25+ years of experience. I am a skilled and dedicated tradesman who is punctual, polite and professional. I undertake all aspects of property improvement including any area of carpentry and joinery. I design and fit kitchens and bathrooms. I project manage jobs from start to finish with qualified tradesmen for plastering, tiling, plumbing, electrical work, painting and decorating. I am proud of the good reputation I have built over the years with much of my work coming from personal recommendation.

Marc is a wonderful builder. I live in a bungalow and the building work involved moving the kitchen to the bedroom to provide more space and turning the old kitchen into a bedroom. The work was multifaceted Marc with his wife Trace carefully planned and executed every step of the way. The work involved a moving and installing a new boiler, new electrics, new plumbing, installation of new kitchen cupboards, integrated units, quartz work tops, flooring and kitchen island. Marc succeeded in creating my dream kitchen. He provided good advice as to what materials should be used and what would work best in the kitchen. Marc and is assistant did the majority of the work but where he had to bring specialists such as a plumber, electrician and work top fitters he ensure that they were of a high calibre. He treated the project as he was working on his own home. Marc started when he said he would start and he overran by just a few days. That was an amazing achievement since the work was carried out in Covid lockdown and delays were caused as a direct consequence of Covid. The only outstanding work was the delivery and installation of a combi microwave which was significantly delayed due to the pandemic. This has now been installed. The work was done to a very high standard and was clearly planned and co-ordinated. Marc kept me in the loop and was always very helpful. I would thoroughly recommend him and would definitively use Marc again.

We wanted to re-floor 3 inter-connecting rooms and hall in our house with engineered wood. Changes made by previous owners meant that floor levels differed slightly room to room, a potential problem for this kind of material. We had never done this sort of thing before so needed someone who could talk us through how to resolve this problem. Marc came and did a survey, understanding exactly what we wanted and suggesting how he would approach the work. He measured up, described different options for the wood, suggested suppliers and quickly sent an email estimate for the work with dates for his availability. When COVID struck, Trace was soon in touch to tell us how timing for the work would be affected. In fact, Marc and Trace were always available by phone and email for updates, something we really appreciated. The work went smoothly, all problems solved and we have exactly what we wanted. The floor throughout looks great. Attention to detail in the finishing, site cleared and cleaned, final bill as estimated, these things are important as well and you couldn't ask for more. We would have no hesitation in recommending Marc and Trace.

We were apprehensive about the challenge of refurbishing a shower room with a significant black mould problem but right from the first contact, Marc and Trace put our minds completely at rest. Trace is a calm and efficient organiser and Marc, ably assisted by Adam, is a skilled professional who took every challenge in his stride. Marc started the job just before lockdown and completed it as soon as regulations allowed, taking every precaution to ensure we stayed Covid-secure. We're delighted with the results.

Our stairs had a dangerously insecure top newel post, as assessed by a Local Council survey. We approached a number of contractors; none would quote, because of the position of the post in our late-C18 building. Marc was the last tradesman to see it. He identified the problem, offered a solution that seemed to us very practicable and in keeping with the 'beamed' construction of the property, and at a surprisingly reasonable price. Because of the danger to my wife that the defect created, he was keen to do the work as soon as possible. He came specially on the Saturday before Christmas, brought a beautiful piece of 'finished' solid oak and secured it, first to the newel post and then to the beamed structure of the floor below, in a manner no-one else had thought possible. A week or so later my wife stumbled, and would certainly have fallen down the stairs if the newel post had not been strengthened by this skilled and technically-creative tradesman. Throughout, his main concern was to create speedily a safe bannister for us, even when it meant inconveniencing himself. His attitudes of concern and helpfulness are shared by his wife who assists in the admin of the company. A thoroughly delightful couple in all respects. It has been an outstanding pleasure to do business with Marc Voss Property Solutions.

Marc Voss is an excellent, multi-skilled builder. In the latter part of 2018, our challenge was to bring a dated 1930s house into the 21st century. Marc was able to help us transform this house into a modern, light space, drawing from his broad range of talents. Where expertise outside his normal remit was required, he would source those trades as necessary. His wife, Trace, with her exemplary communication and organisational skills supported him, and indeed us, throughout the entire project. They work very much as a team. We had walls opened up, RSJs inserted, damp floors dug out to considerable depth, refilled and a DPM inserted, loft hatch relocated and loft re-insulated & boarded out, walls stripped of plaster back to the brick, extensive carpentry carried out, including new doors and surrounds, kitchen and bathrooms rebuilt, laminate floor laid, etc etc. Marc was tireless and dedicated and spent some nine months with us, renovating our now lovely house. He’s a talented man.

Marc and Trace have recently completed refurnishing a bathroom in my property. From the beginning the service that Marc and Trace offered was excellent. Interior design is far from my forte and both were very patient with me as we worked together to design a functional and stunning bathroom. Marc came up with some very creative solutions to effectively use an odd sized room in an old house. The house is over 100 years old and has previously been a rental property for several decades. Existing work in the space was cheap, quickly done and to a very low quality. As the additional challenges this created cropped up Marc rectified all of them to a very high quality and with minimal delay. The finished bathroom is incredible. I didn't think that it would be possible to make such good use of the space. The ability to actually stand up in the shower and not touch all 4 walls at once has made a huge difference to my early mornings. I couldn't be happier. Marc returned promptly to rectify any outstanding niggles as they were noticed.

