Sunshine Gardens

Malcolm’s team completed a fantastic job on our garden as usual. Cut back and pruned all bushes and shrubs, removed all the leaves from between the shrubs, cleared driveways of leaves and winter dirt accumulation. Then removed it all and took to the tip. Excellent work all completed on time in one day. Now we have booked them in March to clean our driveway and patio. The cost of all this work was very reasonable and I recommend them highly to all.

Malcolm and his helpers cleared bushes and undergrowth that were encroaching onto and diminishing our back garden. Working in the cold and wet they cleared a 'jungle' and turfed the new open space, adding about 100 sq. m. to our lawn. New shrubs were planted around the boundaries. He also installed a new soakaway to replace the original rainwater disposal that wasn't coping with heavy rainfall. This was part of a larger garden regeneration including new fencing and patio by others, with whom Malcolm liaised and co-operated. Helpful, friendly and knowledgeable.

The work Malcolm undertook for us was effectively to remedy the inadequacies of a previous contractor's work, including a moderate area of soil full of builder's rubble with clean workable soil and clearing a rather larger area of pea gravel, laying it with membrane, and using slate to replace the gravel. Subsequently he planted up all areas with shrubs and trees to enhance the appearance of the garden and create a labour-saving facility. His suggestions were particularly attractive and appropriate. Not the least noteworthy of Malcolm's wok was his workmate - the total work was completed in rather less than six days. He always discussed hi suggestions with us beforehand and his estimate of the cost was particularly accurate. In all the total cost was less than half we had paid for the botched initial landscaping. I cannot rate Malcolm's work and service too highly. I have no hesitation in recommending him on both quality and cost grounds.

Malcolm and his team set about our garden and within 48 hours had already transformed it. Their workmanship was excellent and Malcolm’s knowledge is second to none. Nothing was too much trouble and they worked incredibly hard, keeping everything tidy and with great attention to detail. Everything was left looking immaculate and the only problem was trying to get another time slot for more work as they are, understandably, incredibly popular. Highly recommended. We had an idea of how our garden should look but Malcolm and his hard working team turned it into a reality. Lots of people have commented on how much bigger the garden looks and how improved it is. Having two dogs we had to do something and Malcolm helped us realise the best way to do it. Not only to we have a dog proof garden we have a beautiful area to enjoy. Malcolm also helped us manage the budget and was completely upfront about costs. We couldn’t be happier about the end result and Malcolm’s expertise and knowledge of all the plants to use. His team also should get a mention. Hard working and kept everything clean and tidy at the end of each day.

Sunshine Gardens carried out some excellent work in our front garden a few years back so we had no hesitation in calling Malcolm and his team in once again. We have a large back garden and needed it to be cleared and completely landscaped to accommodate our needs. A new patio, lawn area and a considerable amount of brickwork around raised beds was required. The project took approximately two months and all areas were completed to an exceptionally high standard and within the agreed budget. Malcolm's attention to detail and vast knowledge of and choice of plants complimented the patio and brickwork perfectly. We are delighted with the result.

I cannot praise Malcolm and his assistant more highly. We had a garden that we were starting to fall out of love with as it had become overgrown and slightly overwhelming. We needed 2 trees removing, a long run of box hedging that had blight and a general removal/trimming and tidy up of the garden. Malcolm achieved in one and a half days what would have taken us months to do! Worthy of note is how tidy they work. Everything is cut up and transported out of the garden in dustbins. This keeps mess to a minimum and reduces the chance of any damage to property etc. Malcolm has excellent knowledge of plants and was able to give advice and supply some nice and unusual plants to start us off.

Having had Malcolm and his team clear our jungle of a garden in the summer we were keen to have them back as soon as they could to design and create our front and back gardens. They totally transformed our outside space arranging and planting for us and creating a lovely patio area to go with the new grass. Great people to have around and the highest standard of workmanship. Several of our neighbours saw the results and now are booking Sunshine Gardens themselves. Highly recommended!
