About

We are a small but efficient family run Buisness . We were established in 1992 and now have four vans . We have three electricians including myself. We are assisted by our two electricians mates . The office side of things are carried out by my partner and wife Nicky (the boss)
We specialise in house rewiring , LED lighting security lighting and all small jobs such as a new light fittings, kitchen electrics bathroom electrics .
We also install intruder / burglar alarms in domestic properties .
I carried out a five year apprenticeship with Rouch Penny and Rice in (1977---1983) when they were one of the oldest electrical company's in Bristol
I then worked for various company's in bath and Bristol before starting my own company in 1992

I was very impressed with everyone at Marks Electrical, they are very professional in all aspects. Clean and tidy and are very reasonably priced. I found them very helpful in talking me through the process of doing a full rewire and gave me some good advice for fitting various lighting and alarms which they fitted. I was recommended Marks Electrical by a family member and would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a good Electrical company.

We had no power in our house at all on the coldest day of the year - Mark's team responded within a couple of hours, made the repairs and completed a full inspection to put our minds at ease. They were going to do whatever they could to make sure we would had our power back on that day. Top service and a very reasonable fee for the speed of call out and repair.

Had a problem with our oven which appliance repair traced to the power supply. Saw ad for Mark in a local publication and called for advice. Message left which was responded to by Nicky very soon after. She was able to arrange for someone to come a few days later. There was no sticking point for it being a very small job. Danny was very easy going but professional, felt quite comfortable having him in the house, the job was done quickly, and efficiently with little disruption. He had to go get a piece of hardware as he didnt have one with him, but he was quick to return and carry on with replacing the wiring and sockets that were the problem. And the work was left clean and tidy area. he was joined by his apprentice Jake (?) After he finished his college morning and both guys were polite and considerate. Price wasnt agreed before hand because of not being totally sure of the problem but felt it wasnt unreasonable Having contacted Mark Evans quite randomly, I will definitely be keeping their number for the future because of their positive response to a very small job. Thankyou guys.

I am very happy with the work carried out for me by the above business. They replaced a broken extractor fan in a bathroom and carried out the work without fuss and in a very professional manner. They pointed out that the previous extractor fan had not been ducted to the exterior and I agreed to have it corrected. The two employees were polite and worked efficiently. The whole work was perfect and they cleaned up spotlessly afterwards. The bathroom was left as clean as they had found it - no dust or debris left behind. I was shown how to use the new fan and they left an Instruction leaflet with me for future reference. I would thoroughly recommend them .

Great experience using these guys for our full house rewire. Mark was really good when he came around to look at the work, he offered advice and suggestions of what we needed to do. Danny and George were excellent, kept us informed of what was going on (we weren't there when they were working), came up with good suggestions on where to place light fittings and switches etc. and when they left each day cleared everything up. The work is really tidy and we were pleased that none of the skirting boards or picture rails were damaged by the wall chasing. Would happily use them again and can recommend them. Price was also competitive against other quotes we had.

Mark's team did an excellent job rewiring this whole house. They left everything in very good order at the time. Writing the review some years later as there is another very good thing to say about Mark: I couldn't find the certificate, needed for selling the house, and he found it and sent within a few days. This also shows how well organised he is! Thanks Mark.

I can't recommend this company enough. From start to finish they were extremely professional. Mark came to quote us for the work and walked us through the whole process explaining where would be best to add sockets if we wanted them. We secured a date for the work to start. They were there on time every single day without fail. They are very knowledgeable and answered all the questions we had. I was dreading the mess from the rewire but the lads went above and beyond with keeping everything as tidy as possible using big extractor fans whilst chasing the walls and also moving furniture from room to room when needed. They were always available to call when I needed an update on how work was going or if a decision needed to be made. Work was completed within the time frame given when quoted including extra work which needed doing. Communication with the office was also brilliant. There was never a time when I was unsure what was happening. Overall ten out of ten, I will not only recommend them to friends and family but will also be using them again for future work.

We were newbies to Victorian house renovation and quickly realised a full rewire was required. Sort 3 quote. 1 guy never turned up, 1 guy tools ages to confirm, then quote, before stopping even replying to us. But from the initial enquiry Mark & Nicky were spot on. Turned up when agreed and on time to survey the house. Simple easy quote to follow and understanding- no hidden extras or ambiguity. After a few little changes to the scope by us, we agreed to let Mark and team crack on. Due to COVID restrictions, we decided to let Mark have a key and we moved out. This was not only safer for all parties, but quicker. We did come and go at the weekend and 1 evening, but on our visit the house was spotless always left clean and tidy during work in progress. Once finished we checked the work and all was in order. During the rewire Mark also took the time to point out a couple of other building issues he noted and even offer DIY solutions to help us solve them. Also the whole communication during the progress was excellent whether by phone or email. Always got an answer or quick reply. Due to kitchen refit there were a few items left pending, which now the kitchen is finished Mark is back to finish off. With the same professionalism and efficiency as from the start. Highly recommended. 5 Star.

Complete rewire of Victorian terrace house in Bath

Mark and his team were great to work with in every respect. They have considerable experience of working with older Bath houses, and Mark gave sound advice throughout. Having agreed a start date for the works to begin: 8.30am on 4th January, the doorbell rang at 8.29am, and we were off. Throughout the process, communications were excellent. We were staying in rented accommodation during the rewire, and were kept posted, with the occasional request for a decision over particular options. Works were completed on time, within the original deadline. In addition, Mark is linked to a good network of other builders, plasterers etc. - very useful if you are moving to Bath without contacts. Highly recommended.
