From humble beginnings Ingram's have now evolved into a company offering a wide range of services both to the public and commercial sector alike. Established for over 60 years, we are a family managed company that prides itself on delivering a consistent quality service tailored to individual customer requirements. Being a versatile company we cater for all types of requests for removals and storage. We employ professional staff and run a modern fleet of Mercedes Benz vehicles which allows us to respond to a very wide variety of requests from our customers, quite often at short notice.
As members of the British Association of Removers we adhere to a strict code of conduct in all our dealings with customers, from their initial enquiry up to completion. Through our quality of work we have also gained British Standard EN 12522 accreditation for our professional domestic removals and storage service. We have over 40 years of membership with BAR.

Just a quick message to thank you for the outstanding service from you and your team. From start to finish it has been a lovely experience. On the day, Cameron, Grant and James did an excellent job which we didn't fully appreciate until we had unpacked fully. Everything was wrapped very carefully - not even the slightest sign of damage! On arrival in Nantwich, Cameron, James and Neil then unloaded everything quickly, with everything going where we wanted it. They even offered to rebuild all the beds even though we'd only asked for one to be done. The team were all so pleasant and nothing was too much trouble. All in all, we'd definitely recommend your company, please pass on our thanks again to the team

Ingram's are fantastic movers - they have now moved us twice, and on both occasions have been brilliant. They've worked with speed and care, taken account of all our requests and preferences, and I wouldn't hesitate to use them again! On this occasion, we had fairly short notice of our move, and several more local movers were unable to help us - Malcolm managed to work things out, and turn things around at short notice despite us being further from their base. Malcolm himself is very friendly and helpful, and all of our packers and movers were also friendly, helpful and efficient - they made a stressful time much smoother and we had some great chats.

Ingram's offers a fantastic service. We relocated from Bishop Auckland to Anglesey and our moving dates changed multiple times, and this was never a problem for Malcolm. Our furniture ended up going into storage for two weeks - all our items were handled with care, and arrived in perfect condition. The moving crew were second to none, so hard working and really lovely guys. Ingram's is definitely the best removal company we've ever used.

I’ve used Ingram’s twice within one year. Ingram’s provide a first class service in all respects. Malcolm is always easily available to communicate with whether by phone or email and he’s super efficient and incredibly helpful. I used the pack and move service, everything was carefully packed and labelled so it arrived in the appropriate room at the new property. Over the five days of the move I met all of Ingram’s removal team, each one was excellent, helpful, hard working, efficient and they worked together brilliantly. The team took immense care with my furniture and ensured they didn’t damage the furniture or new property. The weather was dreadful, snow, rain and strong winds but they preserved through it all. Ingram’s took so much stress out of moving which was wonderful. Top notch all around.

I recently moved from Didcot to Barnard Castle and used Ingrams. Malcolm and his team were fantastic. I have 2 children under 2 one of which was 1 week old when I moved. The guys made my move so much easier and Malcolm was really helpful and friendly throughout, managing to get me into my new house a few days earlier when he had a cancellation. Great service, would definitely recommend!

What a brilliant service! From Malcolm coming to assess my belongings to move to the actual move it was smooth and efficient. All the staff were professional and personable throughout. The move took place on the last day before they broke up for Christmas, I thought they would be in a hurry to “just get the job done” but they were very careful with all my belongings. They had to move a very heavy piece of furniture twice as I didn’t like it in the place I’d allocated, it even had to go up another floor which was very difficult to reach. Malcolm also arranged to have a small van sent to take a piece of furniture that they had packaged ready to store. You hear so many horror stories with removals but not with Ingrams, couldn’t recommend them enough. Brilliant.

We used Ingrams 20 years ago and they were our number one choice for this move. The team that moved us out were really helpful and friendly. Working efficiently and without any drama. All of our worldly goods then went into storage for 5 months. Having visited the storage facility in advance we were confident that we were in good hands. On the day of moving into our new home it was a different team but just as friendly and efficient as the first team. Everything was moved in and positioned as required with not so much as a scraped wall. I hope we don’t move again anytime soon but if we do Ingrams would be the first choice again.

Ingrams were lovely from the first call to the last item placed in our new home. Our home move probably wasn't the easiest as we were moving from a slightly awkward location (up a lane), so it required extra removers and double loading (van load then down a lane and reload into a larger vehicle)... despite this, there were no complaints at all, just very pleasant removers who made our day go very smoothly. All the team were a pleasure to have on our moving day and we recommend they very highly. The perfect company for a relaxed, stress free house move. Thank you so much Ingrams!

We had a complex house move combining the contents of 2 properties and relocating 250 miles away to a single property. The house buying process was relatively slow and Malcolm Ingram the Operations Manager at Ingram's was always available by phone and email to plan and negotiate the details of the move and support us. John came out to do the estimate for the move and was in charge of the team when we did move. The move went very smoothly and an item that I had put into storage earlier with Ingrams was there on the van on removals day. Dealing with Ingram's was the only part of the house buying process that I would wish to repeat, it was so organised, supportive and friendly!

