Yoda gave our monster hedge its annual haircut with great skill and efficiency. No fuss, no bother, good communication. Not much more to say. Highly recommended.

Yoda is brilliant. Did a great job with pruning my apple tree a magnolia and some hedges. wonderful service by wonderful people. I think the only minor issue I had was some scheduling conflicts but he's done a lovely job today so I don't mind.

Yoda Reeves [Meadowside Tree Care] has pruned our two apple trees annually for the last 4 years, as well as trimming hedges round the property, and putting us in his diary for the next year. This has resulted in good growth and good harvesting of apples later in the year. One year he also did a tricky job of extricating a pyrocantha bush from an overgrown area. This January, as usual he efficiently trimmed the two trees, and fed all the debris into his machine, leaving the garden tidy.. We are happy to pay his charges for the expertise, advice and helpfulness he aways gives the work.

I’ve contacted Meadowside Tree Care for a quotation for tree maintenance. Yoda replied straight away, he came over, inspected the area and provided very good professional advice and quote for the job. When the day came, both Yoda and his business partner arrived on time, got the job done very effectively. All the mess and rubbish was cleared without even asking. Meadowside Tree Care is definitely guys for you if you need to maintain the trees, cut them or look after the hedges. All will be done with a smile, professionalism and care.

Yoda and his assistant turned up early (after checking that it was convenient for me). They removed several dead branches from a large tree in our garden. The work was done quickly and efficiently and they cleared up well afterwards. Yoda and his associate were friendly and considerate and they cleared up the resulting debris fully. Cannot fault Meadowside tree services. They quoted a competitive price for the removal of a few wayward leylandi in our garden that were really getting out of hand and towering over the house! Yoda and Rupert were prompt and efficient, removing all waste from site, and they were also really friendly people to deal with. Unfortunately there was an issue with the chainsaw (and unluckily also the back-up chainsaw!) in the very final hour of work. These things happen, but Yoda would not leave a part-finished job, so he and Steph kindly gave up their Saturday morning the very next day to come back and finish up. Highly recommend, and we'll definitely be using them again! :)

Meadowside have now carried out work for me on a number of occasions (including pollarding, hedge and tree trimming) and I have always found Yoda and his team to be first class in every respect. Arriving punctually, completing the tasks efficiently, with a minimum of fuss to a very high standard, they always ensure that all debris and trimmings are removed and the garden left in a tidy state. I would have no hesitation in recommending Meadowside to anyone considering tree or garden work.

Firstly, I’m sorry to be writing this. I met Yoda on 17/02/23 when he was working two doors away felling a tree and asked if he would mind looking at the large hedge in my garden with a view to trimming and shaping it. Yoda kindly gave me a verbal quote and warned that there would be a wait as it was a busy time and also to send an email to Meadowside reiterating our conversation. I duly did and heard nothing. I wrote another email 05/03/23. Again, nothing. I really don’t mind that they don’t want the work (and it has since been done), but how long does it take to drop off a courtesy one sentence email explaining they haven’t time for the work? Call me old-fashioned but it’s rude!

From the moment I initially made contact Yoda was extremely good at communicating He came to do a visit very promptly and was clearly extremely knowledgeable about what needed doing in my garden He communicated well prior to the day and did the work in an extremely efficient and unobtrusive way with no inconvenience to me at all He and his colleague tidied away absolutely everything. I felt the price was extremely reasonable too I can recommend their work highly

This is the first time I have used Yoda's company but it will not be the last. He was punctual for both the quote and on doing the work (with Steph). A really pleasant and efficient team who did an excellent job for a very reasonable price. It is good to know there are still people who take pride in their work and do not try to charge ridiculous prices. I can't recommend Yoda highly enough.

This is the third occasion that I have used Meadowside Tree Care and I have been very satisfied with the work that has been carried out. Mr Reeves was punctual, completed the work in accordance with the agreed specification and left the site clean and tidy. In addition, he provided advice on the general health of the tree and what future works may be needed.

This is the second time I've used Meadowside Tree care having found them in a search of local tree surgeons. After a review of their site and customer reviews I reached out for a quote for hedge trimming, hazelnut, apple tree and a Field Maple tree prunning so by no means a quick job. Yoda soon got in touch to provide a quote and I found him extremely knowledgeable and down to earth so felt more than happy placing my garden in his care. His quotation came back as very reasonable which sealed the deal. Splitting the job across two days (the first delayed due to sickness but we quickly rescheduled) on both days Yoda arrived promptly and worked diligently. I was surprised at how tidy he left our garden and drive after he was complete even removing extra fallen leaves for us off of the drive (which was a lot!) Both times I was extremely happy with the result and would happily use them again.

