My wife and I were referred to Mels a couple of years ago. Since then their service and on-line help has been fabulous. We have occasionally had computer problems - always managed to solve it (like the problem I had last week). Consequently when my wife needed a new lap top a year or so ago, we went to Mels. They worked out what was best to suit her requirements. As I am still on Windows 10 (with updates etc. ending in about 6 or 7 weeks). So I am giving them my business for a new desk computer, which they say they can supply to my needs (my current unit is incapable of taking Windows 11) I know that, as I'll be 90 in a couple of years, Mels will help me settle in with my new computer. Well done MELS keep up the good work So well done Mel and all your colleagues

This is the second time Mel's Computers have come to my rescue. This time, I had to have a new laptop, and I had complete confidence that they would be able to transfer everything from my old laptop to the new one. My trust was rewarded with exemplary service. There were a couple of teething problems, but their after-sales service was excellent. Others have said ... and I agree ... it is very helpful to be able to talk to someone local and face to face to get good advice.

First class service as usual. Purchased a new laptop. Transfer of all information to the new laptop was done within two days. Needed to contact Mel about an app I was having trouble with. They sorted this out over the phone in 3 minutes. All is now fantastic with my new laptop. Would recommend without any hesitation to this Company. Great friendly service and very good prices.

Recovery of deleted files in my Medical Diary

Mel and his team spent a considerable amount of time trying to recover my lost files from my medical diary, which is very important to me. It was my fault that I deleted the files after trying to merge another file into the diary without making a back up beforehand, which I learnt form Mel this time (something I wont forget in the future) I have used Mel's Computer Care for many years and have always found them very professional and do all they can to assist you when things do go wrong and of course help in setting up new equipment when it requires to be upgraded. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending Mel's to any one whether they be novices like me or someone that is well up in computing.

After reaching out for (home) PC support over many years, Mel’s Computer Care remains my first and only ‘go to’ for help whenever I feel out of my depth with some aspect of (ever-changing) I.T. technology. Whether my enquiries have necessitated on-site support or remote log-in, Mel’s support in the past has ranged from whole PC upgrades and replacements of failing hard disc drives, to assistance with syncing my PC with my mobile phone & iPad - even to the extent of guiding me through occasional difficulties with setting up sundry software applications. In short, no matter what my problem, I have always received 100% attention and completely satisfactory resolution from Mel and his team. All this with an empathetic (figurative) arm around my shoulder!

First impressions count. Greated with a friendly welcome. Explained the issue with my laptop. Over a nearly 30 min period I explained the issues, and the engineer told me about what were the possible issues. I left it over night. They said the would ring me the following day if they have found the issue (s). They rang me the following day and explained the issue. I asked if they could increase the RAM at the same time. I was given a quote over the phone ( at no time was I persuaded to buy this or that ). I found the price to be very competitive. I said go ahead with it. Two days later it was ready for collection. When I collected it they explained what the had done. I am over the moon with it. It's like a new laptop. Through the whole process they have been really friendly and helpful. They did explain about after care package's that they do ( no persuading me too buy ). Thank you all.

I first had problems on 29/05/25, which was caused by my internet supplier. They were doing work in my area and my internet went off completely. Eventually it came back on in the house but I could not get my laptop working. I phoned Mel and he spoke to me over the phone telling me what to do and he got me up and running. I booked an appointment to have a total clean up on my laptop and he said no problem just pop along and we can do it for you. M JONES

I have been using Mel's Computer Care for a number of years and that says a lot. They are a reliable, friendly bunch of computer nerds who do go that extra mile to sort out issues, provide new hardware, install software : in other words they do the lot. I've found their prices quite reasonable and when all is said and done a firm that does the job with the minimum of fuss and at low cost, well you can understand why I have been using them for years.

After a very worrying time trying to deal with longstanding technological confusion, I’ve been absolutely delighted with your help, especially regarding domain names. Tywi not only did the job in the time and at the cost agreed, but was endlessly patient, friendly and reassuring. Instead of feeling stupid, I now feel more competent to try and work things out , understand what it’s reasonable for me not to know, and comfortable to ask for help if I need a quick answer to a quick question. Consequently, technology can take its place as something useful rather than a monster lurking in every corner of my life. Mel and his staff are unfailingly courteous and friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, and professional. It is a pleasure to visit the shop! However, and more importantly, they are all ready to go the extra mile to help. An example of this occurred just before Christmas 2024, when my husband’s elderly phone went completely dead shortly before his admission to hospital. Although their main concern is with computers, Mel and his team sourced, bought, and set up a new phone for him, brought it to the house, and phoned the following day to ensure that there were no problems. This kindness made a difficult time so much easier! More recently, Towie has spent much time on the phone, successfully helping me to combat a printer problem, and Alina visited to deal, again successfully , with a practical difficulty. Thank you all SO much! I can’t recommend Mel’s Computer Centre too highly!

We ordered a new bespoke PC Tower, monitor, keyboard and mouse from Mel’s. The order was completed on time, and our data was transferred from our old computer to the new one by Twyi, one of the staff. Communication about the progress of this process was clear and appropriate. The new computer was delivered to us and installed for us, which was a great help. We do appreciate the personal service, which is always helpful and patient. This is one reason why we go to Mel’s- it is always possible to discuss and find help for even minor problems.
