James has been maintaining my home IT for a number of years. He recently set up my new PC and printer, and guided me through the transition from Microsoft to Apple. I can highly recommend him for any IT issues.

I cannot recommend James more highly. His knowledge of computers is outstanding. I have been seeking his help for several years and my computer problems were resolved on every occasion.

I had approached James at OurTech with issues I had with my very old Dell desktop and my Dell and Mac Air Book laptops as well as with my broadband. I did not want another desktop and was keen to find an alternative solution. James is a very good listener and took time to understand my current IT use, way of working and the particular issues with connectivity, broadband/WIFI in my area. He has put in place the best option to replace my desktop – moving from the old desktop to a smarter set up: using my Dell laptop and the best configuration of some new hardware /accessories for me to continue to work the way I like to. He upgraded the software on my laptops and did a health check (including help declutter files /apps). He also recommended options for improving/replacing my increasingly sluggish broadband service. The charges for his service were fair and transparent. OurTech’s recycling ethos was another plus for me …and good to know that the old desktop and its monitor (no webcam!) will be recycled. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending James/OurTech.

I've known James for a number of years now and wouldn't hesitate to recommend him. He has a wealth of knowledge of IT and has come to my rescue on a number of occasions. He has a broad range of IT matters, is prompt and efficient and explains everything in layman's terms. He has very good interpersonal skills, is reliable and is my "go to" person if I need help with technology. He has never let me down.

My old PC is on its last legs when it completely froze. James persevered until he finally achieved a temporary working solution to enable a smooth transfer to a new PC imminently.

James came to sort out my wi fi & internet connection, after BT had installed full fibre broadband & left me in a complete muddle. James is very efficient, explained everything clearly and resolved all the issues in a short timescale. I would always use James as my IT consultant & would be happy to recommend him to anyone who has technical issues & needs assistance with all the confusing technology that exists today.

2nd visit by James. This time to recover old hard drive out of old computer and enable me to access files. Fit DVD drive from old computer. Very helpful, knows his stuff and worked really fast. Very impressed.

James was very helpful when the retailer I had bought my 11-month-old laptop from refused to repair it under the warranty, claiming there was evidence of liquid damage. He did a thorough inspection of the laptop, wrote a clear report identifying the likely cause of the fault and made a video showing him carrying out a diagnostic test. The retailer accepted his findings in full and agreed to repair the laptop under the warranty. James was professional, produced the report quickly and was pleasant to deal with. Highly recommended.

When I could not log into my Windows 11 laptop, I contacted James, who responded promptly and arranged an appointment to come to my house within a few days. Arrived when he said he would spent 2 hours trying to resolve a really frustrating issue, explained what he was doing and made sure I understood. My family and I have used James on several occasions. He is polite and courteous and easy to speak to. I would thoroughly recommend him for computer issues.

I can recommend James for IT services from the work he has done for me this month. James has been very effective in sorting out a small technical difficulty with my PC and then in bringing the PC up to date by installing Windows 11. The PC should now see me out. James was very helpful in accompanying his work with detailed technical explanations to enable me to follow what had gone wrong and what was needed to bring the PC to full working order.

I think anyone who relies on email for their work or social life will understand how stressful it is when it goes wrong. My Outlook crashed, and James resolved all the issues over 2 weeks - but the key was the fact that he got it functioning on his first visit and then returned to deal with various remaining, but not crisis-ridden, issues. In between, he was contactable on WhatsApp. He took time to explain various technical stuff and I felt total confidence that all would be well. Stress has now gone, and all is now good - thankyou James (Our Technician).

James provided an excellent service throughout from advice to backup to installation of new computer and transfer of data and then gave us an explanation and run through of work done. Competitive price. Very professional and friendly and highly recommended.

James transferred data from existing old laptop to a new one. Absolutely perfect, I am really pleased with the results. He is professional, helpful and polite. I will always use him for any PC issues going forward.

I have used James for about 10 years, using him to do an annual check on my equipment and install necessary programs. He is always pleasant and helpful, even resolving problems over emails outside contract. He has also advised me about new equipment that I have needed to buy. He has always been able to rsove any problems that have arisen.

James supplied and installed new PC with Windows 11. Not only did he do this, but made sure my new PC was set up exactly per old one with all microphones, printers/scanners, cameras, linked, additional programs remained and working, in short all the nitty gritty details that could so easily be overlooked, (and cause me aggravation!) were done. James ensured a seamless transition and I was able to continue using my PC as if nothing had changed. This is exceptional in my opinion as these days, rarely is anything done without any hiccoughs. Work was done to budget, clearly explained with optional extras eg additional warranties if I choose. What is super impressive is James explains things clearly, without jargon, and no question is a bother. I always say "What do other people do if they don't have a James?!" I'd wholeheartedly recommend.

Have used before (replaced disk drive and transferred data to new). Responded rapidly to my call for help when system tempramental, sorted my issues, reasonable charges. Highly recommend
