We had a new gas boiler installed last year and from the quoting by Nigel to the fitting by Matthew and John they did a great job from start to finish. Everything went smoothly and nothing was too much trouble. They were neat and professional and made sure that the job was completed on time and was left neat and tidy. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again and I highly recommend them.

I contacted Nigel Stoves Heating and plumbing when our boiler hot water was going hot and cold. Kris gave us an estimate for fix and service and came out the next day. He has a professional friendly manner and the work was thorough and carried out to a very high standard and completed within a couple of hours. Our 10 year old boiler is now like new. The bill was exactly as quoted. I would highly recommend them and will definitely be using again.

Matthew, John and Kristopher had been to our home before when our old boiler was limping to its end. The time came when we needed a whole new system to be installed, which was a little more complex than the average home. There were no hidden costs, the quality of their work seems very high end, they were very professional, courteous and respectful of our home. They were here for 3 days and always left the area they were in working tidy. They even painted the wall where the old boiler was removed from, which is above and beyond expected. They disposed of everything. There was not a scrap of dirt or old equipment left. They were punctual, arriving when they said they would, they said it would take 3 days, and it did. They explained everything and even programmed the thermostats for us. I am going to use them to service the boiler and system each year. I would highly recommend them.

Nigel's team did a great job of installing a new boiler for my elderly Mother, came out same day as the breakdown and fitted it the next day. They removed the old boiler and fitted the new one in one day and did a brilliant job of cleaning up. Nigel has always been 100% reliable over the years and has completed numerous jobs all with the same high quality workmanship. Excellent service - would highly recommend.

After boiler failure and the pending retirement of my usual plumber I needed to find a registered vitodens plumbing company . Nigel Stoves were recommended to me by the manufacture . I subsequently contacted them and they responded very quickly via a arranged home visit .This confirmed that at the age of 15 years the boiler was in need of replacement .I was provided with a clear explanation of what needed to be replaced along with a quotation with a breakdown of the costs which I considered to be very competitive which I accepted The work was arranged within a few days and carried out on the agreed date by Mathew and John of the company .I found them to be very pleasant , highly proficient, and extremely tidy in carrying out the work .As both my wife and I are now elderly we were pleased to find this family both reassuring and professional to deal with,. We would highly recommend Nigel Stoves as excellent plumbers and gas fitters

I don't usually leave reviews, however, I was so impressed with the service i just had to. The home visit was professional, reasonably priced and well explained both verbally and written. The installation was faultless and done by Matthew and John. I liked the fact they are a family business and their pride in the job and attention to detail was excellent. My twelve year guarantee registration and gas safe certificate was with me the same day as completion.

I contacted Nigel in December 2022 and asked for a quote to fit a new boiler. Nigel came around the next day and inspected the old boiler to see if a Viessmann boiler would be suitable and would fit where the old boiler was installed. We had a coffee and a chat and booked a date. 3 Weeks later, Matthew and John turned up with the new boiler; they had the old one out and the new one in before lunch. They were very friendly & professional and left no mess. I would highly recommend Nigel Stoves, and I will use them in future for any servicing.

I first contacted Nigel Stoves in the Autumn of 2021 for a survey and estimate for a replacement boiler, as my old one was 30 years old, and was in imminent need of replacement. Because of Covid-19 the job was delayed until I contacted Nigel again in September 2022. He proposed a couple of minor technical changes, and a slight change to the original estimate, which was fine. A date was agreed for the work to be done in October 2022. Mathew and John came to do the work over two days. They both liaised with me in what they proposed to do and got on straight away with the job. The new Viessman boiler and copper pipework look great. The new re-routed flue in the loft and through the roof looks good and well secured, as well as the electrical work and new replacement hall and a bedroom radiator with new thermostatic valves. Mathew and John work in a good professional way, with attention to detail. They did a great job. I would recommend them.

Absolutely brilliant came on time, lovely clean lads no mess, did what they said they would do. Would highly recommend them and are definitely at the top of my list for all plumbing requirements. They will be coming back at some point to do my bathroom. Thank you Chris

We had a new boiler installed, the installers (2) arrived on time and got straight on with the job,after installation was complete they tested to make sure everything was o/k. they did an excellent job of the installation. No mess or fuss and in budget , the installers were polite and good clean workers. Would recommend.

They stripped out re-organised and replaced our bathroom. The work was carried out to a very high standard and nothing was to much trouble for them. They worked from the time they arrived in the morning until they finished late afternoon. Whilst carrying out this work they discovered that our heating boiler was faulty and dangerous, they immediately arranged a new boiler came back the next day and fitted it. I can not speak highly enough about Nigel Stoves Plumbing and Heating and I would have no hesitation in recommending this company to anyone.

With a reputable and efficient boiler product, it was my wish to use a local company with a good reputation company for supply installation, so I chose Nigel Stoves, and I am happy with that choice. Matthew, John and Kris were polite and friendly and always consulted with us during their work progress in the two and a half days they were at our house. The forty three years old gas boiler and flue pipe were removed from the kitchen, and the new Viessman boiler fitted into the upstairs airing cupboard, together with a new cylinder. A new radiator was fitted in the kitchen. The old pipework required quite a change in its layout and I was very satisfied with the quality of the new plumbing and the work done to repair any wall and floor work to access the old plumbing.

From planning and designing the installation to final completion the service was professional, efficient and timely with minimal disruption. Matt and John replaced the central heating boiler, moving it from the downstairs loo to the garage. the replaced the hot water tank on the landing and removed the tank from the loft. Carpet and floor protectors were applied before work commenced and they cleaned and tidied as they worked. All rubbish was taken away. The job was completed within two days, We are entirely satisfied with the quality of service received and cannot recommend highly enough.

