This is the second occasion we have had work carried out by this company. After being so pleased with our first encounter, when we needed more work to be done on our house, they were definitely our first choice. They are so organised about the quote, schedule of work and communication which we really like. The people who did the actual work are professional and polite and very skilled at what they do. We have no hesitation in recommending the company.

Martin provided a full, detailed and competitive quote for all the work required on my chimney. When the work began I was given good notification of arrival times and what to expect. All the team involved were professional, courteous and considerate to us and our neighbours. The work was carried out to a high standard and any questions or concerns about the work were explained in full and dealt with. Overall they were a pleasure to have at our home and I would have no hesitation in recommending Martin and his team.

Martin was one of 3 companies to visit to make recommendation on repairs to my 1930's semi. He was very knowledgeable and clearly advised on his recommendations for the repair work, including removing a section of render, inserting brick ties and reinforcement mesh and rendering. The quality of the repair is excellent and the new render matches in very well to the existing. The team were very clean and tidy in their work and answered any questions I had. The price was also very competitive. Would definitely use again.

We engaged this company to conduct work on our 1930s semi-detached house. We needed the original render to be removed as it was in very poor condition. Replacement render would then need to be applied. Martin responded promptly to our initial enquiry and visited our home to advise us. We were very impressed with his knowledge and his recommendations. We were provided with a quote for the work, which we promptly accepted. Martin then contacted us very soon afterwards with the date for commencement and the expected duration of the work. The team turned up promptly every day, and we were very impressed with their professional demeanour and their hard work. The final outcome exceeded our expectations, and it looks great. We employed Direct Maintenance to paint and carry out various repairs to the outside of the house. I found this company through the Which? Trusted Traders site, and received a prompt reply to my initial email enquiry. Following Martin's visit to my house everything ran very smoothly and rapidly. Work was carried out to a high standard and within the projected time frame. The paperwork was thorough and billing efficient.

Martin and his team were nothing short of excellent they arrived on time, and left the job in a tidy condition on completion. This entailed removing old rendering and re-rendering the same. The job was completed in two weeks and cleaned up every day and left tidy.🤗 The scaffolders place the scaffold as needed and removed it soon after the job was complete.🤗 We would certainly have them again and would also recommend them to others.

We’d been struggling to find a trader prepared to add a pigs-ear style stair rail to our loft and tidy up a door frame. Direct Maintenance Contractors agreed to do it and completed the work beautifully for us. They were also very friendly and left the house spotlessly clean. I’d definitely recommend them.

Direct Maintenance came recommended and I have no hesitation recommending their services now I’ve experienced them firsthand. Martin was reliable from the point of contact, turning up as arranged and providing a prompt and agreeable quote for external rendering works to a Victorian terraced property. Once Martin and his team commenced the job they uncovered a bigger repair job than anticipated. All repair work was carried out to ensure the stonework and lintels were structurally sound prior to rendering. Martin kept me updated with progress throughout as the job did take longer than thought. The rendering and external decoration was carried out to a very high standard leaving an excellent finish. The job took two months in total and I can say all of the team including Tommy, Mike, Matt, Millie and Joe were a pleasure to have around. They all worked to a high standard taking great care. They liaised well with neighbours which was appreciated as the work affected both sides with it being a terraced property. I have no doubt that I’ll be using Martin and his team again for future works.

Martin turned up as arranged to give an estimate for painting the external render of our block of flats. Estimate was quickly received and accepted. Mathew, his painter, arrived at the agreed time and worked diligently to complete the task. Mathew was a very pleasant young man and his work was faultless and tidy.

Martin and his team were fantastic. They were prompt in providing a quote and the work was carried out in a quick, timely manner but nothing was rushed and all the work was done to an excellent standard. We were on holiday at the time, but he kept us informed as well as my mum who was checking in every now and then. We also wanted some extra work doing in the hall which we decided last minute and they were more than happy to help and it didn't delay the process at all. Martin and his team provided excellent and friendly service - from diagnosing the cause of a long running water ingress problem to quotation and then delivery - new lead flashing and re-rendering of one side of the house. Staff we very friendly and the work is of excellent quality.

DMC repointed a chimney stack. They were prompt in providing a quotation and were able to start the work reasonably quickly. I was kept well informed about progress and the work was completed efficiently and on budget. Only time (and winter weather) will show whether the repointing resolves the damp penetration problem but I have confidence in the quality of their work.

Martin and his team carried out various home maintenance work for us including roof tile replacements, render repairs, gulley benching repair, kitchen tile floor repair, rejuvenated our hardwood draining board and painting several rooms, all to a very high standard. Throughout the process from quote to completion we were kept informed at all stages, and we are extremely pleased with the work done by Martin, Tom, Michael and Millie. They arrived promptly each day and tidied up at the end. We would have no hesitation in recommending DMC and would happily use them again.

Martin and his team helped us replace a derelict Victorian lean-to with a new extension. They carried out demolition of the collapsing lean-to, and built a new flat-roof extension that included French windows, a bathroom, and an area for our washing machine and tumble dryer. They were professional, knowledgeable, clean, and open, with good communication throughout the works, delivering a high quality build.

We needed a lintel replacing in the center of our home due to excessive deflection. Martin and his team were able to carry out the work quickly, cleanly and with minimal disruption for such a big job. Scaffold was erected, the ceilings were lifted and everything was handled with extreme care. While things were quick, nothing was rushed. We are extremely happty with the results and would use Direct Maintenance Contractors again happily (and indeed, we already have).

I engaged DMC to update my lounge. Right from the onset Martin was helpful and friendly explaining clearly what needed to be done to achieve the result I was seeking. The costings were clear and the work was done to a high standard and everything was left tidy. One important consideration for me was that Martin and his workers were dog friendly and were careful when they needed to access the outside tap to always close the side gate. Given by the number of cases of missing dogs where they disappeared when builders left the gates open, this was a very important plus for me.

I contacted Martin a few months ago regarding having the attic boarded out. He came, assessed the job and issued an estimate of the cost. I was then contacted at a later date with a commencement date. This started on 3rd Jan 2024. Tom and Michael ( aka "Tom and Jerry") were the tradesmen, accompanied at a later date by their female apprentice Millie. What can you say? Their workmanship exemplary, very friendly, worked full days, tidied up after themselves, and the result a marvellous boarded out attic along with a fitted wooden step ladder. I would thoroughly recommend this company. I'm sure that I will be calling upon this company for any future work at my property Total A TEAM!!
