We used Modern Movers for a move in June 2026. The crew — Mimoun, Ali and Francis — were excellent, professional and hardworking, and we said so at the time. Unfortunately, one bookcase was destroyed during the move — the entire side panel split lengthwise — and a second was damaged. Both were less than ten months old. What followed was weeks of bad faith complaints handling. The destroyed bookcase cost £70 to replace. Their opening offer was £40 — below their own contractual liability cap of £50 per item. Despite photographic evidence, and confirmation in writing that repair was impossible, and escalation their own dispute resolution scheme, their position never moved beyond £50 for both items combined. No apology was ever offered at any point. The managing director handled the complaint personally. His responses were dismissive, relied on arguments contradicted by his own terms and conditions, and never reflected good faith engagement with a legitimate claim. The matter is now being pursued through the County Court. The crew were great. The company is another matter entirely

A top notch moving company.
Modern Movers were fantastic from start to finish. I have moved three times in the past seven years, twice internationally and once here in the UK, and they are easily the best team I have worked with. They were kind, diligent and incredibly fast, but what really stood out was their human approach. They understood that we are a family with children in the house and they showed real awareness and care throughout the day. It is rare to find a moving team that combines efficiency with genuine warmth, but they managed both. I would recommend them without hesitation.

Excellent would happily recommend Imran and his crew of Ali, Prem, Deandre and of course Karina for organising everything. I had large equipment to fit into a glass fronted shop. After speaking to Karina, I felt these guys were the best to perform the move. They were punctual, flexible, fast and respectful. Most important the crew seemed to be enjoying themselves as they worked.

Modern Movers assisted us with transporting a large quantity of fashion retail equipment and products for a VIP preview at Pagnell's in Mayfair. This was a substantial job requiring careful handling to ensure all items were moved safely and securely. They took great care with fragile equipment, using secure wrapping and packing to prevent any damage. Their customer service and booking process are exceptional efficient, flexible, and always accommodating our needs. The drivers are punctual and ensure timely deliveries, while the staff are reliable and trustworthy. We have confidently left valuable items in their care without any issues. I had a great experience! I needed help moving all my belongings to my new flat and I was shocked at how fast and easy Malik made it. It was completely stress free and very smooth. I can't recommend Modern Movers highly enough! Moving can be stressful, but this experience was completely hassle-free. From the start, Karina provided excellent customer service, sending me a quote within an hour of our conversation. On moving day, Ray and Mimoun arrived on time, handled everything with professionalism, and ensured all my belongings reached their destination safely. They treated each item with great care, confirmed all delivery details, and had an efficient system in place making the third-floor move (without a lift) seem effortless. Just two hours later, everything was unloaded at the new location. A truly seamless experience!
