Metro Eco provided a very accessible, friendly and highly competent service from initial contact, including ongoing advice and answering of queries and coordination with other companies (Huddersfield Plate Glass) and flexibility of arrangement. I chose the company because of their environmental credentials (recommended by Green Building Store) and they responded to questions on an environmental score as well as a cost and practicality front. The actual work was done extremely well, efficiently and in a manner sensitive to owner and neighbours including clearing up. The members of staff who did the assessment and carried out the work were very good at explaining each stage of the process in a helpful and understandable way. Thank you!

I called Metro Eco as they were local, well rated and on the Which Trusted trader list. I wasn't disappointed. I'd arranged a survey to see about getting a new combi boiler for the Monday. The night before, our old boiler gave up the ghost and we had nothing. No heat or water, nothing. Their representative, Tom, arrived on time only to be told we now needed a new boiler and explained why. He went through the options, sorted out what model was best and said to give him a couple of hours to see what he could do. 2 hours later, he rang back and said they could come tomorrow at around 8-30am.That alone was worthy of mention, but life always throws a spanner in the works. The following morning they rang at 8-15 to say a member of staff had rung in sick and they were having to rearrange their workload and it would now be between 10-30 and 12. These things happen and I was concerned it would make it unlikely that the new boiler could still be fitted in one day. They arrived at 10-25 and didn't leave until 18-45 making sure everything was done and all completed. Really. How can you fault that? The 2 guys were at it constantly, without a moan or grumble despite their late finish,which wasn't their fault after all. Everything about the job was dealt with politely, articulately and above all with a sense of wanting to help. I won't go anywhere else now. You find someone you feel you can trust, you keep hold of them. I heartily and unhesitatingly recommend them.

The reminder for our Annual Service arrived and an appointment was made for Metro Group Services Ltd to provide a Deluxe Boiler and System Service. Chris arrived on time and completed the task without fuss or interruption. Cleaning the Magnetic Filter and flushing through along with the other checks will hopefully ensure that we remain warm and have hot water through the months ahead. We bought our repair boiler a couple of years ago from Metro and we are satisfied with the product, aftercare and Customer Service. Recommended.

A water mains fitting had come loose in my house. Metro Eco were the only company that had availability to fix my emergency job the next day, all other companies I rang had no availability for the next month. I would say that the price was a little high, but for the quality and speed of the work in an emergency situation, my experience has been second to none.

I can not recommend Metro Eco enough. I bought a house which had a very old boiler, radiators without valves etc. I was clearly told what needs to be done to upgrade to condensing boiler. Two plumbers worked exceptionally hard and despite of some struggles of the house old system their knowledge how to overcome it was incredible. The quote was reasonable and now I have a fantastic boiler. Thank you!

Received a reminder that my annual service was due so I did not forget. A phone call easily arranged the appointment. Follow up email to confirm. Fixed service price agreed. The engineer arrived at the time scheduled, was very efficient and explained to me what he was checking. Completed the service within an hour, sorted out paperwork and left everything tidy having tested the operation of the system. Situation a C/H boiler to renew but remove from a central cupboard in the apartment above electrical fuse boxes etc. and the complex flue arrangement to a bedroom outside wall and within a wardrobe. So involving gas engineers, electricians and joiners. One big problem on the wardrobe for the joinery firm solved by Metrogroup reciting the completed boiler 150mm to one side all at no extra cost. Metrogroup had been recommended to us and we would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone. They are friendly helpful and everything clean and tidy when completed.

Our boiler decided to pack in, we were recommended by a relative to use metro eco, we contacted them and a man came round to review the situation, eg the strength of boiler needed to cope with our needs. He gave us a quote for the total amount, we accepted the quote which was a lot cheaper than we expected. They came to fit the new boiler when they said and left no mess whatsoever. The new boiler is brilliant, no more warning others to not use water whilst I'm taking a shower. Overall a highly efficient company which I would recommend to anyone.

Initially tested our electrical installation as we were experiencing regular tripping of the main rcd. They were very thorough, explaining the issues and results as they went through the work. As a result of the tests, they came back (rearranging their work schedule to accommodate us) and replaced the rcd with an rcb, again keeping us in the loop throughout. This element was carried out quickly with minimal disruption to power supply. Wouldn't hesitate to use them again which is the best recommendation we can give.

