On his visit to assess the project, I was impressed by Marc Voss’s knowledge, attention to detail and helpfulness. I found the quotation to be entirely satisfactory and competitive. With the exception of the re-plastering and electrical work (the latter included a new fuse box, wiring for an electric oven and hob, and the fitting of an extractor fan in the bathroom) Marc carried out all of the work himself, ably assisted by his apprentice Ryan. The re-plastering and electrical work were undertaken by the tradesmen that Marc engages for such tasks. Marc carried out the fitting of new kitchen units, including an integrated oven, hob and extractor hood; tiling and the installation of a new suite in the bathroom; some re-plumbing and the laying of vinyl plank flooring; complete redecoration of the whole of the interior; and the repainting of the external woodwork and the pebbledash on the external walls. Marc and Ryan were always most cheerful and courteous, as were the other men who worked on the project. Admin matters were the responsibility of Trace - she was always very efficient and a pleasure to deal with. Every aspect of the entire project was completed to a very high standard. Marc’s thoroughness and eye for detail extended to very sound advice regarding fixtures and fittings and colour schemes. I was more than happy to take Marc’s advice and the end result is something far better than I had hoped for. I am so grateful. I recommend the company very highly indeed.

We've long talked about having our kitchen "done," but various things, such as COVID, had put a spanner in the works over the last few years. On "Which Trusted Traders," we found Marc (highly recommended) who came to view our very small kitchen in October 2023. His earliest start date was January 2nd, not ideal, but we'd waited so long for this, so we grabbed it. We talked over what we would like to do with our limited space and the proposal from Howden's Kitchens, a firm he had recommended for the kitchen units. We liked the overall quality of the units and Marc's recommendations for what could be done. Since Jan. 2nd, we've had Marc, with his apprentice Ryan & at times electrician John Metcalf (all 3 very pleasant people) to gut our old kitchen, level the floor, re-plaster, paint, put in a new ceiling for new spotlights, establishing 2 extra double sockets, move and install new radiator, before they could start to build our new kitchen. Marc has also made sure that the new hob, oven, extractor hood and fridge were fitted, incl. reversing the fridge door. Now almost finished, the kitchen looks very good. When problems have arisen, Marc and his team have overcome these with good results; and his firm has been very helpful also when we encountered a minor problem from Howden's, Trace sorting it out to our advantage. The team has delivered good work to a high quality and are very pleasant to have around. We can highly recommend Marc & his team.

Marc & his apprentice Ryan, installed a new kitchen in our bungalow in November 2023, from first meeting Marc he made use feel relaxed & able to talk to him, He went through all we would need to do gave use time to think it through & when we were shore what we wanted, he gave use an itemised account of how much everything would be. On start date they arrived on time & were both extremely professional. Plumbing, electrics, plasterwork & floor tiling were also arranged by Marc. He kept use up to date every step of the way, he also installed new interior doors & moved our loft trap. Communications with Marc & Tracy were excellent, Marc went above & beyond to ensure we were happy every step of the way, even coming back after job completed to fit our splash back. We hope they will be returning in the new year to do more work for use. We would highly recommend Marc & Ryan & we love our new kitchen.

Marc and his apprentice Ryan recently transformed our bathroom as well as installing some shelves in our study and kitchen. The bath was removed and a walk in shower and toilet added with new flooring and wall panels. Marc and Ryan were extremely professional, meticulous and thorough, as well as being really nice friendly guys. Communication from Marc and Trace was excellent and Marc talked through all the work he had to do (including problematic old plumbing) and always ensured we were onboard with any work. We love our new bathroom and highly recommend MPVS.

Marc came along to assess the work required. He impressed me with his initial attention to detail to fully understand the requirement. He arrived as promised, with Ryan his apprentice, to start the work and I was fully consulted on on the setting out to ensure that fire was properly installed into the timber studding. The plasterer Nigel followed and Marc completed the coving and skirting all perfectly matching into the existing profiles. The work was completed on time within budget to an excellent standard of materials and workmanship. The overall effect of the completed work is stunning. Most importantly Marc is such a good approachable person who keeps you informed at all stages, can be trusted and relied upon to get the job done.

