Ashley did a great job of removing old Pebble Dash from the rear of my property, a typical London victorian terrace, and then applying a silicon render across the rear of the property. He gave me a detailed quote in advance, and stuck to the agreed budget and timetable (weather permitting). Ashley and his assistant were always professional, turned up as they said they would, and got on with the job in hand. If I had any concerns, Ashley was able to discuss the project and put my mind at ease. It was approximately a 2 to 3 week project. The team focussed on the job and produced an outstanding finish to the outside of the house. Super pleased with the result, which has now been in place for over 6 months and looks as good today as when it was done. I would not hesitate to use Ashley again, and I would certainly recommend his service.

Ashley started work for us during the heatwave in mid-July. I was expecting him to postpone the work, as it was 40oC, but he still turned up punctually and completed it on time, always smiling and positive and never once complained about the heat. He had to plaster/skim the whole of my dining room and kitchen extension, which were in a poor state. He was very professional and kept the areas he worked tidy and clean. It was interesting to watch him work on stilts when plastering the high ceiling in the extension. He worked to a high standard and I now have silky smooth plastered ceilings and walls. It has completely transformed my tired and cracked dining room and extension to a beautiful space. He is competitively priced and reliable. Ash did some plastering work on 2 walls and ceiling indoors, and silicone wall render on the front of our house. The exterior render was done because a previous builder let us down and didn't return my calls anymore (KDA plastering). Ash was very professional and turned up on time and finished the job within quoted time as well. The end result was great and Ash is a really nice bloke to deal with. Ashley skimmed our living room, office and parts of the bathroom and kitchen. This also involved some more difficult work replacing parts of the ceiling and strengthening the walls. I needed my ceilings replaced following a water leak. Ash made time to quickly come and have a look to quote and provided me with available dates. Not only he is a real professional (not only in his work but also his paperwork), easy-going and with an eye for detail, he is so tidy and left everything so clean, I would not have noticed he had been in should I not have seen him come in! He went over the plastering and finishing it to such a degree that I could just paint it over without the need of any sanding. I have already recommended him to my friends. After trying to put up plasterboard to the ceiling in my living room myself the whole thing looked like a complete pig's ear. After talking to quite a few guys who came by and then ghosted me on the phone and emails, Ashley was the first person to come in, have a look around and put a date in the diary then and there. Not only that, but he did a great job at a great price. The ceilings and walls that looked like I'd taken a hammer to them are now perfect. He even leveled a wall that was at a completely odd angle. I had thought that someone with so many 5 star reviews across the board was too good to be true, but I'm happy to be proven wrong! We'll definitely be getting him back to sort out the dining room.

Ashley plastered over the textured ceilings in my flat and the workmanship is superb. He has covered over old textured ceilings that had visible join lines down them with smooth plaster, and clean edges. The work was completed ahead of schedule and to budget and the cost was very reasonable. Ashley made an excellent first impression as his approach was professional from the start (and throughout) when he came to measure up for the quote which he sent to me shortly after, on a letterhead pdf that detailed the work he would carry out. I'm so pleased to recommend Ashley Markham. He is friendly, polite, punctual and great craftsman. He has just replastered a toilet and lobby for us. It was fiddly job as some areas were bare brickwork which required rendering with cement before the plaster could be applied, plus ceilings and four doorways to work around. He is clean and tidy workman who didn't leave any mess and took his rubbish away. The finished job is excellent and good value for money. He also skimmed a box room for our neighbours who are equally delighted with the cost and standard of Ashley's workmanship.

Ashley has done a great job replacing the plasterboard ceiling of our kitchen, as well as skimming a number of walls including up a tricky staircase. He worked to the schedule, kept everything as clean as possible and the end result looks great. Ashley's a star! He's polite, attentive and tidy - and we're delighted with his work. The hallway walls of our 1930s-built flat were pretty beaten-up and in desperate need of replastering. After finding him on Which? Trusted Traders, Ashley was easy to get hold of and was happy to come and take a look at our hallway to quote for the work. He provided us with a very reasonable, itemised quote, which is exactly what he invoiced us for. His communication was good, and we appreciated him explaining the stages of the work. Following a cancellation, Ashley was able to fit us in a week earlier than planned, which worked well for us. He turned up on time and worked for a solid eight hours, pausing only for a couple of short breaks and to allow the plaster to dry. He was happy to accommodate a spot of plastering in our lounge, where the weight of a wall-mounted heater had split a section of plasterboard. And when the work was complete, he carefully cleaned up after himself. Ashley skilfully applied layers of plaster, lining up to angle beads to create lovely sharp corners. The result is a beautifully smooth and even finish with a porcelain-like feel. A couple of painters who have since come to quote for decorating have commented on the quality of Ashley's plastering - very reassuring! Ashley did a fantastic job, and we would definitely recommend his services.

Ashley did an excellent job of rendering the rear elevation of the property. He took the existing render off back to brick, made good with sand and cement, applied an undercoat and mesh and then a final finish coat of monocouche render in chalk white. I had not considered monocouche render which Ashley recommended since it will not need painting and has a very nice finish to it. He was as tidy as one can be when removing existing render since it required some serious knocking off. He was punctual, informative and very professional. I got him back recently to plaster an internal wall that had blown due to water ingress (actually because the original render was compromised, which Ashley has hopefully fixed). Again, he was punctual and did an outstanding job of making good a wall that was a mess. I would thoroughly recommend Ashley for anyone that wants any form of rendering or plastering done on their property.

Ashley was prompt and competitive with his quote. He plastered a porchway which was quite tricky as he had to run the plaster down to a tiled floor and across to an uneven bare brick wall. He also skimmed up to the front door frame. I thought I’d need a skirting board and to replace beading to get a neat edge but Ashley’s work was so neat I can just paint over the plaster. He also did some external render repair adding extra waterproofing and cement to the mix when I explained problems we’d had previously. Everything looks very neat and tidy and we are very pleased . On top of that Ashley is obviously a decent genuine bloke- not essential but a bonus after a number of recent experiences with other tradesmen we have had recently.