Due to a major water leak I had to get my electrics checked. Typed in a request on metro eco website and not long after Mark contacted me and got me booked in. Billy arrived early that morning introduced himself explained what he needed to do. Before walking around he asked if he needed to remove his shoes, he was so well mannered. He explained why he was doing certain checks and was very helpful answering my questions. Mark arrived later on made sure all was well, he was even kind enough to change one of the lights on my fan extractor, which he wasn’t required to do. They were both thorough in their checks of the smoke alarms, lights, sockets, EV charger, Billy even managed to reset my house alarm. Mark made his recommendations and sent a remedial quote that evening. They offered a professional service, friendly upstanding guys. They left me with such a peace of mind.

Advice on fitting an efficient floodlight above our front door was clear and helpful. I was looking at getting 2 EV chargers installed, one at my house and one at my mums a couple of miles away. Metro Eco had lots of good reviews so I chose them. They needed info on both properties which was uploaded through a rather detailed online form which wanted measurements and descriptions and photos. The job needed to be done before the end of March to qualify for a government grant of £350. I gave the details and got a quote through for each address. They added the grant amount onto the bill rather than taking it off!. With VAT they were asking me to commit to paying them over £1500 in a legally binding contract. I asked them to resend the invoice taking off the grant rather than adding it on and they sent the same invoice with it added on. The car charger itself is for sale online for £560 at one retailer so they are making some profit on that. This company though are adding £1000 onto that for fitting and cable. The only reason I went with them was to get the government grant. I won't be getting my second charger fitted by them.

The invoice layout is stipulated by OZEV so unfortunately, we cannot alter this however confusing you found it. Furthermore, your request for a further charger was rejected by us as there were serious abnormalities with the evidence you provided. The grant is only available to those who qualify, we cannot accept any illegitimate information as this would be a breach of the regulations.

I needed a job doing quickly but it wasn’t necessarily an emergency. I’d seen Metro’s vans around so gave them a call. They said someone could be round in an hour. I had to pay the call out fee of £125 up front but once that was done someone was there within the hour and did the job in fifteen minutes. The fee was only for an hour and felt a bit pricey and maybe that’s the going rate nowadays but (touch wood) it was a job well done.

When my shower stopped working, my friend recommended metro eco as she was impressed with them when they did some work for her. I read their reviews which were excellent on their website and also saw they were Which recommended. I rang them and received excellent customer care. I was given a quote and an appointment for the following day. The shower switch unit was replaced at the time arranged and two days later a new shower was fitted. I was really pleased that metro eco could provide both an electrician and a plumber. Both arrived on time and were knowledgeable about what was required. They were polite , friendly and got on with the job. Payment was quick and easy. I am so glad to have found a local company who turn up when they say they will and do a professional job. Will definitely ring them in the future for electrical/plumbing issues.

Metro Eco are the only company we use for plumbing and Gas work. They are always so professional. They take good care of your home, treating it with respect. For example they asked if they had to remove their shoes and put down dust sheets to capture the majority of mess. The two chaps worked very hard to fit and extremely heavy radiator. It didn't go completely smoothly but they worked as a team and got their in the end, resolving any challenges together. It was a ridiculously heavy radiator but they didn't leave until they knew it was fully working and there was no leaks. Super clear and honest quotes, nothing hidden, easy to pay.

After noticing a gas smell we called the national emergency number. The response was quick and the source of the leak identified but the only thing they do is make everything safe. They cannot fix the problem. I called Metro Eco as they always service our gas appliances. They arranged to come very quickly, clearly juggling other appointments to accommodate us. Paul was calm, knowledgeable and professional, sorting out the problem so that the gas could be turned back on. He advised on the next course of action and we were finally able to relax!

I had metro eco recommended by a friend so I thought I would give them a try, I had also seen the vans out and about locally. Although they were very busy when I phoned a polite gentleman phoned me back within an hour. I explained the problem I was having with my boiler, he understood the issue and said that due to a late cancellation the engineer could be with me within the hour. I was not expecting such a quick response, and sure enough, they arrived within half an hour of his call. Although I was disappointed that they did not have the part on the van, and had to break off to get it, they were soon back and had the job completed within the hour. Very pleasant, polite and efficient, although I considered the cost excessive. I would use Metro again, as I consider that they are reliable and trustworthy.

