We contacted Mike Barrett as he is a Which? Trusted Trader in Liverpool, not knowing really what to expect in terms of cost, hours worked and so on. We had to wait six weeks for him to start. It was well worth the wait. He arrived on time, eight am, with all his equipment, started work and, apart from the occasional tea or coffee, carried on until five thirty pm. His standard of work was excellent, even to cleaning up after himself each day. We felt so secure with him, that we would go out and leave him to his work, knowing that he would not stop, or waste time. We bought the paint and he painted. As for cost, reasonable would be an understatement. We had budgeted for a couple of hundred more that he quoted, so couldn’t have been more pleased. He stuck to his quote. So, if you are in Liverpool, need a painter, go with Mike Barrett. No frills, no-nonsense, just honest, quality work at a decent price.

Mike wallpapered my rear room with reliefed anaglypta and then painted the walls, skirting boards etc. This was after thorough preparation. The end result? Perfection! I have used Mike's services before so knew what to expect

We hired Mike to decorate a nursery. He completed wallpaper stripping and a thorough preparation of the walls. He put up lining paper and painted the room, windows and and all woodwork. Mike was contracted to paint the entire hall of my house. The job lasted eleven days. He was extremely punctual, arriving at 0815 and leaving at 1800 every day. I cannot fault Mike's work. He is a consumate professional and the end result of his efforts is truly splendid. In fact it is the best decorating job I have ever experienced. We have used Mike a number of times and he is a fantastic decorator. Our hall was a difficult job with intricate coving and arches but Mike is meticulous in his work and we are extremely happy with the end result. Would highly recommend.

Mike is excellent and professional. He did a good job with stripping all the old wallpaper from our property. He was hard working, started early and left late, and was committed to the job. I was comfortable leaving him to work on the property and I didn't feel that I needed constant reassurances. He left the property in a clean condition.
