Led by Mark Newell - who is fully qualified in his profession, having a National Diploma in Tree Management & Arboriculture – the business has much experience having carried out work for many private customers; large building companies; general gardeners; landscape gardeners; estate agents; property management companies; chartered surveyors and corporate businesses. Mark is very experienced in all aspects of arboriculture and is keen to keep the business up to date with all technological and innovative advancements in the profession, having close links with the local Arboricultural College.

This is the fifth time I have used Mark Newell Tree Care and that in itself is testament to how reliably good he is. He is very experienced: we are in a conservation area and he takes care of all the permissions and paperwork etc. He is also very clear about costs and schedules. The only downside is that he’s so good he’s really in demand, so lead times can be many months. He’s worth the wait though! Highly recommended.

Mark and his team did a superb job at our house. Mark was recommended to us by Cedarwood Landscapes to raise some tree canopies and remove a dead tree to facilitate garden works. Mark took care of everything from applying for conservation permission to work on the trees, to carrying out the work over two days and to tidying everything. The trees look great and the garden was left spotless. Thank you.

Excellent advice and work. When visiting to quote for the task, Mark gave me clear advice on what was possible, the growth rates and habits of the trees and shrubs and how they might be affected. Excellent job - reducing and shaping a mature silver birch and a large yew. We are very pleased with the work, including leaving the garden tidy. Great three-man teamwork between them. And after a day's work, the logs for firewood were left stacked neatly where I asked, cut to size. Notable also is Mark's office backup team, from the first enquiry, keeping us informed at each stage about the work date, times, etc. From our experience across many companies, this is a refreshing change and should be a model for others.

Mark Newell and his team came and pruned a large amount of hedging and trees in my garden and were very professional in all they did, they carried out all the work according to the quotation and also some extra that that I asked them to do. They did an extremely good job. When they had finished they did an excellent job clearing up all the small debris, leaves etc - you would not know that they had been!

We have used Mark Newell Tree Care Ltd several times and have always found them to be very experienced, extremely good and professional and most courteous. We are very pleased with their recent work of reducing the canopy and improving the shape of a mature Lime Tree. They are meticulous in observing safety during their work. Mark Newell and his colleagues removed a considerable amount of dead wood from a very old lilac tree and shaped the remaining branches. What was an ugly sprawling tree now has a very pleasing look. They also carried out expert pruning of other trees and bushes in my garden. On completion of the work, the garden was thoroughly tidied. I could not be more pleased.

Mark and his team recently removed three conifers from my back garden. Mark was very prompt in giving a quote for the work, including explaining the work and the timescales required. Mark and his team carried out an excellent job. We needed a cedar tree removed and replaced with a new smaller tree. His advice on what to replant was very useful. The rest of the garden trees and shrubs look much better after their pruning.

There was a long lead time between quote and work being done, but I knew that and was prepared to wait. The job was to remove a dead magnolia tree from up against our neighbour's house, so wanted to be sure it was all done properly, with no risk of damaging the property. Mark and colleague arrived promptly and the tree came down in stages with no drama. They also trimmed a number of other trees and shrubs that were overgrown. This was all done as agreed and the garden looks a lot tidier now. All the cut pieces were chipped and taken away, leaving no mess. Very pleasant people to deal with. Really great job and highly recommended.
