Peter installed a new Worcester Bosch boiler in my second floor flat. I received a very clear quotation from Peter detailing all the work and, as it was not a straight forward installation, he was able to reassure me over several emails that the work could be achieved with minimum impact to my newly fitted kitchen. Peter's quote was competitively priced compared to other companies but what really made up my mind was how helpful he had been during his visit, willing to spend time to explain everything to me and work out the best solution for fitting the boiler. The boiler was installed on schedule, fitting it into my holidays even though Peter had only just returned from his own holiday in the early hours of that morning! The work was carried out in a professional way and my kitchen was left clean and tidy with minimum impact as promised. We had a new boiler installed by Peter - initial visit provided us with good understanding of work required (and other options), which was followed by a full and clear quotation. The work was then done on schedule, progress was clearly communicated and, on conclusion, everything was left neat and tidy. We were provided with clear guidance on the relevant system controls. We had a leak from an ensuite shower room. Peter identified the problem, fixed the leak and repaired the ceiling.

Peters service was great from start to finish - his communication was good, he arrived on time and was polite and took time to explain all the options initially to help us make the best choice for us. We agreed a date for the work and he was trust worthy and relaible (a rare trait in tradesman these days) and arrived on time and completed the work on schedule. Peter has serviced our boiler for several years. Recently we realised we had a leak from our hot water tank, damaging a ceiling. Peter was excellent at giving us lots of advice and showing us the alternatives, providing quotes for fitting a new hot water tank or having a combi boiler fitted instead.The quotes were clear and helpful. We decided to get rid of the tank and have a combi boiler, which Peter installed over the last couple of days. He removed the old tank and boiler and took all the rubbish away. He was prompt, helpful and tidy. He also took plenty of time to explain the new system. We're delighted with everything and will continue to use Peter for servicing. The pricing was very reasonable.

Peter installed our boiler several years ago and yesterday was our annual service visit. As ever Peter was on time, took care of our property and surroundings and carried out his work tidily and cleanly, leaving the area as he found it. The engineer came at the appointed time and carried out an annual service. He was very professional and went through everything. A man I would trust. Peter installed our new boiler in July 2022 - a job carried out to the highest professional standard, I might add - and his visit on 5 July this year to undertake the boiler's first annual service was absolute confirmation (if any were needed) of Peter's desire to making sure everything was just as it should be. He was punctual, and carried out the service quietly and efficiently to the extent that we barely knew he was there. Getting good, reliable tradesmen these days can often be difficult. My wife and I consider ourselves most fortunate to have found Peter and are confident we will be able to depend on him for years to come. In a nutshell: we cannot recommend him too highly.

Based on our experience we can highly recommend Peter. We contacted him on a Friday afternoon to ask for a quote for providing and fitting a new boiler. He came to visit and assess the job after he had finished his other work on the same evening. Later that evening he provided a quote. On Monday morning, after we had received another quote, we said we would like him to carry out the work and he installed the boiler the next day. He under promised because he had originally indicated that it would probably be a week or more before he was able to carry out the work but he had the job completed considerably earlier than the time he originally estimated. He arrived punctually and explained the work he was going to carry out and indicated how long it would take. It was evident that he was thorough and carried out the work to a very high standard. When the work was completed, he provided a clear explanation about how to operate the boiler and the Warranty. Peter was very pleasant to deal with and although we had never met him previously, we were totally relaxed about leaving him in the house alone.

As a long-standing Worcester Bosch customer, the WB website, which recommends Worcester-accredited boiler installers in my area, was my first port of call when deciding to replace my aging boiler. There were two installers in my area but Peter's website stood out for a number of reasons, not the least of these being a whole slew of very positive reviews by previous customers, and he seemed the natural choice. And boy, was I not disappointed! On the day of the installation, Peter arrived on time and very quickly got down to work, having first provided protective sheets to minimise any mess (of which there was, in fact, very little). Peter worked quietly and efficiently, stopping briefly for lunch, then straight back to the job - so much so that my new boiler was installed and up and running by the end of the day. Peter returned the following day to ensure that the boiler was functioning as it should, and then went to the extra trouble of constructing a wooden cover to hide all the copper piping. I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Peter to anyone who needs a plumber/boiler installer who can be relied upon to fulfill any and all customer expectations. He is reliable, friendly, extremely tidy and respectful of a customer's property, very efficient, and - most important - utterly competent. He really does know his trade, and I am very glad I chose him to replace my boiler. A first-class tradesman, and a first-class job. Very happy!

