Neil and his colleagues fitted a heat pump and heat battery, replacing our old gas boiler and very ancient hot water and cold water tanks. He overcame quite a few unexpected issues and fitted new radiators, new tanks and the heat pump efficiently and with minimum mess. It took us a few weeks to get used to it and to understand the control system, but it has worked well throughout this recent very cold spell and the house has been warm and comfortable. I would certainly use Neil and his company in the future and recommend him to others.

Neil installed our first boiler over 12 years ago when our old boiler packed in, the house was freezing and I had a 6 month baby in the house. He has looked after us ever since. Always reliable, professional and ready to help. I have no hesitation in recommending Neil and NCC. I wouldn't trust anyone else near our heating!

We moved house at the end of November & I noticed the pressures on our boiler were all over the place. I found Neil through Which Trusted Traders & he came out to advise on the day I phoned him. He took time to talk me through the system & why the boiler might’ve been behaving like it was. As he was leaving he saw we had gas fires & gave us advice on how to use them safely (which we weren’t doing!). Two days before Christmas our boiler died. Neil came over to make sure the gas & electrics to the boiler were safe and then said he would come over to install a new boiler as soon as the trade re-opened after Christmas. He gave us a couple of boiler options and explained the main differences. He was then at our house at 8am on 27th December. We’re very happy with our new boiler & the work Neil has done. On top of that he’s a lovely bloke & I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending him to family & friends. We will definitely use Neil to do our annual boiler servicing and for any other plumbing jobs.

Earlier in the year we were given the diagnosis that a water pipe had burst under our ground floor, necessitating the lifting of the entire ground floor area. It gave us the opportunity to get rid of the radiators and put in underfloor heating using a water pipe system. This choice was sensible because our house has very high ceilings on the ground floor and radiators never gave us effective heating. Because this was a large job, we checked out Which Trusted Traders and interviewed numerous firms before deciding on NCC South East Ltd, owned by Neil Cornes. His no-nonsense approach and clear explanations gave us confidence. Neil quoted a competitive price but also clearly explained the procedure, quality of materials used and why, how it would work & the time frame needed. He was always on time, kept us informed at every stage of the job Neil worked closely with our tiling contractor to ensure the existing floor was removed to the correct level for the water pipes removal of of the tiles and our kitchen, dug down to the level recommended and provided advice as required. The pipes and system went in, the tiles and wood flooring were laid and the system switched on.....bliss. Neil did his work on time and gave us great advice and service before, during and after the work was done; even helping us with plumbing matters unrelated to the underfloor heating. We would highly recommend him and his company.

Neil fitted a new boiler in my house about 12 years ago and has been coming to service it since then. He has also replaced and moved radiators over the years, come out for a leaking radiator and supervised the moving of the boiler when I had a loft extension built. He always charges a fair price, gets the work done quickly and leaves the place tidy afterwards. Highly recommended!

Neil installed our central heating system way back in 2009 and since then does a yearly service beside other plumbing services. Always professional, courteous and reliable - immediately spotting the problem and resolving it at reasonable cost. Would recommend his company as we have done with family and friends. The added bonus is his cheeky jokes and does everything with a smile!

Hi, Niel and his colleague replaced my old leaking water tank , and installed a 210ltr indirect mega flow. Niel gave me some great advice, didn't push me in buying an expensive one, and was fast in giving me a date for the job. Everything went smoothly, they did a brilliant and very tidy job. Our boiler broke on Christmas morning - Neil came out to give us a quote on Boxing Day and fitted the new boiler the next day! As we have a young baby, the speed with which he could fit the new boiler was really appreciated. The price for the boiler and work was fair, again especially for how fast he was able to do the job and the quality of the guarantee. Neil and his team were friendly throughout and did a great job! I'd thoroughly recommend them.

Neil supplied and installed our new boiler as well as replacing all our old radiators. We found him highly dependable and trustworthy. He is friendly, patient and ever ready to help and replies to all queries promptly. He does not shy away from going the extra mile. We were very satisfied with the professional job done by Neil and his team We first encountered Neil by chance whilst he was working nearby. When we approached him about our broken down old boiler, he happily repaired it and was willing to come back on more than two occasions to get it working again. All this he did for no charge. As a result we entrusted him with replacing our daughter's boiler which he did extremely well. We certainly have no hesitation in recommending him and his team to anyone.

When our boiler broke down, I contacted Neil and he came that evening on his way home after work to fix the problem. Incredibly polite and professional, he diagnosed the problem really quickly, had a spare motor in his van and had fixed the system within an hour. After a series of issues with our solar and underfloor heating, it was such a relief when a neighbour recommended Neil. He sorted out both the original problem and the problems created by other people trying to fix it. Since then, he has also fitted a new boiler and upgraded my shower. It makes such a difference to find someone who knows exactly what they are doing and whose advice I trust completely. He goes above and beyond, finding time to do any necessary adjustments, even when very busy. I am particularly grateful for the time I was home unwell recently, with sub zero temperatures outside, and the heating playing up. Neil fixed it straight away and hurried on to other jobs before I had time to thank him properly. So thank you Neil!

Neil fitted our replacement gas boiler in January 2022. He serviced it January 2023 and we are very happy with the service he provided. In May this year, we were away on holiday when my son (home alone) rang to say there was no hot water. At 9.30pm I texted Neil to see when he might be available for advice or if necessary to visit as we were not due back for several days. He interrupted his evening to respond and after asking a few questions, explained that the error code showed an external interruption in the gas supply, had caused the boiler to shut down. With his help, I was able to talk my son through the process of relighting the boiler and normal service was resumed. We can not thank him enough for his kindness and our holiday was saved.

Neil researched every detail and comprehensively explained what would be required and how it would be achieved. He and his team were communicative, punctual extraordinarily hardworking and very skilled. We had received a number of dismal summaries about the work that would be required in replacing our boiler, but Neil set about the matter in a determined and calmly confident manner and his experience and skill was self evident.

The annual service of my old boiler showed that the heat exchanger was failing. Neil explained the cost differential of a repair against a replacement boiler without any pressure to go with the more expensive option. He also explained the benefits of a new boiler and talked me through the changes that would be made to the valves and controllers in my house. The new boiler was fitted and commissioned in the same day and all of the rubbish was removed from site. Our house was left clean and tidy. There were no unexpected additional charges and the job was completed as quoted. The boiler that was fitted was a very new design and we did need a visit from the manufacturer’s service engineer to enable all of the remote control functions but Neil made sure that this was done the very next day and he was also in attendance to check that I was happy with the result. I would happily recommend NCC South East Ltd to my friends and family.

NCC quoted speedily and efficiently, realising what was required and the best options available. We had Solar Water panels, a new cylinder and a new boiler fitted which involved upgrading the entire system. The work was carried out in practical stages to ensure the minimum of disruption and we were kept fully informed about what was happening, and why, throughout.
