PA Carruthers Ltd

I have used Pete and his team for several projects now and he is the most reliable plumber I have found in the West Wales area. He has fitted two Ground Source Heat Pumps and all associated heating ancillaries and hot and cold supply to kitchens and bathrooms. The installations have been done in old buildings with thick walls and yet great care and respect has been shown by all his team members, throughout, to ensure the preservation of character. The jobs have always been done efficiently, on time and with minimal mess caused. He has great relationships with other local contractors (builders, electrical, groundworks) and is well known in the area for the quality of his work. He led the whole Renewable Heat Incentive application process for me and made life very easy indeed. I would highly recommend him for any heating and plumbing installations/services, he delivers exactly what he says he will.

Over the past several years we have called out Pete on numerous occasions for work ranging from emergency leaks in pipework to stubborn problems with our central heating boiler. On every occasion Pete has responded swiftly and helpfully, despite the fact that our problems always seem to materialise over weekends and bank holidays. I doubt whether you could find a better service anywhere in Ceredigion.

I had PA Carruthers Ltd in to change my ancient Oil Boiler central heating system over to Air Source. Time was spent before the changeover explaining how the system works, what would need to be done (including alterations required), time scales and costs. Alterations were discussed, costed and agreed beforehand. Work started on the given day and has finished on time, too. The overall impression of having the work done by PA Carruthers Ltd is that they are very efficient and knowledgeable. Each person knew exactly what they were doing and got on with the task at hand. Ongoing questions were answered immediately, and they were all extremely helpful and obliging. The system was set up, and operating instructions given verbally along with the printed manual. I will get another visit in a couple of days to check if I have any questions and telephone backup is ongoing, should I need it. A fantastic, professional service that I would Highly Recommend.

Pete and the team fitted an air source heat pump for us, and did a fantastic job. They arrived by 8am and worked through till 5:30pm without stopping. The team were courteous and were a pleasure to have in our home. The standard of work was extremely high, and Pete ensured the job was completed to our and his satisfaction, as well as checking back the next day. We are new to the area so we were unsure of the local tradesmen, finding Pete was a stroke of good luck. I am more than happy to recommend Pete, you certainly won’t find better.

We moved into a bungalow with a gravity fed hot water system which was poor. We contacted Peter who recommended an unvented cylinder system, which would give us mains - pressure hot water. We opted for a new shower at the same time to replace the electric one we had. Shortly thereafter Peter's team arrived, removed the old system, fitted the new one, along with the shower.........all in one day ! The transformation was remarkable. Speaking as a retired tradesman myself, I have to say I cannot remember seeing better workmanship, efficiency and materials. I cannot recommend PA Carruthers highly enough. If you want a top class job done, these are the guys for you. My wife and I are so pleased we got them in.