Metro Eco had previously done small jobs for me like boiler servicing and fitting a radiator. Always promptly and efficiently. When I moved house I needed a new boiler and full CH system. This was somewhat daunting and other providers had huffed and puffed and told me some parts weren't doable! Most didn't even want to quote! Not so with Metro Eco, Tom arrived to quote when he said he would, reassured me and discussed options with me. He immediately provided a quote, I accepted and a installation date was agreed by return. I had to wait a little while but that's normal at the moment and shows they are in demand. Jordan and Tony arrived on the first day (with some help from others eg Paul - also helpful, especially with leaking toilet). They were polite and friendly, clearly knew what they were doing, explained at every stage and did an excellent job, cleaning up every night and moving all my junk! Tony is an apprentice and it was lovely to see apprenticeships working well, Jordan explained clearly at each stage to Tony about what to do, what he was doing and how important various steps are. I have a fully working system with a lovely boiler and radiators - if you can describe these things as lovely! Highly recommend.

Metro Group Eco, we’re friendly, helpful and very competent. I felt I and my property were in safe hands with them. The guys were very supportive and explained what they were doing and why, including providing a clear explanation of faults and solutions for an EICR test. I was was not aware of their fixed price policy on quotes, so I was nicely surprised to find this was actually true, , so no nasty surprises, which allowed me to pay them in full and on time. They have a strapline, on their vehicles, something like “dedicated” to service” and they showcased this excellently. Metro Group were vey professional, from start to finish, communicating clearly by text and email, which provided much reassurance, which I appreciated, especially at a time, when demand for services is high. I would highly recommend these electrical contractors and I will be using them again. Thankyou Metro Group!

Metro eco Huddersfield were recommended by a neighbour, who had used them for electrical work, but I had checked out the customer reviews on their website and on Which? before I called them. My new boiler had failed and I had water stains on the kitchen ceiling which pointed to a leak coming from the bathroom above. After calling round to assess the situation, Metro eco sent round a dynamic duo - Paul J and Billy, to tackle the job. It was a bit tricky to get to the source of the leak and involved cutting through the ceiling and taking out a section of leaking pipe in a very small working area. At one stage I thought they'd have to take out my bath or lift my nice bathroom tiles up to get at it (which gave me palpitations!) but Paul stuck at it until he got the job done. This is a man who obviously knows his stuff and isn't going to let anything beat him - for which I am ever so grateful. Both very nice guys, very courteous and professional and thank you for cleaning up nicely after yourselves! Communication/customer service was excellent (from David in the office), quote provided on the day of the assessment and it's so easy to pay once the job is done - either online using the link on the invoice that's emailed or just calling up. Thank you Metro Eco, I will most certainly use your services again.

I contacted Metro having seen their Which listing. I had a light that was taking a long time to come on and didn't know if there was a fault in the switch or the light fitting. I also wanted someone to check that my smoke alarm was in good working order. Every aspect of their service was excellent. My initial phone call was dealt with by a really helpful and friendly gentleman who took details and then told me how things would be dealt with before answering any queries I might have. I then received an email confirming the appointment and further email reminders just before the service visit which had been arranged. Emails gave me the time of the appointment and the name of the person who would be coming. The electricians turned up on time and again were extremely helpful and friendly. They assessed the situation in respect of the faulty light fitting and smoke alarm and explained the work which needed to be carried out clearly and carried it out once I had given the go-ahead. I liked the fact that they gave me full explanations about what needed to be done. I was also pleased with the way that they left the area they had been working on clean and tidy. Arrangements for settling the account are also very straightforward and I considered that the account submitted was very reasonable for the standard of service given. I can't rate this firm too highly and I wouldn't hesitate to use them again in the future.

Agreed with David the size of this lamp which has been hand crafted. We confirmed a costing for completion and shipping. Great communication and there were no problems only solutions through out the Covid 19 year . Throughout David kept me updated and the end result is a beautiful period lamp adorning out cast iron gas lamp post. Even though our post had a square head we married it to the sturdy round ring of the four legged frog supplied easily. Highly recommended if you are seeking a genuine looking hand fabricated lamp.

The following work was carried out: - Fit replacement wired room thermostat controller - Fit replacement extractor fan. - Fit replacement external security light Following completion of this work it was found that an additional security light had failed (but not as a result of the preceding work), so a further job was carried out to replace it, which was treated as a separate job but all costed under the one invoice. The quality of work and materials used, as far as I can tell, were of a high quality. Customer service very good; both technicians I dealt with (Mark and Jon) I found to be professional and friendly, and communication was good. I found out after I had accepted the quote of £114 that the job to replace a single floodlight, which took 30mins, contained a £65.50 "one off" job cost (the floodlight was £49.50) (all incl VAT), which would appear high. So I would engage the Metro Group again only if I had a number of jobs or if the scale of a single job would effectively make that one off fee insignificant against the total.

