Peak Lofts is a small family run business based in Maidstone, Kent. We have over 15 years of experience in improving lofts and pride ourselves on the quality of our work.
We are not a franchise of a larger company which allows us the freedom to complete the works at a fair price at a suitable timescale that allows the works to be completed properly, no rushing to finish to fit more in.
Here at Peak Lofts we have a strong belief of "Service over everything" this covers the point of first contact with our clients to completion of the installation and aftercare service.
We install various types of ladder to suit all setups and budgets, whether you visit your loft for suitcases & decorations or use your loft as an everyday space we can help you to find a solution.

From his first visit, Shaun stood out as the most personable, straightforward and competent, from all companies I invited for quotes. One company had suggested a well-known fold-out wooden loft ladder system that Shaun correctly pointed out wouldn't have the physical clearance space to unfold. He talked through various options, tailoring his suggestions in line with how I used my loft. On the day, despite scorching humid weather, Shaun was in great humour and installed the ladder in no time with an insulation-backed door and beautiful wooden hatch frame. In my current schedule of hefty renovation works, it's been a standout positive experience. Many thanks!

I will start our review stating that a suitcase fell on my head out of the loft when my husband was putting them away. The next week our neighbour had a van outside his house 'Peak Lofts'. He spoke to Shaun whilst he was working next door and within 2 weeks we were having the loft boarded and a ladder erected at a very good price. Shaun is a really lovely guy nothing is too much trouble, he worked in the heat that we had last week and after each day you would not know he had been. Shaun cleans up and hoovers and we are so very pleased with the outcome of the work. Thankyou Shaun

Peak Lofts have just finished refurbishing our loft to a very high standard indeed, replacing old boards with a raised floor, topping up the insulation and fitting new LED lighting and shelving, not to mention relocating and widening our old hatch and repairing the ladder. Shaun was friendly, knowledgeable, efficient, courteous and tidied up so well, we would never have known any works had been carried out (at least from outside the loft)! In fact, an absolute pleasure to have around for a few days. The price was competitive too - as the title says, I couldn't be happier, and would wholeheartedly recommend Peak Lofts to friends and family alike.

I contacted Peak Lofts Ltd a few weeks ago and from the outset they were thoroughly professional. I discussed with Cara the work I needed doing on my loft, i.e. a loft ladder, loft boards and top up insulation and she came up with a quote within a couple of days. When Shaun arrived to do the job, he suggested extending the loft hatch to accommodate the ladder more easily, a light fitting and a grab rail and advised me as to the revised quote for the job. He managed to all this work quickly and efficiently to a very high standard. Once the work was completed Shaun cleaned up with a hoover and then talked me through how the loft hatch and ladder all worked. I was thoroughly impressed with the service provided by Peak Lofts Ltd. I am extremely happy with my new loft ladder and boards, etc which will make my life so much easier whenever I access the loft. I would thoroughly recommend this company.

Before Shaun completed the work, accessing our loft space (tiny loft hatch and one piece of board) was a nightmare Shaun came out and recommended a larger hatch, full boarding, a new ladder and some shelves. It looks incredible and has given us so much more space! Professional from quote to clean up (using his new hoover) and bought me along as a customer explaining each step. Shaun installed a new loft hatch (sealing the old one) , a wooden ladder, new flooring, lighting, insulation and a made the space dust free. We were very happy with the results. He was very honest from the get go and what we could achieve and didn't try to trick us on making unnecessary works, the quote was very reasonable. I forgot to mention that on top to be very nice and professional, he was very responsive from the get go and communication was really easy. Work was completed at the expected date. He was recommended by friends and we can only recommend him. Don't hesitate! 5 star quality!

Shaun from Peak Lofts provided an excellent professional service, from coming around to do the initial quote to installation. I couldn't get the time off work but I could tell he was trustworthy, so I gave him a spare key so he could let himself in and out after I left for work in the early afternoon. I knew my loft was spacious, but I don't think I fully appreciated the space there actually was in my loft until it was boarded out. The ladder to access the loft is really easy to use as well and very sturdy. Highly recommend.

Shaun came to fix my velux window as it had been poorly fit by the previous owner and was causing a serious draft and leak in the rain! Shaun was very professional and explained clearly how he was going to fix it and what he needed to do! He was able to fit me in, was very friendly and the main thing is the window is now completely fixed! Very happy with the work and have asked him to come back and look at my loft!

Shaun completed loft boarding for ourselves. He resized our loft hatch and installed a new hatch door, loft ladder, boarding, lighting and truss shelving in our loft. Quick response to initial contact and visited to provide a quote the next day. Shaun provided a variety of options and fully explained each, emailing a detailed breakdown of the costs of each option. Once we decided to proceed with the work, this was completed within 10 days of initial enquiry, with the job taking one day. We are extremely happy with the quality of the work Shaun completed. I had a loft ladder installed in the house. They came on time and were very polite and helpful..We had spoken before about the ladder required, it was a telescopic ladder. Covers were put on the floor and stairs to keep them clean. I was very impressed with the end product. I was shown how to use the ladder, all was very clear. The job was to install a replacement loft ladder. This entailed enlarging the existing opening in the hall ceiling, removing old aluminium ladder and installing Fakro wooden ladder. Then making good the hall ceiling. I am very pleased with the standard of work. Shaun demonstrated how to open the ceiling hatch and use the ladder. I was impressed that Shaun laid dust sheets right across the hall and vacuumed after removing them.

I contacted Peak Lofts with an email enquiry on Friday 3 January, sending some photos and outline measurements. I had a call from Shaun the following day (the Saturday) followed up later that day by a detailed emailed response with indicative costs. I had made enquiries elsewhere and went through a two week process of seeking assessing responses, trying to ensure I was comparing like with like. I then decided to go with Peak Lofts. In price times there was no significant price differential but our loft space is a big area and Shaun proposed a deeper insulation fill that others so there was extra material cost involved. He visited to confirm the detail and confirmed he was able to start about 10 days later. He was on site for nearly a full week, was diligent, efficient and tidy and we are very pleased with the outcome.
