Avoid this garage at all costs – completely untrustworthy experience. I had my car towed here on referral from Henwood Garage (who I now know gave a terrible and incorrect diagnosis). Once my car arrived at Orchard Garage, no diagnostics were run, yet I was told the wiring harness had melted and that repairs would cost between £1,200 and £1,800. When I questioned the wide range, they said they couldn’t be sure until they started the work but were “thinking” it would be around £1,500. I told them I couldn’t afford that and needed time to think about it—and possibly consider scrapping the car. The next day, I got a call offering to buy the car from me, clear a supposed £200 inspection bill, and give me £150 in cash on top. That offer already seemed suspicious, so I did some online checking and was offered £750 elsewhere. When I went back to Orchard Garage with that info, they suddenly came back with a £700 offer, claiming they would just fix it up in their own time and sell it on for profit. This all felt wrong—so I had the car towed to a trusted auto diagnostic centre, who **properly diagnosed and fixed the issue within a day—for just £300. This garage gave a completely misleading diagnosis, quoted an extortionate price, then tried to lowball me on the value of the car so they could profit from the situation. It felt exploitative and dishonest from start to finish. Avoid this place. They are not to be trusted.

Broke down and had to be relayed to garage. Garage received my car at 4.00pm on Thursday and by 10.30am on Monday they had completed the repair which was to replace the clutch. Excellent service from initial phone call to completion. The work was completed to the initial budget and in record time. All staff were very helpful and courteous and kept me informed of progress.

Orchard garages really came to the rescue today when I was let down 5 minutes before my MOT was booked with another garage. I went to the park road branch to see if they had any availability and after ringing through to the Heath lane branch they said they would fit me in straight away over there. I drove round (only 5 minutes away, if that) and was on the ramp within 2 minutes of arriving. Extremely friendly and helpful staff, couldn’t do enough for you. Will be using them in future for any mechanic related needs.

This is the first time I have used Orchard Garage following a recommendation. From the outset I was impressed with the service, got to speak to a mechanic to discuss my problem and was promptly booked in. The work was completed on time and at a very reasonable cost. I phoned up this garage late morning inquiring if i can have an MOT in my motorbike in the afternoon. They gave me an appointment that afternoon, the receptionist was fantastic, made me a cup of tea, and above all my motorbike passed its MOT. Very happy. Highly recommend

Great family run business, only recently found them via my daughter and wouldn't go any where else now. A genuine garage with fair prices, for both vehicle repairs and used vehicle sales is hard to find.

For the fourth year running I have used Orchard garage for an MOT and service for my 9 year old Citroen Picasso and have always found the staff very professional and very honest. I have found all staff friendly and helpful. They have always tried to accommodate me at short notice when needed. All work I have had done has been reasonably priced with no unexpected extras added on. The counter staff always contact before completing work so there are no unwelcome extra costs when you pick your vehicle up. I have also purchased a used car from the garage and couldn't fault their service and after sales care.

Golf coolant pump was playing up and main dealer quoted eye watering amount to fix. Orchard did the work to a high standard at less than half the price quoted by the main dealer..... very happy with the work and cost. I will be back.

As a female who knows not a lot about what goes on under the bonnet, going to a garage can be daunting, but this family run garage takes all that worry away. I have been coming here for 4 years now and recommend to friends who are just as happy.