He found the thermostatic valves were working and said he would need to come back to find out why the radiator wasn't getting hot. However after he had left we found the radiator had got hot for the first time in many months so he must have cleared a blockage. Accordingly we will not now require a further visit.

We had never used Metro Eco before, but when Worcester Bosch provided us with recommended installers, we were delighted that not only were they the nearest service provider, within one mile of our home, but Metro Eco also had been attributed with an impressive level of very positive customer feedback. Our initial call provided us with a surveyor visiting our home the same day and a quotation being received also the same day. We found the quotation to be very reasonable and after confirmation for the work to be undertaken, we were given a prompt start date. We did suffer with poor gas pressure, but Metro Eco were able to arrange with Northern Gas to resolve. We can’t thank Metro Eco enough for ticking all the boxes. Every member of the team we engaged with were brilliant. We are so happy with the installation. Being provided with a 12 year parts and labour guarantee gives us peace of mind.

Called Metro as recommended by manufacturers as a highly rated local service providers. Paid £85 for an engineer to tell me what I already knew. Yes my boiler was leaking, because that is what I called for. They emailed with an extortionate quote to fit a part which cost a fraction of what they were charging. Hence I did not use them and got my boiler repaired by the manufacturer quicker than they had first anticipated at nowhere near the price metro where charging. Be very cautious of their charging strategy. I would not recommend.

Replaced the existing gas boiler and installed two towel rails to replace existing radiators in two bathrooms. I chose Metro based on them being listed by Worcester Bosch as local installers and their Trusted Trader status. The work was carried out within the predicted timeframe of 8am to 3pm and the installation of the boiler and towel rails was neat and tidy. After two days the boiler developed an unusual fault and refused to operate but did not generate an error code. Metro attended the same day and having checked the fault to the boiler cured the fault by "rebooting" its electronics.

I experienced failure of power from the domestic fuse box. The Metro group was recommended by a busy electrician. A visit was arranged for the following day . Mark attended and when he he realised we needed help not an assessment he took it upon himself to resolve the problem the same day. Initial impressions of Metro-Eco as a professional organisation were not wrong. From original quote process, through discussion of the best solution for replacing our 21 year old Worcester Bosch boiler, to final installation, their staff were helpful, courteous and knowledgable. Tom helped to determine the best replacement boiler for our needs, and Paul, Chris and Jordan installed the W/B 8000 Life 45kW boiler with the minimum of fuss and disruption. They even sent a builder round to repair the hole in the stone left by the old flue, which was again carried out to a high standard. Highly recommended, and they are also very competitive for price!

I initially got a quotation for this work in late 2019 but the covid-19 situation stopped me proceeding when planned. Unfortunately my boiler then failed in early April. I was extremely grateful that Metro Eco were able to install my new boiler within a week of my request given the present situation. The work was all carried out in a day and a half and was entirely in accordance with the quotation - the price was also in accordance with that quotation with no extra costs. The work consisted of the installation of a new Worcester Bosch combi boiler to provide domestic hot water and central heating. Central heating is mainly via underfloor heating with two first floor radiators. The work also involved the upgrading of the control systems for the underfloor heating to allow greater control of heating. The two engineers wore masks and dealt with social distancing very well. All relevant floors were protected throughout the work and the whole installation was carried out in an excellent manner. Decorations and finishes were all left in an unmarked condition. On completion I was given instruction on the operation of the boiler and of the Hive thermostat control unit. The whole process was hassle and problem-free and I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this company.

Have just had a new boiler installed. Most impressed by all the contact I had with a number of different employees from Metro Eco throughout the whole process of initial quote, clarifications requested, installation and resolution of a query after installation. Quote was thorough and advice helpful. Surveyor diagnosed small fault with unvented cylinder and promised engineers would check it whilst installing boiler - which they did. Engineers arrived on the dot, worked hard all day, were approachable and cleaned up thoroughly. Builder made good the stonework (doing beautiful job) on same day. Rang Metro Eco several hours later (at 7pm on a Friday) having slightly misunderstood purpose of one of the lights on boiler and having also underestimated ambient temperature in house. Within 20 minutes I received a very friendly call back which patiently, step by step, put my mind completely at rest. And they were the cheapest of the 3 quotes !

