Mojo Decor

We had not met Matt or needed a decorator before having always tackled our own decorating. However with several large spaces to re-decorate (2 bedrooms, hall, stairs and landing) we decided to seek help from a professional service. We are so glad we chose Matt and his son to do this work. In our opinion they provide a high quality service with a smile and turn up when they say they will! Our home is transformed! We certainly would recomend them and have already booked them to return to do some more work for us in 2024.

Mojo Décor is Matt Oliver. Matt Oliver has completed the external repainting of our house and a timber-clad outbuilding. The work was to previously painted brickwork, softwood doors and window frames, facias and soffits and the renovation of oak window sub-frames. Preparation included temporary removal and refixing of plastic guttering. Matt quoted for the work in March and gave me a start date at the end of June. He arrived on the scheduled date indicating a well planned program of work. The quality of repainting is very much determined by the quality of preparation. Matt is meticulous and thorough with preparation. I was particularly keen that the preparation/renovation of oak window frames and doors was thorough, and the end result was immaculate. He is the only painter that I have ever met who comes prepared with his own moisture meter to check the damp content to timber prior to commencing repainting. Matt painted a stairwell and landing plus ceilings with a double height bit of wall for us. The work took 3 days including prepping surfaces and multiple coats as well as having to manage some aging plaster that wasn't in the best condition. End result is pretty much exactly what I hoped for - a better finish than we could DIY and Matt was very friendly, polite and respectful of the space while on site. For value, I admit I didn't shop around and might have found someone else to do it cheaper, but for 3 days work from someone who takes pride in doing a good job it seemed like a fair price. Very pleased and will certainly keep Mojo Decor in mind should we need any further painting work.

We had several rooms decorated, including the hall/stairs/landing and switching from dark wood stain to light paint. This was all carried out thoroughly with careful preparation. Matt works hard but is considerate and unobtrusive, very adaptable to suit our preferences. He is always reliable and prompt. We are very pleased with the result.

When I asked Matt to paint the whole of the exterior of our house, I'd already seen his work so had high hopes regarding the quality I could expect. He beat all of those expectations and produced an excellent piece of work in a three-week project. Matt's attention to detail is phenomenal. For example, I've never seen an exterior decorator who takes down and cleans the gutters to give a better final finish on the paintwork. Whether he was working on large areas of white rendering or the intricacies of a folding garage door, everything was completed to the highest standard. He also never forgot a single thing as he maintains a careful list of what has to be done and his customers preferences. I would happily recommend Matt to anyone.

We asked Matt to paint all the rooms in the house plus some exterior walls and masonry. He provided a clear and comprehensive quote, reasonably priced, which we were happy to accept. Matt was always punctual and worked extremely hard each day. He was very professional, preparing all the surfaces very carefully which contributed hugely to the excellent painted finish - and tidying up at the end of each day. He is a good communicator - always keeping us up to date on progress and talking us through what he was to do each day. He was also very patient and helpful when dealing with our questions. Matt completed the work to schedule and budget and he did a fantastic job - the place has not looked this good in years! It's not easy having somebody working in your house each day but Matt was friendly and polite and it was genuinely a real pleasure to have him around. Very highly recommended.

Matt came to decorate two of our bedrooms. we were very impressed about the time he took to prepare and the quality of the finished work was extremely good. He even returned a couple of days later to make good some slight imperfections that became apparent (that was due to the quality of the previous paintwork. He was punctual, tidy, communicated effectively with us by e-mail and we have already asked for a quote for further work later in the year. We can most definitely recommend.

I would highly recommend Matt, I am fussy and he exceeded my expectations! His work was accurate and of high quality and very tasteful. He spent a lot of time on preparation and this paid dividends. Matt carried out a large decorating job on several large rooms in my house recently. The work was done to a very high standard and he was reliable, clean and tidy and considerate. I was very pleased with the result and he went over and above to ensure that I was happy with the work done. Matt carried out external decoration to the walls and windows of our Grade 2 listed cottage. The work was of a consistent high standard, thorough and painstaking and we were very pleased indeed with the result. Every aspect of the work was carried out very professionally and tidily. We have been using Matt from Mojo Decor for the last 3 years since first reading his excellent reviews on this site. He has worked on painting and decorating all the rooms in our seven bedroom home, both inside and out . He has just completed 3 more bedrooms for us to his usual meticulous standards. Matt is a craftsman in his own right. His eye for detail is notable and he is exceptionally skilled in his work. Whether wallpapering, painting or doing small repairs to plaster work, his finish is of the highest possible standard. He has also amazed us with seamless repairs to torn wallpaper, which we thought could never be fixed. Even with the messiest of jobs, he has always left our home in tip top shape at the end of each day, and we have even come home to find him washing the floors, such is his neat and thoughtful method of working. He is considerate, punctual, conscientious, trustworthy (he has a key to our home) and above all a thoroughly nice person . This is the kind of tradesman who sets the bar for all others and we are incredibly lucky to have found him.

Matt has just completed decorating our lounge he has done a fantastic job. Matt is a very approachable person who is willing to take time to explain what he is doing which is very comforting. He is always punctual, has a pleasant personality, has a very clean and tidy work environment and comes in on budget what more could you want. Mojo Decor is highly recommended, the work is outstanding, pricing is good and always finished on time (if not before). They always price by the work/job not by the hour, so you know exactly what the cost is before they Start. Matt works to a high standard and has great attention to detail. we would not use anyone else for our decorating needs.

Apart from being one of the most courteous traders I have worked with, Matt is also a skilled decorator. The work was of a high standard and was completed quicker than expected. Matt was neat and tidy too. He made good suggestions and asked questions throughout his work to make sure he understood what we wanted.
