We have used Michael and his team previously for some interior decorating. his job involved full painting of the exterior of our house with scaffolding up. They firstly carefully restored any problems with the rendering, rubbed down the windows etc and patient all surfaces really carefully with 3 final coats A really brilliant job and a pleasure to have them working for us

I contacted Michael Rose Painting as I needed my mum's bedroom decorated. She is 84 years old and worries about everything. Between them, myself and my daughter we have managed to put her mind at rest and she is so happy with the finished bedroom. They have been kind, courteous, professional and a job well done. We hired Michael Rose's team to paint the front and side of our house above ground level. His scaffolders arrived on the agreed day; the work was completed on time; and the scaffolding was removed promptly thereafter. We are very pleased with the outcome and Michael has included a 6 year guarantee. We were also impressed by the preparations and the care taken during the work. Michael and his team were attentive and courteous; there were no issues. Decorating in the London suburbs comes at a cost these days, especially when it involves scaffolding, but the outcome matched our best expectations.

We had our flat painted by Michael and his team and were very happy with the result. After the work was finished we had new carpets laid and they returned to patch up bits of the work which had been damaged during that process. They definitely go the extra mile! It's important to us to feel comfortable with people in our home, and these guys were great. They were reliable, polite and hard working. We would wholeheartedly recommend Michael Rose.

It's not often I have bumped into a professional that will go above and beyond what is asked of them in order to facilitate a good quality home renovation. Michael Rose is such a service. His work was within budget and on schedule. the quality of the workmanship was impressive and his communication was spot on. Furthermore, after discussing the overall plan for our house renovation, Michael was able to facilitate other aspect of the renovation (such as carpentry, electrical worc etc.) through his trusted network of contacts, with full transparency every step of the way. His thoughtfulness and professionalism really put us at ease and made our house renovation much easier and stress-free than it would otherwise have been. We are really grateful for his work and can't recommend him highly enough

Michael and his young team member Scotty were friendly and polite throughout. The quote seemed reasonable for the work, so we agreed to proceed. However, the job felt rushed and squeezed between others. They were scheduled for late morning Thursday but arrived at 7pm, did an hour of prep, then left. Work resumed Friday at 10am, with some back and forth on colour matching—something I expected more guidance on. They wrapped up at 5pm with a fair bit still unfinished. Michael returned Saturday at 3pm, worked until 8:30pm, and came again Sunday for 45 minutes. When we reviewed the work, it was patchy with a slapdash finish on the woodwork—masonry paint was splattered and the surface hadn’t been properly sanded. I’d assumed “rub down” meant to sand back existing paint, but apparently not. I expected this would be corrected Monday, but instead received an early email asking for a review and payment. I asked for the woodwork to be redone and the masonry cleaned up—Michael agreed and arrived at 2:15pm. Given our home is on a busy street and several passers-by took interest in the signage, I’d hoped for better effort. Sadly, I can’t recommend the service. In hindsight, we should’ve waited for our usual builder or done it ourselves—would’ve looked better and saved £1.25k. Nice guys, but not the professional finish we expected.

Michael Rose painted a bedroom and a largish bathroom for us. Michael's initial assessment and quote were excellent, and the work was completed to budget. They did an excellent job from start to finish. They were punctual, efficient, careful, and very thorough. We were delighted with the outcome, which was completed a day earlier than expected. It felt that nothing was too much trouble to get right. And communication with us was excellent throughout. Finally, it is a pleasure to have people working in the house who are simply nice people to have around!