We needed someone we could trust as we wanted the majority of the work done whilst we were on holiday, I had known Marc from my school days and had read the reviews on his excellent previous work. He didn’t disappoint, made everything so easy answering all our questions, quick accurate quote, agreed a time to be finished so I could organise carpet, sofas etc. Then we went on holiday and left him to it....The work he completed was faultless; electrics, plastering, painting, fitted a new radiator, spotlights, skirting boards & even bricking up an old fire place and putting in a new one. Kept me informed on progress throughout and even watered our garden during the hottest week of the year. Marc’s work is top quality, but more importantly he’s a great bloke who make the whole process a pleasure. Love our new lounge couldn’t be more happier.

Marc and Trace have been sorting out lots of unfinished / substandard work created by the previous builder and we are delighted with their workmanship,customer service and approach, in fact our whole unfortunate experience is being corrected and project- managed by MVPS who are doing a splendid job. After our previous builder let us down and left our home unfinished and in a terrible state, we struggled to get another builder to visit or even discuss our problems, that was until we contacted Marc. He came out to see us ,assessed all the issues : an unfinished kitchen, unusable toilet, a dodgy roof - the list goes on. Marc considered everything fully and discussed our needs and what would work best for us. It is always very difficult for a builder to correct another's faults and we are so grateful to him and his team for everything that has been done to such a high standard of professional craftsmanship.Thanks also go to Keith ,Dave, Rob, Luke and Sean, not forgetting George. He prioritised the work ,and along with Trace, fitted us in and around his existing jobs, even turning up on Christmas Eve, to ensure we had a fully functioning toilet for Christmas ! Throughout the work we have been kept updated and consulted to reach resolutions. The workmanship and attention to detail are second to none. MVPS have treated us and our home with respect and care, cleaning up at the end of each day and informing us of what the next steps will be. A first class professional tradesman .We will certainly be using MVPS again, and have told Marc that should he want to show an example of his work than we will be quite happy to agree to this.

Marc attended to complete repairs to our kitchen after a leak, this was completed to an exceptionally high standard and Marc helped out with loads of other little jobs to make sure the place was perfect. Marc is an experienced, professional, honest, reliable, polite and warm person. We had a lot of work done by Marc across our home, e.g. plastering, painting, plumbing, lighting, electrics, new internal doors, handles etc. The quality of his workmanship is high and he uses quality branded materials throughout. He brings in and coordinates other trades as required. He always arrives on time and does what he says he is going to do. He even went the extra mile to fix a splash back and curtain rails we had bought and fitted a window sill. He takes pride in the quality of his workmanship, offers good advice on all DIY matters and tidies up after himself at the end of every day. It was a pleasure to have Marc in our home, would recommend him unreservedly and look forward to working with him again. We cannot thank him enough for making our house feel like a home again.

I am delighted with my transformed lounge and very happy with the work that Mark did from initial contact to work completion. Trace answered all emails promptly and helpfully and Mark was happy to discuss our requirements, helpful in sourcing materials and happy to listen and take our suggestions on board. The job was more complex than it looked but Mark got on with it always cheerfully and tried his best to finish as quickly as possible which meant working weekend. The work was finished to a high standard and I would not hesitate in recommending Mark to friends and family.

We used Marc to fit a stud partition wall at the top of our stairs/spare room and move a door and frame. It was a tricky spot so needed careful consideration. It is always nerve wracking trying to pick someone, but Marc did not disappoint. Marc is a genuine, friendly, professional, punctual and skilled tradesmen. We felt totally comfortable leaving him alone in our home, safe in the knowledge he would be getting on with the job at hand and dealing with any issues that arose thoughtfully and with care. Marc was also incredibly tidy and cleaned up after himself at the end of each day. His quote for the work was also very reasonable and he didn't try to add any extras as he went along, even though he most likely came across some extra unexpected bits that needed doing. Marc is not like the usual tradesmen we have employed in the past. He is prompt, engaging and friendly. We had a number of questions before Marc started the job and he promptly replied to these, nothing seemed too much bother and he didn’t make you feel uneasy for asking the questions. Our house is only 13 years old, but after having previous tasks done about the house which revealed poor workmanship by the builder, we had concerns that the tasks of ripping out the old ensuite and completely replacing it would throw up similar nightmares, and it did. However, Marc calmly worked through the problems that arose and he, together with other tradesmen he employed, put things right and to an excellent standard. The workmanship is top notch and the final bill was also very reasonable. I also concur with a number of comments about his tidiness and him being happy to discuss the job and other maintenance jobs required in the house, without him pushing his own business – very refreshing to meet such a tradesman. Overall, the ensuite Marc has created for us is superb. I would highly recommend Marc’s services as you are not only guaranteed getting a top quality job at the end of it but you will also get one that will last. I will definitely be using his services again.

Marc is everything you want in a tradesman. Polite, prompt, friendly, fun, no bother, skilled, knowledgeable and experienced. We had an unusual paint job requiring many colours in a hall, stair well and landing and Marc executed it superbly with very steady hands and perfect lines all round. As others have mentioned, he cleans up after himself so the rooms are left in a state ready for you to use straight away. He was also happy to discuss other elements of house maintenance in a way that was more akin to passing on knowledge to a friend, rather than trying to push his business. He was happy to share contacts too, which has been great. Would highly recommend and will personally use again when needed. Thanks, Marc and everyone at MVPS.