Meadowside Tree Care completed an excellent job on the large hedge that runs along two sides of the property. Taking out the excess growth from the top and trimming the sides back. All of the cuttings / trimmings were cleared up and taken away.

Yoda and his colleague Ben arrived on time and swiftly and efficiently set about cutting down the large dying apple tree in our back garden. They both had very friendly engaging characters and to our amazement had completed the task in just over a couple of hours. All timber and rubbish was swiftly removed leaving the area very clean. They then proceeded to remove a couple of Hawthorn trees from our front garden and again were most amazed at the speed in which the work was carried and the area left very clean. Yoda had to cancel the date for the work to be done on a couple of occasions, but again telephoned us to ensure that we were aware of his issues. The price for his work was very reasonable and I would certainly highly recommend him to anyone requiring a totally reliable, skilled skilled tradesman.

Yoda and colleague have done a superb job trimming our leylandii hedges (which are pretty extensive). They now look absolutely immaculate. Always takes great care to do the 'right thing' for the long term health of the tree, as well as applying a lot of skill to get a good look. Thoroughly clears up after the work is done. Great source of advice and information on everything to do with trees!

Meadowside Tree Care are justifiably busy and cannot be immune to staff sickness, so it took a little over three months for the work to take place after the initial visit. The team of three arrived on time, and rapidly got stuck into reducing the height and levelling the top and front of a tall leylandii 'boundary hedge' about 5-6m high and about 12m wide, a beech hedge, and assorted small trees and bushes in both the rear and front gardens. A couple of requests to trim a specific tree or bush further were carried out cheerfully. The resulting trimmings were removed and everywhere was left tidy. It was a real pleasure to have the team on-site, and I would unhesitatingly recommend this firm to those who want a good job done professionally, rapidly, enthusiastically and pleasantly. They know what they are doing, perform the job efficiently, and exceed expectations.

We contacted Meadowside Tree Care to quote for reducing the height and depth of an overgrown laurel hedge, and for removing a dead lilac tree. Although Yoda was booked up for some time, he was able to provide a quote and fit in the work around his other jobs - getting it done a few weeks ahead of originally planned. We weren’t around when he did the work but when we returned home, we found the work had been done exactly as we’d discussed, and the area had been tidied. We’d definitely recommend Meadowside Tree Care to others and will contact them for any further work should we need it.

I had a large old apple tree that was going rotten and starting to look in danger of splitting in two, also 4 problematic ash trees that also needed dealing with/removing. Also my neighbour had a large Sycamore growing next to our fence which we both of agreed needed to be removed. Yoda was punctual for an initial appraisal, was very friendly and offered sound advice on how to proceed. His estimate was very professionally drawn up and was very good value for money. Although Yoda and his team couldn't turn up on the first agreed date due to illness, he gave me ample advance notice, proposing a new and acceptable date/time for which he was again was very punctual. His team were friendly and efficient, and performed all of the work with the minimum of fuss and did a great job of clearing up after them. I would have no problem in recommending them for for anybody who needs similar tree work in their gardens.

We have used several tree companies over the 30 years that we have been in Cheltenham and based on the recent service from Meadowside, we shall choose to use them on the next occasion. The task was to prune 2 large yew trees and a magnolia. At the first appointment, advice was given, an estimate provided and a second date agreed for the work to be done. Throughout the pruning, we were encouraged to express an opinion on the work. All the debris was removed. In summary, I would rate this company highly on all the important aspects of such work ~ organisation, time-keeping, communication and professionalism.

Yoda and his team visited us on 3 separate dates in Nov, to do a string of big tree and shrub reduction jobs in our bigish garden. They are excellent value for money. Three came on each day, worked v well, nice chaps, all done as I wanted. They verbally quoted the fixed price for a day's work, which I accepted - so no price creeps upwards during each day. Friends suggested them, and are continuing to use them. Would not hesitate to ask them again if needed. Among the best workers, we have employed over many years.

I had a huge, overgrown privet hedge that needed to be reduced and had received two or three ridiculously high quotes, I think traders were trying to take advantage of an older woman on her own. I saw Meadowside's advert in the Hill & Hatherley Pages and thought I would give them a try, what a difference from start to finish ! The lady I first spoke to was friendly and helpful and when Yoda came to look at the job he was quite charming so I also asked him about a few bits of tree work. His quote came through promptly and was very reasonable so I accepted, the only problem being that he was fully booked for some time and couldn't do the work until late October but I decided it would be worth waiting. During October I began to think it was too late to cut the hedge because it would take away the birds' winter shelter and be rather bare to look at so the week before he was due I telephoned Yoda to explain this but say that I had realised there was more tree work to be done. He took it in his stride, agreeing that I was probably right about the hedge and suggested that , instead of individual prices, he charged a day rate for himself and his assistant and they got done as much as they could in the time. He and Rick arrived on time, were friendly and helpful, liaised with me all day, did a tremendous amount of work incredibly well, exactly as I asked and left everything tidy. I would thoroughly recommend them for first class work at a reasonable price.

