I have had many leaks on my roof and spent quite a lot on repairs that never permanently solved the problems. I decided to replace the roof and sought a reputable company to carry out the replacement. I have discovered that roofing is a minefield of incompetence and charlatans. As a subscriber to "Which" I used the Which Trusted Trader website and found Moston Roofing. James from Moston impressed with his knowledge and advice. He provided a detailed quote and a timetable for the work which I accepted. The work has been carried out to the highest standard. I was kept informed at all stages what was being done and why. James, Barry and Tyler worked incredibly hard and were really lovely people to have around. The logistics were also handled very well, delivery of materials, scaffolding, skip, etc and the clear up afterwords. I cannot recommend this company highly enough. I never thought I would give anyone a five star review in all categories but they richly deserve it.

I cannot recommend this company highly enough. From first contact with the office to a prompt callback from James, and then a quick turnaround of the job, the customer experience is superb. James and the team got on with the job immediately when they arrived, and the front garden was left clean and tidy on completion. The job itself is fantastic. We reached out to James at Moston Roofing following some leaks on our valleys due to a poor quality new roof by the previous owners. From previous experience with roofing work, I wanted a proper job, so looked for companies registered with the Confederation of Roofing Contractors, and came across Moston Roofing. James popped around and explained a few approaches, trying to minimise costs for us while doing a proper job in unpredictable autumn weather. We had a couple of other quotes and Moston came out competitively priced, and James clearly knew his stuff. I read the reviews on Which, Checkatrade etc and my only concern was that all the 5* ratings seemed too good to be true! However... Moston absolutely delivered on the job, managing to fit us in 2 weeks earlier due to a cancellation and our pressing need to fix the leaks. They worked in a tidy manner and replaced the lead work promptly, and gave us a few options along the way. They also replaced our front guttering and downpipes, which was a bit complex due to the shape and roof height. James has popped back a couple of times to double-check the mortar had set and the gutters are draining, to ensure that they have done a job to last. He is a great communicator and very honest and easy to work with. I would use again without question... but would rather not have a 3rd roof to fix!

James was informative and explained what was needed and how he would do it. After stripping the old felt from the flat roof he decided that a different solution was more appropriate with no change in cost (Materials and time would be the same.) All the other jobs were completed. He identified that the ridge tiles were all loose, which is not surprising given the age of the house. He made an additional quote and completed that at the same time as everything else. The team cleaned and tided each day. Whilst they were on the roof they replaced a few chipped tiles which was great of them.

James and his team produced a great result after putting in a lot of effort and work to get beyond problems encountered with the roof tiling that they discovered under the old ridges. The main aspects for me was the true desire to do the job right with attention to detail with clear and regular communication throughout. Reliability, honesty and integrity were at the forefront and time keeping was great. The agreed price remained the same irrespective of the difficulties experienced with the job. It’s great to find such professionals. Many thanks to James and his team who were also great guys.

Superb, top quality and ultra professional service from James and the boys. A new roof, gutters and insulation all done within 3 days. Fantastic. A brilliant all round job and we would recommend Moston Roofing 100%.

James and the team undertook work on our roof, fascia’s and guttering. They were professional, diligent and James was first class at keeping us updated on progress on a daily basis. It was a big job, but the team were always cheerful and hard working, despite the vagaries of the weather at times! James was constantly checking on the quality of the work to ensure it met his high expectations. At the end of each day the area was cleaned and swept to an amazing standard! I cannot recommend this company high enough. If I could give more than 5 stars I would.

I came across James when I needed a report of what my gutter problem was, as I was getting conflicting reports from different roofers and a poor job from the last one who replaced my gutter. James wrote a comprehensive report with photos explaining the problem, and despite the neighbours lack of cooperation found a solution for my house gutter and replaced a few dislodged tiles in the process. I found James very friendly and helpful and ready to go the extra mile. I strongly recommend him without hesitation.
