Stephen and his team replaced our boiler and old tank system with a new Worcester Bosch combi boiler. They were very thorough, advising us on various options and finding a solution that fits best for our house. They completed the job within the stated timeframes and were very professional and tidy. Lovely guys, very friendly. Stephen also previously helped us out at very short notice when our boiler tripped in the middle of winter with a newborn and toddler at home - eternally greatful for that! Would recommend to anyone without hesitation.

The team at Mercer Plumbing fitted a new boiler for us. They were very helping when advising on new boiler and provided a range of price options. When fitting boiler they were lovely to have in the house for the day. Did a great job and ensured to clean/tidy before they left.

The team worked flat out after we had a boiler system fail. The boiler was a 12 year warranty 30kw Worcester Bosch, no other supplier could offer a free boiler warranty period this long. They were extremely professional and helpful. The price was about £1000 less than larger companies and they offered 0% finance. It was installed in a day compared to Scottish Gas who charged twice as much and installation over 3 days. It was good to see them with an apprentice and growing their team.

Stephen from Mercer plumbing was round a couple of hours after my emergency call late on a friday afternoon during a very busy period (burst pipes everywhere in central Scotland!). He identified my boiler fault which was leaking water, conducted a prompt check - frozen condensate overflow drain pipe - and solution and provided much needed reassurance that the problem was minor and reversible. He then charged a very reasonable call out fee. All in all a great service - honest, reliable, credible and professional. What more can you ask - one of life's good guys.

We had the guys at Mercer Plumbing out to remove an old back boiler and fit a new boiler and 5 radiators in our house. They were prompt and efficient and cleared up any mess they made. They were clear in showing us how to use our new boiler system and thermostat and were able to give us advice with our new heating system. They even finished the job earlier than we expected which was helpful. Great, hard working guys who we would recommend to anyone needing a new boiler and radiators!

We have used Mercer's on a number of occasions and found that they provide quick, efficient and excellent service. During Covid both Steven and Barry observed all safety rules while still maintaining a friendly, approachable service. Cannot recommend them too highly

Despite repeated requests to return and investigate ongoing problems arising immediately after install Mercer has offered no help. Eventually we had a Worcester engineer out who replaced the heat exchanger and pointed out the other failings made by Mercer in the installation which resulted in us getting a do not use notification from Worcester who told us we would not be covered by their warranty until remedial works done to Mercer's installation were complete because of safety concerns. We are now looking for someone to undertake these works. The experience with Mercer has been absolutely awful.

Needed a boiler replacement and sought 3 quotes (with accompanying visits to see the job), identifying candidates via Which and local TT schemes, and compared those quotes with the online providers. The price these guys offered was fair and reasonable, the associated advice was excellent and I appointed them to do the job. They arrived promptly on the agreed date (about 2 weeks after appointment - the previous boiler still worked, so no real urgency), worked hard, got the job done smoothly, were pleasant and polite throughout, cleaned up after themselves and took time to go through the features of the new boiler in detail. This was a completely painless and extremely pleasing job. I will not go anywhere else in future for annual services or repairs (albeit now have a 12 year guarantee) and am delighted to highly recommend to others needing similar work done.

We first got in touch the previous week after being recommended by another tradesman. Because we are both in our eighties we were considered to be a priority. This was a great relief to us as we had no hot water or heating. The owner of the firm came that same day and tried to repair our old boiler but it was needing parts which were not available. The decision was made to get a new boiler which was installed at the first opportunity by what I would call the A-team! The team were great workers and it was a pleasure to have them in our home. Nothing was any trouble to them. Pipes had to be moved to allow the new boiler to fit in our cupboard. Everything is working well now and we are very appreciative of the service we received.

A continuous level of high quality of work throughout the job. The initial estimate was the fixed price with no extra hidden costs. Professional guys who knew exactly how to do the job and continuously explained each part of the job. Dealt with all problems they met with no extra cost. Gave good advice with regards to cost-saving and would be highly recommended.

Barry and Stephen did an excellent job installing our new boiler. Work was completed on time and on budget. They were both very professional, friendly and helpful, and clearly explained the job and gave advice on after care. They were respectful of our property, for example laying down sheets to walk on, which was much appreciated. Great to know they are available locally for any questions and future work.

In an age of faceless call centres, Stephen was reassuringly hands on, professional and endlessly patient, taking time to explain controls and followed up post installation to ensure everything was ok. Had them fit a new combi boiler system and remove the old tanks. They were outstanding, took the time to explain what would happen. Arrived on time, polite and took care while in the flat. Had the whole job done in one day. Will use them for all future jobs we might need. Real pleasure to do business with.

Just had a new Bosh Boiler installed. Very happy with the speed and workmanship of Stephen and his colleague. They were professional but had a friendly manner. Most importantly they took the time to explain all the controls and left my home neat and tidy. Contacted Stephen as our old boiler had failed. He discussed our needs fully and answered all the questions we had about changing our existing system boiler to a combi boiler. We were put at ease by his professionalism. After receiving his very competitive quote we booked him in to do the job. Stephen and his team arrived on time and started immediately. They had a lot to do. New boiler, upgrade some of the pipe work, replace the radiator valves, removal of the hot water cylinder and cold water tank. I loved their “never been beaten yet” attitude. The team carried out the work in one day, as promised, and did their best to keep everything clean and tidy by putting down protective mats and covers. They installed a boiler for us and before leaving made sure everything was working the way it should and balanced out the system, providing full support and demo of our new controls too. Outstanding in every way. From cleanliness of vans to qualify of paper used on quote it marked them out and my goodness they followed through in the same vein and then some! Mild hiccup with the newly designed boiler but Bosch sent a same day engineer especially from Kendal arriving late in the day with every conceivable part to ensure completion and all duly sorted : service beyond exceptional from both Bosch and Mercer!. Cannot commend them highly enough. They will be my go to for all plumbing (as well as Son and daughter) Quite superb

We needed a very old boiler replacing with a new boiler, tank and upgraded pipe work. The team from Mercer's did an brilliant job, were very hard working, friendly and clean. They were not phased by an issues an old house threw at them. I would definitely recommend them and use them again.

