Neil and his colleague changed the cable of my home car charger. They were able to fit the job in earlier than anticipated when the parts arrived early. Great professional work which I’m very pleased with. They use an app which allows you to see them travelling to your home which ensured I wasn’t away at the time they called. Neil came the same day I called as a fluorescent fixture was blowing protection all other lights on the system were not working, He installed a new fixture and got everything working very quickly. Contacted NEIL BROWN Electrical with the view to upgrading our fuse box/consumer unit. They responded within 30 mins and after a bit of back and forth via email I was absolutely clear what the process would be. Booked a full EICR (Electrical installation condition report) to establish the state of my home electrical system. Neil turned up on the arranged day and after a quick look at the existing set up let me know his initial thoughts (great way to make sure I was under no illusions of what to expect). After this he and his apprentice went to work and spent several hours going around all of the switches, sockets and fittings efficiently and in great detail. Despite being in the house most of the day there was very little inconvenience to ourselves. He finished the day by outlining the next steps and followed up within 48 hours with the full (detailed) report plus his recommendations. We now have a plan to upgrade which will happen soon. Overall the experience was very professional and low impact despite the level of work involved.

I contacted Neil electrician following an advert I saw in the Local Shopper leaflet and after online research showed his very high review score. His office contacted me very promptly and arranged a date for him to attend and provide a quote. All of this was backed up with confirmation emails and texts. He attended to give me a quote and to carry out the work all within the agreed time frame and he even sent me text messages with an estimate of how many minutes away he was. Very efficient. The invoices arrived promptly and was easy to pay. The standard of work was very high and it didn't take him long. First ever tradesman I have booked for a certain date and time and they not only arrived on time but sent a tracking message detailing where they were 20 min before. Excellent work, very efficient, clean and tidied up after. Very mannerly and work completed was excellent.

Neil has good administrative support so it was easy to make the appointment. It was made clear that the call out and labour fee would be £90 minimum. I had a reminder email a couple of days before and advice that Neil was on his way on the morning. Neil arrived on time, was friendly and polite and quickly diagnosed and remedied the problem with our dimming lights. I was able to pay by card and received the invoice by email. Neil initially carried out a full electrical installation condition report (EICR) on my property and completed work following the report, installing a new fuse board, smoke detectors, flood lights and issuing a certification. On contacting the office, I received a prompt response, was given a date and time for the work and an explanation of the costing structure. Two days prior to the appointment, I received a confirmation message and, on the day, a further message advising me Neil was 11 minutes away. Neil installed a new fuse board, new double sockets, switched a few single sockets to doubles and upgraded the wiring on the ground floor. He arrived on time and his work was excellent. Because I had asked for a bit of extra work Neil was running late for his next job. He wasn't happy with the clean up and returned at 8.30 the following morning with vacuum cleaner and brush and pan and cleaned everywhere that he had been working on the previous day even though it wasn't that bad. Neil came to fix a broken socket, and quickly identified where the problem originated- he was friendly, professional, efficient, and I would gladly have him do any further electrical work I might need. I also appreciated his appointment confirmation email and text message when he was en route.

To set the scene, I had moved into a new house, unfortunately, the extractor fan over the kitchen cooking island was not working well. Neil managed to extract the fault machinery, then worked to get the replacement in place. Unfortunately, the specs on the kit had changed, so I had to source a new motor. Once this was acquired Neil managed to fit it quickly and swap necessary parts to save having to cut more holes in the shroud around it. On the day, Neil texted to let me know he was on his way and arrived right on time in his van with a nice logo on it. The work done was replacing a bathroom light pull switch and sorting out the dodgy wiring behind a bathroom mirror with two fitted wall lights. Although running only slightly late, Neil texted me twice to keep me informed of his arrival time. He was friendly, polite and evidently committed to high standards. This was the second time I've contacted Neil for assistance and on both occasion the service was top-notch. This time the dishwasher wall switch was playing up and following reporting of the problem Neil got back to me quickly, both to ascertain what the issue was and to arrange an appointment for the next day. I had Neil out before before Christmas and done a great job then. I needed a new door bell fitted but with COVID19 on we agreed a date for him to give me estimate. Got the estimate then agreed for Neil to start he came over and did a great job also the day before my security light wasn't working. Neil , fitted a new double point/USB socket in a bedroom, requiring tracking of an outside wall. He came when he said he would and did a first class job. Neil carried out EICR checks & fitted a new Consumer unit in our house. He also set-up the wiring and isolator unit for the fitting of an electric power shower. There were a few other small issues with the wiring that we weren't initially aware of, but he fixed those as well. Great job and the house was left as he found it!