Marc refitted our kitchen and organised replacement flooring and electrics. He was honest and up front about budget from the beginning and communication from both Marc and Trace was exemplary. Marc was always helpful and went above and beyond to ensure that we were happy with the job. He even tackled damp issues discovered when taking up the floor and he returned once the job was finished to fit our splash back which was delayed in its arrival. Marc was recommended to us from a colleague at work. We wanted to replace our old kitchen and utility room. Marc organised the entire project from kitchen design to installation. We had the kitchen completely ripped out with floor taken up, ceiling replaced and the walls re plastered. We are delighted with the final kitchen and utility room. Marc always arrived on time with regular communications regarding how the work was progressing and what was happening. Having the kitchen out of action for several weeks is disruptive, but Marc did everything he could to minimise the disruption and was always clearing up as he went along. Given the nature of the work, I don't think he could have done any more. We would definitely recommend Marc and would use him again.

Marc is the consummate professional. In my full house renovation, he managed the entire project, as well as completing the parts of the job that required his skills. When other tradesmen were needed, he scheduled them, and they arrived, like clockwork. Their standard of work was just as excellent as Marc's own. The whole project ran to time. Marc always kept a sharp eye on the budget and his ongoing communication with me was second to none. I have never known a builder who combines excellence not only in his trade, but in all aspects of project management and communication. Trace was every bit as professional and efficient on the administrative side. You expect such large projects to have some stresses, but Marc and Trace made my life so easy, there were no stresses at all. It was a real pleasure working with Marc and Trace. Both are total professionals who produce excellent quality in everything they do, showing care and consideration to the customer every step of the way. I could not have wished for a better builder and project manager – a true partner, who made my life easy by taking complete responsibility. I would give them 6 stars if I could!

Lacking in business courtesy
Having been recommended through Which Trusted Traders I emailed Marc Voss Property Services, through there website regarding some alterations to a small office space in May of this year. Unfortunately he/they failed to respond. In anticipation that there may have been a backlog due to the pandemic, an issue with the website, or an error by myself I sent a polite email to the enquiries@ email address (as per their contact us details on the webpage) repeating the request I’d submitted online. Unfortunately I still didn’t get a response. Not even a courtesy acknowledgement. Obviously I can’t rate any work quality or value but I can acknowledge my disappointment in the lack of Customer Service.

After Marc transformed my lounge 3 years ago, I had no hesitation in asking him to do my kitchen. It was another complex job with everything needing replacing and some unusual requests such as a new aluminium bi-fold window, real brick tiles etc. Marc organised the whole job very efficiently ensuring that everyone involved: plasterers, brickies, window fitters, plumber and electrician were available when needed and all did a brilliant job. Marc and his apprentice Adam did a great job with the painting, brick tiles, carpentry and kitchen fitting and were always cheerful, mindful of the fact that I worked from home and making sure that everything was left as tidy as possible in the evening. Marc was also happy to fix other things around the house and also made sure he came back for the finishing touches. I am delighted with the results and love my new kitchen!

Marc is a wonderful builder. I live in a bungalow and the building work involved moving the kitchen to the bedroom to provide more space and turning the old kitchen into a bedroom. The work was multifaceted Marc with his wife Trace carefully planned and executed every step of the way. The work involved a moving and installing a new boiler, new electrics, new plumbing, installation of new kitchen cupboards, integrated units, quartz work tops, flooring and kitchen island. Marc succeeded in creating my dream kitchen. He provided good advice as to what materials should be used and what would work best in the kitchen. Marc and is assistant did the majority of the work but where he had to bring specialists such as a plumber, electrician and work top fitters he ensure that they were of a high calibre. He treated the project as he was working on his own home. Marc started when he said he would start and he overran by just a few days. That was an amazing achievement since the work was carried out in Covid lockdown and delays were caused as a direct consequence of Covid. The only outstanding work was the delivery and installation of a combi microwave which was significantly delayed due to the pandemic. This has now been installed. The work was done to a very high standard and was clearly planned and co-ordinated. Marc kept me in the loop and was always very helpful. I would thoroughly recommend him and would definitively use Marc again.