We contacted Peter when our main bathroom toilet stopped flushing. He came to our house and did manage to get it working again but we decided we’d be happier to renew the mechanism. He then returned the next day with a new unit. He worked tidily and cleaned up behind him and I would have no hesitation in recommending his services.

Peter replied to my emails and gave advice about faulty tap. New cartridges didn't solve the problem. So Peter came out and swiftly sorted things out andremoved the faulty check valve. All now working.

Peter just replaced our old boiler, he was on time worked hard and completed the job when he said he would, he kept the mess to a minimum and cleaned after himself when job was done.

We contacted Peter in September to review the ageing central heating system in the house that we had recently moved into. He arrived promptly, identified two failed motorised valves, and advised on how to make the system much more efficient. He subsequently returned to replace the valves, and discuss the need for a new gas boiler. After receiving his wise advice, we started planning for the installation of an efficient modern boiler in the spring. In April Peter visited to survey the site and discuss options for the design and size of boiler, as well as smart controls. In late May, within the space of just two days, he removed the old heavy floor-standing boiler, mounted the new Worcester Bosch Greenstar condensing gas boiler on the wall, adjusted the gas and water pipes, fitted a new external drain pipe, installed a more powerful central heating pump, replaced a failing pressure vessel which he identified as the work progressed, and tested the entire system. He always arrived promptly, minimised any mess and disruption, and kept us informed of progress at all times. The end result looks really neat and tidy, and the new system is working beautifully. I can strongly recommend Peter and will certainly employ him again.

Peter has just completed a total refit of our main bathroom and ensuite. He stripped both rooms right back to nothing, moved positioning of toilets, sinks, radiators and removed bath, replacing with shower. Fitted wet wall panels, flooring and new bathroom suites. He has done an outstanding job. Peter has great attention to detail and nothing is too much trouble. Checked with us throughout the job and finished on time. Peter Crawford installed a new Worcester Bosch Greenstar boiler on the third of February at our home in Longniddry. He provided a concise and informative quote and answered all of our questions with knowledge and expertise. He arrived when he said he would and fully respected our home. The installation was carried out exactly as promised. His pipe work is a work of art. We had difficulty installing the Easy Control due to the software being out of date. A temporary solution was found whilst we waited for WB to remotely update the software. Once this was done Peter returned to complete the installation. I absolutely recommend Crawford Heating services, very polite, likeable and knowledgeable.

It was time to find a new CH engineer and of the three I spoke to, Peter's business came across as the cheapest, smallest, most communicative and possibly the most experienced (14 years at Scottish Gas). He took things one at a time and made sure that I understood what he was doing. He was the only engineer who gave the impression that he was there to make the house warm rather than just make sure the boiler service was complete.

We had an intermittent boiler problem about a year ago, winter of course. A baby was arriving to stay with us. As he was fully committed, Peter set about arranging for a well-qualified colleague of his to come and help and, if for any reason the problem could not be immediately fixed, he offered to loan us a heater to use in the interim. Peter is reliable, very tidy, he is pleasant and helpful and communicative. Peter does not compromise on standards and checks everything, just as it should be.

I did have to wait a bit as Peter is very busy but it was well worth it. He installed central heating in my small flat. He managed to get a radiator into an awkward room and neatly place the boiler in an Edinburgh press leaving me two usable shelves above. He disposed of the old boiler giving me extra storage space and got rid of the old flooring for me. It’s quite a disruption having central heating put in where there was none before so I stayed with my daughter while the work was being done. Peter kept the floorboards up until the work was finished to make sure of no leaks. The work was finished to time and I was kept informed of its progress all the way. I required an old floor-standing boiler to be replaced by a modern equivalent. Peter Crawford came to review the work and noted that the pump, fitted on the return to the existing boiler should be moved to the flow for the new boiler and that the existing magnetic filter if replaced by one supplied by the manufacturer would lengthen the boiler guarantee period by 3 years - left it to me to decide whether it was worth it. Peters quote for the job was in my view reasonable and I liked his attitude towards the job I required. He gave me a choice of dates when the work could be carried out and we agreed on a date for the installation. Peter came when he said he would and made a very neat and professional-looking job of the boiler install, amended pipework and flue work, leaving the entire work area spotless when he finished. A job very well done and I would not hesitate to recommend Peter and expect to call him for the boiler's future servicing.