I have been very satisfied with a number of smaller jobs carried out by the Nigel Stoves Company and therefore had no fears of the standard of work they produce. I received a competitive quote to replace and reposition an old combi boiler with a quality Viessmann unit. The work was carried out in the allotted time by Matthew and John in a very clean and tidy manner, which was followed upon completion by a full explanation of the working of the system.

Once the decision was made to replace our 40 year old oil fired boiler with a gas boiler, contacting Nigel Stoves was the obvious choice as he had sorted our oil boiler in the past and it had run without failing for 18 years. After contact by email Nigel called and discussed options and we decided on a new system boiler. The quote was hand delivered the next day and a provisional start date agreed for the end of February to allow our oil stock to be run down and a new gas meter installed. The gas meter was in on 15 February and a start date of 21 February agreed. Matthew and John arrived on time on the promised day and set to work with a will. Within two working days the job was complete to a very high standard. Throughout we were kept fully informed and on completion, the control of the system via a smart phone app was fully explained. What could have been a job creating mess and disturbance was completed mess free and with minimum disturbance. The final cost was as expected without any surprises. We were warned about the possibility of a low pressure alarm being activated and how to respond. This duly happened and while the instructions Matthew provided to resolve the problem worked perfectly, we were very impressed that Matthew and John arrived without being called at 08:00 the next morning to check all was well. We think that Nigel Stoves Plumbing and Heating provided a first class service and we would has no hesitation in recommending them to anyone.

After a tap burst and I was in need of a new mixer tap fitting I called Nigel Stoves who fitted me in within the week, on arrival the lads found it to be trickier than expected and some extra work needed this didn’t phase them and they stayed longer than expected to make sure I was left with running water again! The lads left the place clean and took all the rubbish away with them definitely recommended for great service, quick response and they won’t take your eyes out!

Nigel Stove and his guys (Matthew and John) did a fantastic job of taking out the old boiler and hot water tank and the tanks in the loft. They removed all the old pipes from the previous system and reconfigured all the pipes under the floorboards. Matthews' pipework is very neat and tidy and is a pleasure to look at. John did a good job with the electrics again very neat and tidy. Both Matthew and John worked very hard and were very tidy and had good housekeeping no mess at all. They cleaned up as they went along. All the rubbish was taken away. These guys are very professional and are nice people to talk to as well. I am very pleased with their work and would recommend them. Chris did a good job commissioning the boiler and connecting it to my phone. It has worked perfectly even from over in the Lake District.

Competitive quote with the best Viessmann combi boiler installed for our detached home, and a larger lounge radiator fitted. Start date was agreed and work completed promptly and very neatly with a First Class friendly service. System fully tested and all certificates supplied on completion with a full 12 year warranty. Invoiced afterwards at the estimated cost. Cannot recommend this specialist enough.

This company are extremely trustworthy and know their trade. They complete tasks in the time frame they give and within the budget they quoted their workmanship is excellent and they make a neat and tidy job to the highest of standard. The workforce are always helpful and explain everything in simple terms with no jargon. I would not use any other plumbers going forward. We had a previous installation using a different plumber and this was not satisfactory, they rectified the problem without any issues.

We got in touch with Nigel to discuss the replacement of our old boiler. We definitely chose the right firm to do the job because throughout we couldn't fault them at all. As well as installing the new boiler, they also had to identify and deal with problems associated with the original wiring. Matthew and John expertly removed the old boiler and replaced it with the latest Veissmann model. They were very knowledgeable and professional but as importantly, approachable, answering any questions we had about the installation. My wife especially was appreciative of their manner due to negative experiences we have had in the past with other firms! When the job was finished everything was left tidy with all waste taken away. Nigel came back a few days later to answer a couple of questions that we had, nothing was too much trouble for him. I can totally recommend them to do a quality and professional job. I will certainly be using them for any future work.

Having used this company for a routine boiler service in the past I was aware of the level of skill and service to expect. On this occasion, it was a much larger and more involved job of converting from a conventional boiler with a gravity system to a stand-alone combi-storage system. The Veissmann Vitodens 222F is a fantastic unit that has a standard 3yr warranty, however by using an approved Veissmann trained installer this was extended to a magnificent 12yrs all arranged and registered by Stoves. As the job involved so much work around my home the first thing Matt and John did was protect all carpets and flooring, great care was taken in all areas to ensure a clean, damage free removal and installation. Consideration was given to the most efficient and least intrusive installation from utility room to airing cupboard, this included choosing a new route for the gas supply, etc which was all done internally and out of sight. Even the location for the new flue was discussed and considered for the best external aesthetic look for the outside of the property. Where the old unit was removed the external brickwork was chosen to match perfectly and replaced to near perfection. It is worth mentioning at this point that all aspects of work are undertaken by them, this includes plumbing, gas, electrical, roofing, brickwork. The pipework to the new system is nothing short of art and testament to them. This is a case of you get what you pay for. Thanks to Matt, John and Kris.

Third time our family has used Nigel Stoves, they updated all my radiators to more efficient ones, the job was carried out quickly and professionally,am very satisfied with the standard and cleanliness,carpets were covered and walls protected. Plumber recommended a boiler based on customer specifications for pressurised hot water, customer received a boiler which only provides water at 42 degrees - warm water. Plumber and supplier are blaming each other stating I need a larger boiler.
