Rupert is brilliant. He managed to quickly locate the issue and fix my hot water valve. Basically, another plumber installed the wrong valve (3 port instead of 2 port) in my hot water tank. I would highly recommend Rupert, he is very knowledgeable and professional.

Boiler packed up and I was advised to have a power flush to cure the problem by the call out plumbers. Called Rupert who came within a couple of days and advised flush not needed. Turned out it was a dodgy diverter valve and an ailing pump. All fixed in quick time. Thank you.

He arrived when he said he would, installed a new combi boiler to my satisfaction and went the extra mile to sort out an odd niggle with my heating, all within budget. Rupert Hilton removed our old Greenstar floor standing boiler and replaced it with a very smart high tech wall mounted Bosch Worcester Greenstar 8000 style iw40. He recommended this higher spec boiler rather than the one proposed by our regular plumber, to ensure a sufficient hot water supply, and provided a competitive proposal. He began the installation 12 days after we accepted his quotation and completed it within 2 days and on budget. Rupert's installation of the boiler and the building works for the flue was very neatly done. He fully tested the system and helped me set up the iPhone management application. In addition to his professional installation, Rupert was great to work with, by keeping us informed and answering all of our questions and has a great sense of humour. We strongly recommend him for boiler installations and will be using him for our boiler service and other plumbing work.

I bought a new property but unfortunately nothing worked after moving in. The old boiler and electronic shower turned down and we've had no hot water for a few days. We needed our (heat-only) boiler replaced due to the failure following corrosion of the 16 year old previous appliance. Rupert communicated well and understood our needs properly. He provided a clear quotation with several options and was happy to discuss them all carefully. The time from me paying the deposit to the boiler being fitted and fully working was only a week. Rupert is a proper craftsman and it was a pleasure to watch him work in a skilled and clearly very experienced way. Would definitely recommend. Once I'd paid the final invoice he sorted out the Worcester-Bosch warranty and guarantee very quickly.

Oxbridge Plumbing fitted me with a new combination boiler, replacing a very old back boiler and requiring a lot of old lead pipe work to be removed which had leaked through the ceiling, making it an urgent job. Rupert Halford was able to come out quickly and offered me a good choice of different boilers. He was able to do all the work with a minimum of damage to the decorations, despite having to take a number of carpets and boards up and remove bathroom tiles to replace all the old lead pipes. His quote was good value and the work was done to a good standard. Rupert was courteous and helpful and I will definitely be using him in the future.

Rupert came when promised and finished the work within the stated timescale. He was pleasant, courteous and knowledgeable. The final invoice matched the projected charge.

Our new system requirements were quickly appreciated. Emails and telephone calls were acknowledged promptly. After a visit several recommendations were suggested, fully explained and discussed and this resulted in a timely quote with options. Work started within 10 days and consisted of a new boiler, unvented cylinder, sludge filter and rerouting of pipes. Old pipework, pumps, wiring and headertanks were all disconnected and mostly recovered. The Nest Control and Heat Link connected seamlessly. Two large holes in the exterior wall from the old balanced flues were bricked up. The job was tidily and neatly finished and went to time. The only remaining problem is the large space now in the boiler cupboard and its interior decoration. However, we are warmer and spending a lot less money on gas. The system is a quieter, more stable and mixer taps better.

I called Oxbridge Plumbing to help sort out a water main extension and a new waste trap so I could have separate washing machine and tumble dryers. They were very helpful in setting up the initial appointment by phone and arranging a convenient time to attend. He turned up promptly at the agreed time. After an initial inspection of the works he left to get the required parts. Once back at the house he worked quickly and competently to address the changes I requested. Once finished he cleared away the mess/waste from the works. The trader also seemed knowledgeable about several other issues that had been on my 'To Do' list which was a great help. I have a number of other small jobs around the house and I'll be using Oxbridge Plumbing again.

I had a new boiler fitted, replacing a very old back boiler. This required the pipe work all moving from one side of the house to the other. Mr Halford explained the pros and cons of different types of boiler much more clearly than anyone had done previously; he then installed the new boiler, moving the pipe work, with no fuss and no damage to my varnished floorboards. He found routes for the pipes which avoided having all the floors up, and those carpets and boards that he did have up have been relaid perfectly. Work was undertaken very promptly when my old boiler stopped functioning completely, was completed in the time planned and was a good price.

Rupert had an uncanny ability to visualise my heating system over the phone, and was able to attend within 48 hours during the national cold snap. He is an engineer as well as a plumber, so has a wide range of skills for diagnosing and fixing heating problems.