We wanted to re-floor 3 inter-connecting rooms and hall in our house with engineered wood. Changes made by previous owners meant that floor levels differed slightly room to room, a potential problem for this kind of material. We had never done this sort of thing before so needed someone who could talk us through how to resolve this problem. Marc came and did a survey, understanding exactly what we wanted and suggesting how he would approach the work. He measured up, described different options for the wood, suggested suppliers and quickly sent an email estimate for the work with dates for his availability. When COVID struck, Trace was soon in touch to tell us how timing for the work would be affected. In fact, Marc and Trace were always available by phone and email for updates, something we really appreciated. The work went smoothly, all problems solved and we have exactly what we wanted. The floor throughout looks great. Attention to detail in the finishing, site cleared and cleaned, final bill as estimated, these things are important as well and you couldn't ask for more. We would have no hesitation in recommending Marc and Trace.

Our stairs had a dangerously insecure top newel post, as assessed by a Local Council survey. We approached a number of contractors; none would quote, because of the position of the post in our late-C18 building. Marc was the last tradesman to see it. He identified the problem, offered a solution that seemed to us very practicable and in keeping with the 'beamed' construction of the property, and at a surprisingly reasonable price. Because of the danger to my wife that the defect created, he was keen to do the work as soon as possible. He came specially on the Saturday before Christmas, brought a beautiful piece of 'finished' solid oak and secured it, first to the newel post and then to the beamed structure of the floor below, in a manner no-one else had thought possible. A week or so later my wife stumbled, and would certainly have fallen down the stairs if the newel post had not been strengthened by this skilled and technically-creative tradesman. Throughout, his main concern was to create speedily a safe bannister for us, even when it meant inconveniencing himself. His attitudes of concern and helpfulness are shared by his wife who assists in the admin of the company. A thoroughly delightful couple in all respects. It has been an outstanding pleasure to do business with Marc Voss Property Solutions.

Marc Voss is an excellent, multi-skilled builder. In the latter part of 2018, our challenge was to bring a dated 1930s house into the 21st century. Marc was able to help us transform this house into a modern, light space, drawing from his broad range of talents. Where expertise outside his normal remit was required, he would source those trades as necessary. His wife, Trace, with her exemplary communication and organisational skills supported him, and indeed us, throughout the entire project. They work very much as a team. We had walls opened up, RSJs inserted, damp floors dug out to considerable depth, refilled and a DPM inserted, loft hatch relocated and loft re-insulated & boarded out, walls stripped of plaster back to the brick, extensive carpentry carried out, including new doors and surrounds, kitchen and bathrooms rebuilt, laminate floor laid, etc etc. Marc was tireless and dedicated and spent some nine months with us, renovating our now lovely house. He’s a talented man.

Marc and Trace have recently completed refurnishing a bathroom in my property. From the beginning the service that Marc and Trace offered was excellent. Interior design is far from my forte and both were very patient with me as we worked together to design a functional and stunning bathroom. Marc came up with some very creative solutions to effectively use an odd sized room in an old house. The house is over 100 years old and has previously been a rental property for several decades. Existing work in the space was cheap, quickly done and to a very low quality. As the additional challenges this created cropped up Marc rectified all of them to a very high quality and with minimal delay. The finished bathroom is incredible. I didn't think that it would be possible to make such good use of the space. The ability to actually stand up in the shower and not touch all 4 walls at once has made a huge difference to my early mornings. I couldn't be happier. Marc returned promptly to rectify any outstanding niggles as they were noticed.

