My parents house had been neglected for many years. I asked Dave McMahon to initially quote for a flat roof replacement on the utility area. We agreed the quote which I would say was mid-range based on 2 other quotes. I chose Dave's quote as he was totally upfront about everything, there was no pressure and he appeared very knowledgeable. Whilst he was working on this roof I asked him to check a few things I was concerned with on the main roof of the house as I could see daylight whilst in the loft! The result involved a complete new membrane, laths and tiles. Again there was no pressure to have it done but we decided as it was over 60 years old it was a sensible thing to have done. I also suggested new loft insulation to meet current standards and to board the loft floor. A velux window was also suggested. It was a big job but Dave and his team did a fantastic job. They arrived promptly every day and got straight down to work with few if any breaks. They were always happy to explain things to me and answer my questions and were friendly and considerate. At the end of each day they would leave the area tidy and safe. The standard of work was excellent with applicable certification provided on completion. The overall cost was very reasonable. I have no hesitation in recommending McMahon Roofing and Cladding.

David fixed some ridge tiles on the roof of our new old victorian terrace which had decayed, also added some vents and replaced some damaged tiles. He and assistant arrived on time, finished within half a day and also addressed some other concerns we had with a flat roof and chimney that we'll have him back for in the future. Obviously takes some pride in his work. Friendly, communicative and competitively priced.

Phoned midday on 3/6/25 to discuss repairing my gutters. Didn't start well when he answer the phone with "Hello?" instead of his business name, always a warning flag for me when you have to ask if you have the right number to start with. I explained what issues I had and that I got his details from Which? but he seemed totally disinterested and wrapped up in doing whatever he was doing on his computer rather than talk to me. Finally, he asked me to send an email with photos and details of the issues, which I did that afternoon. Ten days later and had no reply. My personal feeling is that if they're not interested in you from the start, they're certainly not going to be interested in you if their work doesn't stand up. Pretty poor way to run a business and certainly not one worthy of being a Which? trusted trader.

I recently contacted McMahon Roofing by email as I needed a slate replacing on the roof and two guttering junctions sealed. Although it was for a small job I received a response the very same day and a visit the next day from David. After viewing the work David quoted a very reasonable price for the job. The work was completed shortly afterwards in a friendly, professional and efficient manner. I am very satisfied. It was a pleasure to meet David and one of his team who were prepared to take on the small jobs as well as the large. I would not hesitate to recommend David and McMahon Roofing.

I can highly recommend this company. Dave was brilliant in terms of identifying the problems with our roofing and gutter. All the work was carried out professionally and promptly and I cannot speak highly enough of the dedication of both Dave and Ethan. Other issues were identified as the job progressed, but nothing was too much trouble and no extra charge was added. We have had a few companies coming to look at the roof and having a go at fixing it, but Dave and Ethan have been, by far, the most effective and efficient. Great job and thank you both

McMahon attended property, he said he will provide a quote and would be able to complete the work following week. However, did not hear back from him. No quote. No further message. Very disappointed in level of service.

Done on agreed schedule (weather permitting) and budget. Macmahon was efficient, professional, courteous, and tidy. Seems to have done a proper job. Looking forward to working with him again. Priced fairly.

Had an issue with the ridge of my roof. Team came to see me the same day as my enquiry to look at the work needed and provided a very competitive quote. They returned the following week to undertake the work. All done to my satisfaction and the team kept me informed of the progress throughout the morning of the work. Very pleased with the whole process and would definitely recommend to others as well as use again myself for future works.

Replaced flat roof covering and boarding to garage. They came when they said they would and the works were carried out to a high standard within the time estimate given. Courteous throughout. I would recommend this company.
