couldn’t have achieved this without having someone we trust take care of everything. MakoExpert were excellent on every front. We recommend them strongly to anyone with a large or complex project.

I much appreciated the firm’s thoroughly professional approach. I was given a clear schedule of works, with costings, which was consistently adhered to. As the need for various further work became apparent, costings for those were promptly provided, and the additional work was carried out in an efficient and timely manner. All the work was done to a high standard, and I was regularly invited to inspect it. I had confidence in all the builders and decorators involved, who were consistently courteous , expert, conscientious and hard-working. The entire project was far from cheap, but executed to a high standard.

I asked them to refurbish a London flat, mostly complete redecoration. Mario and Joanna were very efficient and always got back to me quickly. Mario has good attention to detail and spotted other jobs that needed doing (all of which were then costed extras). The finished result is good. He is pleasant to deal with on site and works hard with his team to get the job done. Materials are generally not included on the quote and are bought at cost price. Leftover paint etc was offered to me to keep. The contract system included Stage payments and seemed very professional. It was pricey I think, with the disposal of rubbish being an optional costed extra (£300+VAT) when I’d expected it to be included. Mario was upfront about this from the start though. The final result is very good, so I may have paid more than I might, but a good result completed on a tight schedule was appreciated.

We needed some plastering work done on our walls. We engaged a number of vendors but Mako were the most in-depth and willing to come back to all of our follow-up questions. The quote was the priciest of all of the quote we received but we feel that we got good value for money: Mario was very responsive during the work; the job was done to a very high quality level and most importantly, they were very diligent about the post-work clean-up and waste removal.

We live overseas and needed a trustworthy and high-quality team to do a number of jobs at our five-bedroom detached home outside London, in our absence. MakoExpert took care of it all, including: repairing all window frames and doors to address weather-induced damage (including wood rot); rebuilding a first-floor balcony to give it a properly waterproof base and fit wooden decking; unblocking all guttering; identifying and replumbing an internal leak above the attached garage, with ceiling repair; advising on future interior refurbishment. This was a sizeable project that required full scaffolding front and back, and a crew of several individuals. The team was on site for two weeks. Mario kept us updated regularly with photos, videos, WhatsApp messages and calls. He was completely transparent throughout and ensured we were able to make informed decisions on issues discovered as work progressed. Joanna ran the administration, producing a clear contract, quotes and status reports to follow Mario’s on-the-ground feedback. All elements of the jobs were priced. The work was done to an excellent standard and we will have the team back next year for interior work before returning to live in the house. It’s refreshing and reassuring to find a business that delivers both technically and professionally, not least in the building trade. MakoExpert are such a business.

MakoExpert Ltd sent us a schedule of work with a starting date for scaffolding to be erected. All went exactly to plan. However, once the scaffolding was up it gave Mario a close up view of pipes without covers sticking out of the wall and some sewage pipes that were insecurely attached to the walls. Mario sent us a clear new estimate of what further work was needed. He brought in a specialised roofer who recommended how a small extension roof should be repaired, with an estimate. He also quoted for a complete refelting etc of a first floor balcony, from where water had been leaking into a pair of columns at the front door. All these new quotations were accurate and covered the amounts we were invoiced for. The work done was of the highest quality. There was minimum disruption of the household while work was in progress Mario paid us a courtesy visit every morning, reporting on ptogress.