We needed someone we could trust as we wanted the majority of the work done whilst we were on holiday, I had known Marc from my school days and had read the reviews on his excellent previous work. He didn’t disappoint, made everything so easy answering all our questions, quick accurate quote, agreed a time to be finished so I could organise carpet, sofas etc. Then we went on holiday and left him to it....The work he completed was faultless; electrics, plastering, painting, fitted a new radiator, spotlights, skirting boards & even bricking up an old fire place and putting in a new one. Kept me informed on progress throughout and even watered our garden during the hottest week of the year. Marc’s work is top quality, but more importantly he’s a great bloke who make the whole process a pleasure. Love our new lounge couldn’t be more happier.

Marc and Trace have been sorting out lots of unfinished / substandard work created by the previous builder and we are delighted with their workmanship,customer service and approach, in fact our whole unfortunate experience is being corrected and project- managed by MVPS who are doing a splendid job. After our previous builder let us down and left our home unfinished and in a terrible state, we struggled to get another builder to visit or even discuss our problems, that was until we contacted Marc. He came out to see us ,assessed all the issues : an unfinished kitchen, unusable toilet, a dodgy roof - the list goes on. Marc considered everything fully and discussed our needs and what would work best for us. It is always very difficult for a builder to correct another's faults and we are so grateful to him and his team for everything that has been done to such a high standard of professional craftsmanship.Thanks also go to Keith ,Dave, Rob, Luke and Sean, not forgetting George. He prioritised the work ,and along with Trace, fitted us in and around his existing jobs, even turning up on Christmas Eve, to ensure we had a fully functioning toilet for Christmas ! Throughout the work we have been kept updated and consulted to reach resolutions. The workmanship and attention to detail are second to none. MVPS have treated us and our home with respect and care, cleaning up at the end of each day and informing us of what the next steps will be. A first class professional tradesman .We will certainly be using MVPS again, and have told Marc that should he want to show an example of his work than we will be quite happy to agree to this.

Marc is an experienced, professional, honest, reliable, polite and warm person. We had a lot of work done by Marc across our home, e.g. plastering, painting, plumbing, lighting, electrics, new internal doors, handles etc. The quality of his workmanship is high and he uses quality branded materials throughout. He brings in and coordinates other trades as required. He always arrives on time and does what he says he is going to do. He even went the extra mile to fix a splash back and curtain rails we had bought and fitted a window sill. He takes pride in the quality of his workmanship, offers good advice on all DIY matters and tidies up after himself at the end of every day. I am delighted with my transformed lounge and very happy with the work that Mark did from initial contact to work completion. We used Marc to fit a stud partition wall at the top of our stairs/spare room and move a door and frame. It was a tricky spot so needed careful consideration. It is always nerve wracking trying to pick someone, but Marc did not disappoint. Marc is a genuine, friendly, professional, punctual and skilled tradesmen. We felt totally comfortable leaving him alone in our home, safe in the knowledge he would be getting on with the job at hand and dealing with any issues that arose thoughtfully and with care. Marc was also incredibly tidy and cleaned up after himself at the end of each day. His quote for the work was also very reasonable and he didn't try to add any extras as he went along, even though he most likely came across some extra unexpected bits that needed doing. Marc is not like the usual tradesmen we have employed in the past. He is prompt, engaging and friendly. We had a number of questions before Marc started the job and he promptly replied to these, nothing seemed too much bother and he didn’t make you feel uneasy for asking the questions. Our house is only 13 years old, but after having previous tasks done about the house which revealed poor workmanship by the builder, we had concerns that the tasks of ripping out the old ensuite and completely replacing it would throw up similar nightmares, and it did. However, Marc calmly worked through the problems that arose and he, together with other tradesmen he employed, put things right and to an excellent standard. The workmanship is top notch and the final bill was also very reasonable. I also concur with a number of comments about his tidiness and him being happy to discuss the job and other maintenance jobs required in the house, without him pushing his own business – very refreshing to meet such a tradesman. Overall, the ensuite Marc has created for us is superb. Marc is everything you want in a tradesman. Polite, prompt, friendly, fun, no bother, skilled, knowledgeable and experienced. We had an unusual paint job requiring many colours in a hall, stair well and landing and Marc executed it superbly with very steady hands and perfect lines all round. As others have mentioned, he cleans up after himself so the rooms are left in a state ready for you to use straight away. He was also happy to discuss other elements of house maintenance in a way that was more akin to passing on knowledge to a friend, rather than trying to push his business. After initial consultations and the usual plans and pictures being shared alongside the pricing structure I employed Marc Voss to do a complete kitchen makeover. His cheerful attitude and positive approach were excellent. He began the job and worked through some of the worst weather (rain and high winds) we had in December without a grumble. His attention to detail was a bonus and also the variety of skills that he could bring to the job in hand. He organised additional professionals to deal with the electrical intricacies and also a plumber to deal with the gas, alongside a plasterer all of whom worked hard and well. He was trustworthy and also accommodated having my dogs around the place with his usual good nature. He was very conscientious and worked with me to get the job done to a high standard. I would recommend Marc to anyone looking for a very good job at a fair price.