We have had a problem boiler which decided to finally die on a Sunday night - i got a firm out on the Monday to look at it and was basically told that i was better off getting a new one - which was i believe the right answer. i told them i would be getting quotes and they gave me a price on a Worcester. I found Mercer's on the internet as a Worcester specialist and gave them a phone - Steve was at my door in 30 minutes and i had a quote by the afternoon; which was competitive compared with the other lot and came with a longer guarantee and gave me a water filter for free. By the end of Thursday the boiler was installed and pumping out heat and hot water - the two guys who fitted it we lovely and left the place immaculate. One issue - which was no one's real fault but due to a lack of communication - was when i came to refit the housing - it would fit round the boiler - Steve came out the next day and with a bit of joinery we found a solution!! Thanks Steve and Co - this was a job well done and you have a very happy customer who is in love with his shower - what a difference in terms of water pressure and temperature!! - What started off as a disaster is now a triumph!!

The guys at Mercer removed an old broken boiler of mine and fitted a new Worcester boiler. They only took one day as they said they would. The cost was as stated in the quote. They answered all our questions in easy to understand language. In fact they did over and above the job we asked them to do. They were a terrific team. I will be using their services again when I need any plumbing done. I fully recommend them to anyone looking for plumbing work needing done.

Could not rate Stephen, James and Barry from Mercer plumbing highly enough. I had an old boiler and they did everything they could to get it working however eventually I had to replace it and the job was absolutely seemless. They worked non stop, highly professionally and were also just lovely people! 5 stars! Highly recommend!

We arranged for Mercer Plumbing to install a Worcester Bosch boiler for us at the end of June this year. They visited our premises to provide a quote and we found them to be very professional and personable. On the day they arrived promptly and the two engineers completed the job well within the one day quoted. They made a first class job of installation and tidying up plus carried out extra work in boxing in our new flue and pipes. They tested our radiators before leaving and provided us with the Bosch ten year guarantee as Mercer Plumbing are a Worcester accredited installer. A friendly local business well worth supporting. Stephen and his team installed a new Worcester boiler and Wave controller for me a couple of weeks back. I don't normally give reviews, but they were great, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

Mercer plumbing installed a new Worcester Bosch boiler for us on 30 May 2018. The quote was speedily provided and was very competitive and the boiler came with a ten year guarantee. Installation was done in a day. Two very personable installers who explained the new boiler, tested all the radiators and left the house tidy. I have no hesitation to recommend this company. Stephen organised this all very quickly for us just before he went into hospital. Great to have a reliable, trustworthy local company. Many thanks.

New boiler and radiators fitted to replace old boiler 7 radiators.Fixed problem they found with plumbing and also fixedk knocking noise which I had with old system.No mess everything done in one day men were please to and friendly, would recommend them without hesitation.

We have now had Mercer Plumbing at our property twice , first time was last year to fit a new heating system in the older part of our house, and this week to repair the heating system installed years ago by others in our extension. The new system, fuelled by a Worcester Boiler is hugely efficient and the work was carried out in a professional and courteous manner. The team left everything clean and tidy behind them. This week, Mr Mercer agreed to try and repair an old system which was never effective, and by replacing the original piping, has now got the entire house warm and comfortable. Again, the work was carried out with the minimum of fuss, and the house was left spotless. Mercer Plumbing are highly professional and their work is exemplary. We would highly recommend them .

I have used Mercer Plumbing Services Ltd over the past few years for the installation of my new boiler and other plumbing jobs. I recently contacted Stephen Mercer regarding a problem we were having with our outside drain. As always, Stephen was very pleasant to deal with and he immediately put us at ease, he arranged a visit the next day. Barry and James arrived on time and were very courteous, friendly and helpful. They were professional in their approach and respectful of my property wearing protective footwear at all times. After a thorough investigation, they identified the probable problem, but to be sure they would need access to the downstairs flat so I contacted our neighbour for access and the guys made arrangements to return the next day. Stephen and the guys turned up as arranged and having fully assessed the problem, carried out the repair. Their work is meticulous, cleaning as they go and very reasonably priced. Stephen and his team installed a new Worcester Bosch boiler for me in the first week of December. The price was almost 1/3 less than British Gas and the warranty offered was 10 years as opposed to five. The work was completed within a day and all warranty documentation was provided the same day. The team cleaned up afterwards and removed all of the old boiler components. Stephen has been very pleasant to deal with and has responded promptly and comprehensively to all queries relating to the boiler and ongoing service. I asked about additional radiators and he advised that I should wait for the new boiler and then see if additional radiators were still required - a level of honesty and not a hard sell which is refreshing. Very impressed and no hesitations in recommending Mercer for a boiler installation.
