Paul Wareing Plumbing and Heating Ltd offers a reliable, affordable and professional service to Colchester and the surrounding areas. We specialise in replacing gas boiler and are Accredited Installers of Worcester Boilers and can therefore provide their 10 and 12 year boiler guarantees.
We offer the full range Plumbing and Heating services from repairing a dripping tap to installing a full central heating system.
The Company was established in 1990 after Paul completed a comprehensive 5 year apprenticeship whilst working for a local plumbing and heating contractor.
We have now employed our youngest son (Matthew) into the business. Matthew is also a fully qualified plumber, and a Gas Safe and OFTEC registered Engineer. He Completed his 4 year, day release apprenticeship at Colchester Institute in 2016 whilst working for the business.
We pride ourselves on the reputation that we have built up as a family run business and appreciate the loyalty shown by our many returning customers.

Paul Wareing Pumbing & Heating Ltd Installed a new boiler, replaced all radiators and also installed an extra radiator in the conservertory at a later date. Mr. Wareing is a capable experienced neat and tidy worker with a friendly and helpfull disposition. His pipe work was excellent and he was very carefull with his positioning of the radiators, making sure they were level etc. The boiler, the heating and hot water system have been no trouble at all and have worked perfectly. Great work! I would highly recommend the comapny to others.

Paul and his colleagues worked fine, with no lunch breaks to ensure we were not without heating too long. C/H & hot water restored after two days. This included stripping an old boiler, banks, cylinders etc. and installing all new boiler, rads & all pipework. Well done.

This is the second job that Paul and Matt have done for us, so we knew we wouldn't be disappointed. Matt arrived early in the morning to drain down the heating system, replace 4 old radiators, then refill the system. He is a perfectionist in his work, and completed the job neatly, efficiently and cleanly, even taking his shoes off whenever he came indoors. We are really pleased with the work that he has done, and very grateful to all the members of this family business for their friendly and excellent service.

Our oil boiler stopped working and so we contacted three engineers. Paul Wareing seemed the most knowledgeable and most personable by far. They were able to install the new boiler quickly and within budget. They were very efficient and tidy with their work. We are very happy with the completed job. Paul replaced our gas boiler and water cylinder. On what was a very hot day the guys worked fast and efficiently to complete the job. We were all in the house, but they happily worked round us. Everything was cleared away at the end of the job and waste taken away. Friendly service st a fair price. Would recommend.

Woke up one morning to a leaking boiler. Checked Trusted Trader and contacted Paul Wareing Plumbing for an urgent quote to replace the boiler. Paul came out to us on his day off. He was pleasant and extremely helpful. We received a very reasonable quote very quickly which we accepted and works were booked. Paul and his son arrived on time and worked solidly for a day and a half. We had the new boiler relocated upstairs so pipework needed to be laid up through the loft. They made good where the old boiler had been removed, all rubbish was removed and the new system demonstrated and fully explained. Communication was excellent and both father and son were chatty and pleasant, explaining the job thoroughly. We will definitely use it again and recommend it to others.

After our initial online enquiry we received a call from Tracey straight away to arrange for Paul to visit to price the job. A detailed quotation was received very promptly, and once we'd accepted she called to agree the installation date and told us who would be coming and what to expect. Paul and Norman arrived on time, and were courteous, polite and cheery. They clearly have a great working relationship, joshing with each other all the time, but most importantly they were very efficient and tidy. The new boiler was working by mid-afternoon, and the heating and hot water systems were thoroughly tested before they left. I'd have no hesitation in recommending Paul and his team to anyone.

I did my due diligence in finding a heating engineer to replace a boiler that had failed its EPC certificate. Mr Wareing didn't spend a great deal of time getting the measure of the property but because he wasn't selling himself as much as others I felt somewhat reassured by his knowledge and confidence that the job would be a straightforward one. So far no problems with the installation and the work was done on time and within the estimate given. Mr Wareing will service the boiler on a yearly basis too. Good work.

I first contacted Mr. Wareing's company in February 2020 for a sudden leak in the kitchen under the work surface, as they were recommended to me by a friend, and I found them very friendly, helpful and approachable to deal with. Matthew Wareing came to sort out the plumbing under the sink on that first occasion, and since then he has repaired a variety of problems here including the loo cistern mechanism, a blocked washing-machine stand-pipe, and cracked and broken sections of drainpipe outside. On all occasions Matthew has been most pleasant and extremely professional and helpful. I have been really pleased with all the work he has done here. He has also been very careful to follow all the recommended Covid guidelines when here, which I very much appreciated. It has been a pleasure dealing with this company, and I recommend them highly.

I contacted Paul Wareing plumbing and heating on a recommendation from a friend and must say they more than lived up to this. From start to finish they're friendly, professional approach was much appreciated. Having had some bad experiences with workmen in the past I am wary of having anyone in the house but both Paul and son were both hardworking and my fears were soon dispelled on meeting them. Paul made a second visit prior to starting work to advise on the job and clearing the house for access and completed the replacement of boiler and water tank efficiently and easily within the time frame as we wanted and did not, unlike other quotes try to get us to have what we didn't want. The system has been up and running for a couple of weeks now and we are very happy with the system and quality of the work done.