We have been having cold showers and British Gas were unable to come out so from the Worcester site we came across Crawfords I called and spoke to Peter he took some details then came out the next morning .He replaced the pump in our bolier and we have all enjoyed a hot shower for the first time since January He was polite professional helpful explained all he was doing tidied up well I would use him again and would wholeheartedly recommend him Thank you very much Peter.

Lost my heating after the pipes froze in particularly cold weather. Mr. Crawford came out the very same day and had it fixed and up and running again in no time. We were so impressed with his prompt service and professional manner that we booked him to come back and service the boiler. I lost heating and hot water over the cold spell and was told by Scottish Gas it would be 13 days before an engineer could be sent out. This was not acceptable so I contacted Peter who assessed the situation and ordered a new pump for my boiler. He gave up his Saturday to fit the pump and drain the system without hesitation. We urgently needed a new boiler and got several quotes. Of all the quotes Peter impressed us the most, both with his knowledge and approachability. We found it easy to discuss all our options with him and he gave us a very competitive quote. He pulled out all the stops to get our new boiler installed before Christmas. He was punctual and kept us well informed. Our gas and water were only off for short periods and we had heating and hot water back by the afternoon. He arranged all ancillary trades, who arrived on time. All work was carried out efficiently and to schedule and budget. He was very tidy and there was minimal disruption. He carried out a full safety check on all our gas appliances and smoke and carbon monoxide alarms. He contacted us the following day to ensure we were happy before submitting his invoice. So when it came time for a new boiler, we saw that he was an approved Worcester Bosch installer, and asked him to quote for a new boiler to be supplied and fitted. The price was fair, and we were again very pleased with the quality, reliability, and good communication that Peter provided from quotation to installation.

Communication has been excellent , he arranged to get the new boiler and was prompt on the mutually agreed installation date. On that day it was clear Peter is a very knowledgeable, professional heating engineer. On completion of installation he talked through all the controls and always answered any queries in a patient thorough way. Everything was left in a tidy clean state and all packing and old boiler was removed. Peter also takes care of the registration for warranty purposes, this was done promptly as two days later I received an email from the Boiler company with confirmation. I can't recommend Peter enough. He helped us out when our contract heating company advised that our combi boiler could not be fixed leaving us with no hot water or heating. He juggled jobs so that he could fit us in and done a first class job. He arrived sharp and stayed late when he discovered a problem with the gas flow to our house. He contacted gas company and waited for their engineer to arrive and explained the problem to them. This problem had never been picked up on any previous checks with our own contract heating company, who carried out annual checks. He is a tidy worker, removed all debris, and went above and beyond staying late on a Friday evening to await gas engineer. First class.

Just before New Year I started noticing the radiators in my house were taking ages to get warm. Downstairs they were just cold all the time! I had to turn the hot water off to have the heating on. The problem got worse. I had a water sample taken by my breakdown cover which came back verifying a powerflush was required. I contacted Peter who came out and assessed the system professionally, quickly and efficiently. I could tell Peter knew what he was talking about. He provided me with three different stages of work and prices to get everything working again. I did not feel under any pressure from Peter to go with all the options but I decided I wanted the best and long term solution. Peter managed to fit me into his busy schedule very quickly. He arrived promptly and quickly got on with the work. The pipework was re-routed for better efficiency, brand new pump fitted, powerflush of the whole system with powerful magnetic filters and each radiator individually flushed. A lot of sludge and muck came out of the system. A new Adey magnetic filter was also fitted. Wow what a difference! It's like I am sitting in a different house. Everything is so much more quiet as well. Every radiator on and properly hot! Peter did a really professional job and he didn't rush it either. On completion he even said I won't take the payment until I come back and double check everything is working. Excellent work.

The old boiler failed at my flat just before Xmas so I expected to reach an answerphone and expect a long wait when I called. Instead Peter was very quick to visit the property and respond with a thorough explanation of my options and prices, while offering some additional advice. Having purchased a holiday home in North Berwick we found that the hot water pressure was not adequate. I was initially v cynical about all the great reviews Peter had but after his visit I can see why they are deserved! His price for a service was cheaper than others; on the way he was unavoidably delayed but rang to explain and apologise with new ETA. Very polite, informative about the work, kept place clean and cheerfully attended to some new problems on site eg new leaky valve. Went above and beyond to secure my loose radiator on the wall.
