On meeting Mike Carroll I liked his calm and knowledgeable manner, and having chosen his company to do the works I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND using them. Mike’s team (project manager Scott; Andrew & Sam) arrived as planned and they replaced my old felt garage roof with a popular one made of rubber. I was kept in the loop regarding the various stages of the works and they were always polite and cheerful. They took all the old roofing material away, kept everywhere clean and tidy and showed great attention to detail. The finished roof looks fantastic and the other repairs look great too. The price quoted is the price I paid and I’m more than satisfied with that. I also received the guarantee for the roof the next day and I now have the peace of mind that leaks are a thing of the past!

Had Mike Carroll and his team do a lot of work on my property. Replacement Fascias, soffits and guttering to the whole house, together with replacing the leaking roof felt on my double length garage with fleece backed EPDM rubber membrane. The quote was competitive and I decided to opt for a dedicated roofing company rather than a double glazing company that also did fascias etc. The weather was very cold but the guys were all very cheery. The weather was also inclement and very windy at times causing one day to be cancelled but this was made up by having five members of the team on the next day, thus ensuring the work was all completed as quickly as possible. The site was kept tidy and cleared up at the end of each day. The rotting gable ends were replaced as well as the rotten garage roof boards. The option of having this done was mentioned in the original schedule and I took up this option at a reasonable cost after seeing the very poor state of the original wood once uncovered. The work was completed to a very high standard which looks excellent. My wife and I are very pleased. Had a couple of minor snags which is understandable with such a large job but these were rectified very promptly. This gives me great confidence about the after sales service. Nothing was too much trouble and I have enough confidence in Mike Carroll to recommend him and his team to anyone.

Mike Carroll kept us informed when bad weather delayed the job by two days. Scott and Alister turned up as advised every day, replaced our facias, soffits and guttering, plus additional cement and flat roof work. The site was keep clean and tidy and the guys kept us informed every step of the way. The guys were a utter joy and extremely helpful, and very respectful whilst on our neighbours property. The invoice was clear and concise exactly as quotation. The Guarantee was attached and l know that any problems or queries would be handled effectively and efficiently. Highly recommended.

Mike's team did a full replacement of soffits, fascias and guttering at my property. The team worked really hard in sometimes awful weather conditions. The job was priced competitively and carried out professionally. The team were receptive to some last-minute requests and carried them out. Mike visited site to check progress and check I was happy. The team were professional when setting up, when working and clearing up at the end of the job - everything was cleared away, swept, etc.

The job looks great and really compliments the recent repaint to the house. Mikes' team did a great quality job, clearly explaining everything that they were doing and planned to do. Nothing was too much trouble for them. We're very pleased.

We had a complete fascia, soffit and gutters replacement completed by Mike Carroll’s team in November 2020. Our 1920s property had lots of difficult angles, old rafters and very long gutter runs with narrow fascias so lots of challenges which Mike pointed out when he quoted for the work. When the work started Scott and the team worked hard, were totally professional and polite at all times, and were a pleasure to have on site. They kept us informed of what they were doing and about solutions to any issues they encountered. They were very clean and tidy, and particularly respectful when they needed access via next-door’s drive. We had to wait a few months for the work to be done as Mike was so busy which is a good sign! We would be happy for Mike to do other roofing work on our property in future. Highly recommended

Soffit, fascia and guttering replacement on multi-level, multi-angled "awkward" property. Service throughout has been excellent and professional from first enquiry, through site-survey, discussion/advice, quote, booking, planning and installation. Team friendly, polite, tidy, and diligent. Very unobtrusive and thoughtful. Organised themselves to remain Covid compliant and entirely independent of our household throughout. Am completely confident that we have benefitted from great service, a professional installation and good value. Highly recommend. (House looks vastly better now too!)

Very polite workers and work superficially good. Advised roof in good condition. Soon after departure found birds trying to build a nest there. On investigation found gaps in bird stop in three of the four corners of the roof and old downpipe brackets left attached. Poor response from Mike where I got can’t come due “very busy” “short staffed” “must be something wrong with your roof”. Offered day where I was not at home and have heard nothing since, “you don’t need to be there”. Somewhat flippant.

Fast and tidy work and stuck to agreed quote. Very friendly and helpful crew on site. Workmanship looks solid at final inspection.

Having contacted Mike after a brush with a competitor who I felt was trying to take advantage I am so pleased that you I managed to find the right team to help me. I was really pleased with the quick and efficient way the team worked and kept me informed on what was happening. It is hard to pick up the phone to a new contact but I wouldn't hesitate to call them again if I need anything else

Gutters, fascias and soffits replaced. Work commenced on date agreed and completed on schedule. Friendly and polite workforce, treating customers and neighbours with respect. Work completed to a very high standard and left site clean & tidy. Slight problem connecting to neighbours guttering became apparent on rainfall but this was rectified completely within a couple of hours of reporting. Neighbour commented "that is excellent customer service !"