Large conifer felled on garden - swiftly done with minimum fuss and little mess. Extremely pleased with the process from quote through planning permission application (we are in a conservation area) to completion of work.

The first appointment for the work had to be cancelled at the last minute due to a previous job over-running, but a new date was fixed very quickly and the work was carried out then. There were two options for our tree, which is a contorted willow badly in need of pruning, as it had grown enormously since the last pruning 2 years ago. We were given clear explanations about both options and reasons for their recommended option (pollarding - which we went for). The work was carried out efficiently and the garden was cleared up thoroughly before they went. The quote for the work was very reasonable and that was exactly what we were charged.

They assessed the work in advance and sent an acceptable estimate to hard prune a holly tree, an overgrown lilac entwined with ivy in a difficult position above a wall, and an overgrown shrub. They arrived punctually on the agreed day and carried out the work professionally. They listened to my requests, provided helpful advice, and the work was completed within budget. They cleared up every last twig and left the garden immaculate. I would definitely employ them again.

I employed Yoda to cut down two trees that were blocking a view, and to trim a yew into a better shape. He did this efficiently over one morning, and left the chippings where I asked. Yoda was friendly and helpful and I would happily employ him again for future tree work.

On the day with his colleague they severely trimmed a long neglected hedge, removed growth of intrusive plants, and pruned two apple trees. I had three trees (ash & beech) felled and had the height reduced/shaped of several others in my garden. I requested sizeable trunks/branches were stacked and left for our log burner and all brushwood to be removed. The work was carried out on the agreed dates. I did receive confirmation the work would go ahead the day before had. The work was carried out as agreed and when they finished the garden was cleared of all fallen leaves etc. We were very pleased with the standard of work carried out and the friendliness of the guys doing the work. All work was invoiced at the quoted amount and we would have no hesitation in using Meadowside Tree care again

Yoda & his team have cut our hedges and bushes over the last two years. They are very reliable i.e. do what they say they will do, when we have agreed to do it. Most importantly they take the time to check what particular requirements you have it terms of how you want things to be done.

I planted what was supposed to be a dwarf flowering cherry tree in my small town garden some years ago. Fast forward and it had become an overgrown monster, blocking both light and access. Yoda has done an excellent job - removing low branches, thinning and lifting the crown and re-shaping - creating a really lovely structure that can become a feature. He attended promptly to quote for the job, and to undertake the work. Very reasonable price as well. I have no hesitation in recommending him to others.

Meadowside have been looking after our hedges and trees for some years now. The work always looks right and follows our requests. This year, in particular, they have achieved a very close, fine looking cut on the hedges and cypress tree. A sycamore and silver birch needed reducing in size. Yoda responded quickly to our initial enquiry and gave a very reasonable quote. He put the required planning application in for us. I’ve used Meadowside Tree Services several times over the last ten years. Most recently, I had two trees felled and a 16-metre length of leylandii hedge removed and taken away. There was no mess or damage and the work was done very efficiently and with great care. They ground out all the stumps and there was no damage to my lawn or plants. My garden was left very neat and tidy with no mess. They are on the Council’s list of approved tree surgeons and I can highly recommend them.

We needed a large amount of conifers and other trees trimming to tidy up the garden for Spring / Summer and called Yoda and the team in on the back of a referral. He is a great guy to deal with and him and his team did a fantastic job. we will certainly continue to refer him amongst our friends.

After recent snowfall I found that some branches of my large conifer had been broken and were in a dangerous state overhanging the pavement/road. Consulting 'Which? Alison and her team came highly recommended to me from two friends who had each benefited from their care and I soon found that they had not exaggerated their praise. From the first contact with Alison I knew that we were in safe hands. Yoda made a preliminary visit,took photos and measurements and was so kind and courteous and a date was arranged to deal with my two trees, a Rangy Cornelian Cherry and a mature apple tree that badly needed shaping and pruning to let more light into my garden. Excellent job. Trees taken down carefully and efficiently. On time, polite and very helpful. Cleaned up afterwards and even took away some extra branches I had chopped down that I hadn't had time to clear. I would definitely recommend.

We had seen this firm working in the area, but had recently had a visit from someone else professing to be an expert in tree surgery and offering to prune our trees and shrubs at twice the price we were subsequently quoted by Meadowside Tree Care. Alison spent time with us on her initial visit explaining just what needed doing and giving advice as to what shrubs/trees we could plant to replace those that were going to be removed. She arrived punctually on the appointed day with a colleague and all the work was accomplished within the morning, without any fuss or mess.