They say moving is one of the most stressful things you'll do and it certainly is especially when it's a big move! The team at Ingrams were amazing, really thought through the logistics that rural living bring. They were friendly, helpful and made the process a lot more enjoyable (even when dismantling a grand piano!) Whilst I don't want to move for a long time I would certainly use them again without question.

My sister and I arranged for Ingram's to clear our mother's bungalow for us, after she sadly died earlier this year. From the start, Ian and Malcolm were helpful, kind, prompt, and efficient. Mam had kept the bungalow fairly tidy, but there was still tons of stuff to shift. Ingram's kept within agreed timing and budget, and we especially appreciated the trouble they take to get certain items to auction and to charity, as well as their responsible use of landfill. They also took the time to leave the bungalow very clean and neat. They did a sad and difficult job very well for a grieving family. If you want a removals/clearance firm with integrity, Ingram's is the one for you. Highly recommended.

From my initial enquiry to the final box being unloaded, Ingrams were outstanding. Malcolm and Ian Ingram are so warm and friendly on the phone and offered me advice and helped regarding my move which had restricted access. I was provided with many boxes, wrapping and portable wardrobes which we soon filled up but they brought us more on the day. The 3 man removal team were very respectful and polite and took great care with all my items and the whole operation went without a hitch. I can’t recommend this company enough, I was so worried about the whole thing and as soon as they arrived my fears faded away. Top class service. Thank you.

Ingrams have just moved us across Darlington, the second time we’ve used their services. Moving house is not fun, especially at our age! We have quite a lot of stuff after 50 years of accumulation but the team of 4 made light work of it. Importantly, they were not just efficient but helpful, humorous and considerate, going out of their way to get everything exactly as we wanted it. From first contact through pricing to collection of boxes after our move I cannot fault Ingrams and wholeheartedly recommend them.

They safely removed all my belongings from the home in one morning, stored them for several months and delivered back to me on the date and time agreed with no issues. The whole team at Ingram’s were phenomenal. Malcolm was superb at responding to phone calls, emails and enquiries before, during and after the move. Malcolm offered genuine advice which helped so much. We opted for the ‘pack and move’ option which was carried out with the highest levels of diligence and professionalism. Nothing was damaged, in fact after the move our furniture was assembled fantastically. The packing team from Ingram’s arrived punctually and nothing was too much trouble for them, they were effective and efficient. They packed for two days, stored our belongings over a weekend and left us with ‘weekend essentials’ which they packed on a Monday (the planned day to move). However due to circumstances beyond our control we could not move into our next property! Malcolm and the team were so fantastic and stored our belongings with no fuss. I recommend Ingram’s unreservedly. Thank you guys for everything you did so brilliantly, you are awesome.

I cannot recommend this long-established, family company highly enough. Nothing was too much trouble. It could have been stressful for me to move to the other end of the country on my own after being widowed, but, beginning with a home visit, any follow-up question, no matter how basic, was promptly and reassuringly answered. They skilfully moved my piano. They packed everything up and took stuff I didn’t need to auction, charity or dump. They even were happy to bring back items of furniture which turned out to be too big for my new property. The guys who did the removal could not have been more friendly or more helpful. Just wonderful service.

I could give a long review but to be honest couldnt praise this company enough. We were let down by another firm with 10 days to go and ingrams picked us up. They were marvellous. A chair was broken but was speedily repaired. Im 79 and wont be moving again but if i was Ingrams would be my choice

Having used Ingram's for a second time recently I would like to recommend their complete service which gave me complete peace of mind. From the no-nonsense quotation, prompt arrival, tireless work ethic and polite/helpful moving staff - as well as all the little extras that were 'no-trouble' for the lads... all the extra dismantling and re-erection of furniture, special packing requirements - we hope the cups of tea were sufficient to fuel your guys. What an amazing service offered by Ingrams! Simo came to our house to arrange a quotation and this was quickly followed up by Malcolm, who gave us various options of service, as requested. We chose to have the packing service; Kevin and Ray (with James in the afternoon) arrived on the first day to pack and load the lorry. Now we are really fussy and also a bit OCD (very!) but we soon relaxed as we watched them cover the ivory coloured carpets with protective plastic, produce very sturdy Ingram boxes and copious fresh paper to carefully pack our items. In addition certain items i.e pictures were packed with “international” covering for extra protection. All the boxes were labelled for the rooms in our new home. The guys were totally professional, courteous and friendly throughout the day. This arrangement left us ample time to have a final clean of our old house. (the perfect stress free arrangement for us!). We had somewhere else to stay that night but we understand we could have had a bed picked up the next morning if we had wanted. Early next morning Ray and Simo were waiting outside our new home in the lorry. They unpacked carefully and even when it started to rain, they did whatever they could to prevent any damage to our items, i.e put a cover over the mattresses, wiped dry with a cloth, etc. For information, our new builders implied we may need to touch up a bit of paint after our furniture was moved into the house - well we don’t need to because they didn’t make any marks on the walls at all! Although we are hoping this house will be our final home if we ever did move again, we would definitely use Ingram’s. We have already shared our experience with others and will continue to do so. Thank you so much Malcolm and the team.