Very please with Mike and his team, very nice bunch of people. They took my concrete gutters out and replaced with new pvc guttering and fascia boards. We were expecting more mess with the removal of the old gutters but there was no evidence they had ever been when they left. Can’t complain about the cost, not the cheapest quote we got but I’m glad we decided to go with them as the finish looks much better than a neighbour that had it done on the cheap… Would recommend highly.

We have been delighted with the work completed by the team who arrived in a timely manner each day and completed the job to replace all the guttering to a highly expert and professional standard. We have received compliments from neighbours about the little added extras that were included in our job compared to the ones that they had completed. Mike and his team installed new fascias, gutters and some new felt to a flat roof above a Utility room in 2015. Excellent people to deal with and very professional and good workers, leaving the place clean and tidy. Some minor repairs were required to a leaking gutter, and a downpipe had come adrift from the gutter above. A phone to Mike Carroll set the repair in motion. Seven days later a team of two arrived, after phoning to make sure I was in. Quickly and efficiently repaired the leaking gutter with a 'new union joint' and sorted the downpipe which had come adrift from the gutter area. Good work by Scott and his assistant. Thanks.

Having just had our fascia, soffits and guttering replaced by Mike’s team, we are very pleased with the results. The team from Mike Carroll Ltd have recently completed the installation of rubber roofing to my two large high-level dormer windows and a single storey extension, replacing 40-year-old zinc roofs. When Mike came to assess the job and to measure for the quotation, I was so impressed with his approach and attitude that I never bothered to get another quote - if you feel confidence in someone then that to me is more important than trying to get a cheaper price. Once the job had started, Scott and his team carried out the work in a thoroughly professional way. They were clean, methodical and moreover took care around the property to minimise damage to planting and areas around where they worked. Each day they arrived on time (mostly early!) and discussed with me, before they started, what they expected to complete that day. There was never any shouting, swearing or loud music, just quiet 'banter' and discussions about what to do and how, which was appreciated in a quiet area. I was a Chartered Building Surveyor and Construction Project Manager during my working career and appreciate Scott's in-depth knowledge of his trade and his approach to the work - you get to know when someone knows what they are doing and just gets on with it, giving confidence in their ability. This attitude to doing a good job and listening to the customer seems to have been instilled into the whole workforce (at least the ones I saw) and they are all a credit to the company.

Mike Carroll Ltd were recommended by another builder who could not take on our job for a year or so. The job was wholly renewing the verge cement and refitting the roof tiles, etc, for three roof pitches at our house. Mike came promptly to produce an estimate, said he could not do it for three months as he was fully booked and gave us a date in September. Three days before he phoned to say the weather was not good and gave us a new date three days hence. each day Scott, who was to do the work, phoned and emailed to let us know that the approved day was still on. Scott and James arrived and did the work in two days. They were friendly, very efficient and cheerful. They were a pleasure to have around and kept everything tidy. All old cement was removed and disposed of cleanly. The cement mixing was contained in a plastic lipped tray and after they had cleaned up, hosed the pavings, etc, everything was clean as a whistle. I thoroughly recommend this firm and indeed I have requested an estimate for further work. It was good to work with an utterly trustworthy builder whose employees are cheerful, polite and highly professional.

I was delighted with the work completed by the team working for Mike Carroll Ltd. They arrived on time and from the start, tackled the job with enthusiasm, confidence and considerable expertise, even though the job - to install the new gutters, fascias and soffits - involved additional challenges, like having to gain access to the edge of the roof over an existing conservatory. The men were polite and hardworking and there were no additional charges, as the invoice was for exactly the amount that had been quoted. I thoroughly recommend Mike Carroll and his company and couldn't have asked for better contractors.

After having several people quote for a full shed reroof Mike Carroll was the only one to quote an acceptable price including legal disposal of arisings which was not the case with marginally cheaper quotes and much less than the highest. Quote came quickly with the caveat that, due to workload, there was no certainty of being done sooner rather than later. Subsequently given a date in November but got called to say a team could do the work last week. I was happy to agree and 3 guys Alastair Sam and Tom came at 0800 and left mid afternoon having replaced the old roof with neat and tidy new boarding and rubber surface guaranteed for 20 years and a 2 year guarantee on workmanship. Everything was cleared away and they kept me informed about what they were doing so I remained happy. I would be very happy to use the company again.