I found Marc on Which? local traders. I needed 7 internal doors replacing and an 8th door putting on under the stairs. This is a job I wanted doing since I moved into the house 9 years ago. Despite this I left it until 4 days before two weeks holiday I had booked off work, which is when I wanted the job done. Marc came back immediately with a quote and was able to fit the job in during the first week of my holiday. The doors were fitted very quickly and to a very high standard. It was only when the new doors were fitted that I realised how badly fitted the old ones were. I now no longer have doors dragging along the carpet, latches that needed force to get them to lock into place and gaps in the door frame. I couldn't be happier with the job done. I'm glad that I have finally got the doors replaced after 9 years and very glad I chose Marc to do the job.

Marc converted our loft into a storage space for us. He installed floorboards and a light in the loft, as well a new loft opening complete with folding ladder. The problem with this job was that we have thick layers of insulation in the loft so we needed a solution to lay down floorboards without squashing the insulation. Marc did a lot of research and kept us updated at all times. He came back with a solution that suited us perfectly. Also, Marc found a good quality loft door with built-in insulation to prevent heat loss and drafts. He is professional, has a high standard of delivery, is polite, courteous and tidies up after himself. We are happy to recommend his services.

I found Marc through the Which Local website and employed him to redecorate our living room. The work included sanding and varnishing the floor boards, stripping wallpaper and repainting the walls and ceiling. We also asked for additional sockets to be installed, for which March contracted an electrician. I would recommend him on the basis of this work alone, but he went the extra mile to install a new fireplace - this was not in the original job schedule and was an ad-hoc decision, but Marc just went ahead and did a phantastic job. He even came over the weekend to finish work on the fireplace. I'm very impressed with the quality of his workmanship and his flexibility in accommodating additonal work. I have no hesitation in using his service again and can highly recommend him.

Mark came to decorate the exterior of my house, which had wood that needed replacing as I had been let down the previous year. He repaired rotten wood and decorated the windows, and I have to say my windows are quite large and awkward to decorate. He and his colleague did the job well and my windows appear to be safe and sound for another few years, so I have been recommending him to neighbours. I would definitely ask him back next time.

Marc has just finished another project for for me to his usual high standard. There doesn't seem to be any aspect of renovation beyond him! The job included tiling, roof repairs, chimney blocking, plastering, finding old wood to repair original Victorian floorboards as well as painting and decorating of the top 2 floors of the house. I am so happy with the kitchen. To be honest, I was dreading it as I knew it was going to be disruptive. It needed to be done as it was very old, difficult to keep clean and very ugly (not me, the kitchen!). I am so glad the whole thing came together seamlessly and without fuss. I work from home sometimes and Marc was considerate enough to stop the noisy work when I was on the phone. I didnÍt have to worry about finding a plasterer, an electrician, a plumber or anybody else as he sorted all that. I wanted something that looked good but I didnÍt to spend top prices, so from the design stage, Marc had his work cut out. I changed my mind so many times, my husband refused to talk about it, so Marc had to advise me through numerous texts and e-mails. I finally chose the design and a date to get it done. The result is brilliant! I love it. He advised me on the paint colour (great choice!), pointed me in the right direction for the type of flooring (again great choice). Yes, I still asked for a few things to be added and others to be removed when it was nearly finished and he did it without complaining and I am so grateful for this (examples are that he sorted out a TV shelf and painted it to match the wall colour and returned (and got a refund for) the breakfast bar when I decided I didnÍt want it). The final touches were well worth it, he sets himself very high standards. The kitchen is stunning and was spotlessly clean when he finished with it. It isnÍt the first time I used MVPS for work in the house and I am so pleased to have found him.