Great service all around from start to finish. Quotation appointment was booked in for a time amenable to us to accommodate work commitments. Professional, detailed and thorough. Two options provided and explanation provided as to why they were slightly different ie, explanation of pro's and con's of different types of boilers. Once the selected quote was agreed, the job was booked in for a day convenient to us. The engineer arrived on time and was friendly and professional. Very detailed in the work he carried out and informative throughout the installation. The engineer set up the heating control system and cleaned up at the end of the day. Very impressed with the service and have since recommended Metro to two family members - both went on to use them for new boiler installations. Would highly recommend to all.

This was the first service of our boiler that was installed by Metro Eco in March 2018. We had noted a service code on the boiler prior to the visit which we reported and they ensured the engineer had the correct part to fit on the day meaning no follow up visits were needed. The engineer arrived in good time within the 2 hour slot we were given so there was no hanging around waiting. The work was completed in good time, the area left clean and tidy with the boiler working well. Good company, helpful and knowledgeable staff, definitely recommend.

Recently booked a gas boiler service at a time that suited me. The service itself was efficiently done with no fuss or mess. Service engineer was very knowledgeable and friendly. I have used Metro a number of times; they fitted the gas boiler, replaced my consumer fuse box, fitted new kitchen sink taps and plumbed in my washing machine. I would never hesitate to call upon Metro for any electrical, plumbing or gas work.

We needed to have a boiler replaced before winter. I emailed the company & received a phone call within the hour to arrange a visit. Tom explained really clearly about which boilers were suitable for our house. We arranged a day for the work to commence. The two fitters arrived on time. Having moved house recently we needed several jobs to be done. Our initial internet enquiry was answered immediately and appointments for quotes were arranged promptly. We had replacement spotlights fitted in our bathroom, a lighting transformer replaced, the boiler and two gas fires checked and serviced, and the boiler replaced. All of this was completed within a week of our first enquiry by cheerful and courteous professionals who gave clear explanations of necessary operating instructions and left the house clean and tidy. We would recommend this company wholeheartedly and would not hesitate to use them again.

My experience started with a visit from Tom who advised and explained things in a clear, concise way and made recommendations to suit my budget. He went out of his way to source information for some additional work that I decided to have done. I was very impressed with his choices and advice. The work was undertaken by Conner and Sam who were very friendly and professional. They were very punctual and gave me regular updates on their progress. An unexpected problem arose but we were able to discus a solution which was suitable to me. They worked very professionally and cleaned up after themselves as they went along. On completion of the work Conner explained the new boiler and heater operational instructions, the care plan and aftercare details in a clear un-rushed way and took time to answer my questions. I am genuinely delighted with my dealings with Metro Eco and I have no hesitation in recommending them.

Although I had an old gas boiler, I had a repair contract with with a National Company for parts and labour repairs. However having waited for nearly eleven days without hot water I contacted Metro Eco. Did an online estimate which was so easy I then spoke to Tom and arranged an appointment for 10 April. Tom duly arrived on time examined work to be carried out. The following day, Paul the engineer arrived and fitted the new boiler. His work was to the highest standard. On completion everything was taken away, my garage was swept out and we were up and running. I would have no hesitation in recommending Metro Eco as they did a fantastic job.

I moved to the area in October and discovered a lot more needed doing than I'd expected although a boiler replacement was expected. I've learnt a lot - one thing being many traders don't provide quotes the promise, don't do what they say, and don't do it when they say they will. Metro Eco on the other hand provided the quote on the day they said, worked with me to make the work possible, and did it when they said they would. This involved removing two old boilers and installing one (excellent) Intergas combi boiler (HRE 36/40) in a different location. The team worked hard, kept everything clean and were great to deal with. They completed the work on schedule, helped crack a few related issues and later returned to adjust a few things. I've delayed writing this for a couple of months just to make sure everything has bedded in properly, and it has. They were not my lowest quote, but they had experience with my choice of boiler and control system. Bottom line is I would thoroughly recommend them and in my view Intergas boilers, even though not well known, are well worth considering. Thanks guys!

Metro Eco have just fitted a new boiler in our house and I have to say I've been impressed with the company from start to finish. We got a number of companies to quote for the job and although not the cheapest, we went with Metro Eco on the basis that they were the most thorough and gave us the most confidence in the job that would be done. On the day of the boiler fitting the team were a little bit late due to traffic (but had the courtesy to call and let me know) and then did a thoroughly professional job, fitting the boiler in one day as promised.