We found Marc via an internet search for carpenters in the Leicestershire area. We were impressed and reassured by his Which? award and made contact. Initially, Marc carried out some simple external repairs and we quickly found him to be punctual, polite and reliable. He was fast, efficient and familiar with the latest repair techniques, which saved us money in comparison to other quotes weÍd had. We subsequently asked him to carry out more major work inside our house and Marc advised us on the best materials and approaches required to get the final results we were after. The tasks included laying laminate flooring that runs from the front to the back door and into the downstairs WC too _ a relatively large area with some difficult details to tackle _ all carried out to a high standard. He even ventured through heavy snow during the work to ensure it was completed on time! We are particularly pleased with the door he created from scratch to close off the storage space under the stairs. He suggested a ïhiddenÍ door and the execution really is faultless. Once weÍve completed the decorating, weÍll be happy to share pictures of the finished hallway for use by Which? Local and on MarcÍs website.

We had Marc fit 11 internal light oak doors of various sizes, having found him through Which? Local. We were pleased that he was able to fit us into his schedule earlier than we feared, he came on time and worked long hours every day. He went to a lot of trouble on our behalf to obtain the doors locally at internet-dealer prices and checked them before taking delivery. He worked very quickly and took a great pride in doing a good job with considerable attention to detail and, in the end, gave us exactly what we were looking for. I contacted Marc after consulting Which Local and am so pleased I did. He has managed to fit in decorating our hall, stairs and landing and downstairs rooms quickly and efficiently. He arrives when he says, and has done a great job, causing minimal disruption and leaving everywhere spick and span when he leaves each evening. After rescuing our utility room, Marc has just finished sorting out the bathroom. As usual he wasn't happy until it was perfect even when he realised he had to work harder and longer days to sort out the mess he found after he removed the old tiles, bath and carpet. Marc refitted our botched up kitchen, fitted new worktops fitted new kitchen door, repainted the whole of our large kitchen, lined and paper are hall and stairs landing, stripped back and tiled the floor and walls of our bathroom, painted all bedroom doors and plastered, papered and painted our bedroom. The work was first class no complaints at all, would use again and again if needed. What great work and a top bloke, professional and consistent would recommend him with confidence. Price is good as i believe in you get what you pay for nowadays. He has a colleague who is an electrician called Matt he is also first class and would recommend him as well if needed.

I also found Marc on Which Local and can say he is one of the best guys we have had in to do work. He was quick to give a quote and managed to squeeze us in with his other jobs while we were off work. Marc just finished our up-to-now much neglected spare bedroom. He arranged for extra sockets to be fitted and for the ceiling to be plastered, removed the old wallpaper and painted the ceiling, walls, woodwork and built-in wardrobe doors. I must admit I didn't realise how much prep work would be required and I am sure it would have been very easy for somebody less professional to cut many corners without me realising it. The finish is a lot better than any other jobs I have had done around the house up to now. I found Marc to be courteous, friendly, punctual and as I worked from home during the works, mindful of disturbing me. Like the other reviewers, I have already booked Marc to refurb the utility room and intend to get him back to refurbish the bathroom and sort out the hallway. My only complaint is that he didnÍt have time to eat the biscuits I left for him and my husband said he had to finish them off before they went soggy! As if they could have lasted that long!
