We are Gas Safe Registered & all our engineers are trained professionals, we carry out all types of work from small maintenance & domestic work to installations such as new housing, schools & offices. All of our work is fully guaranteed.

Great service from Peter Brown Plumbing & Heating Ltd in Harrow & Wealdstone. Usual annual boiler service for our Worcester Bosch 4000 24 KW System unit. Reliable, Efficient, thorough check over lasting 45 minutes. Service engineer Alan never rushes the job, always arrives on time, and is very sociable & talkative. Work carried out at the agreed cost, with no issues at all. Have used this company for some 15 to 20 years now for all types of gas work, both repairs, servicing and new boiler / taps, etc installations.

64% more expensive than competition; Reluctant to fix incorrect installation

Overall Rating: 2 stars Work: Supply and install a WorcesterGreenstar 4000 30kW combi boiler at the exact same location as earlier model, and connecting to existing pipe work. Install a new horizontal flue with Plume Management Kit outside. 2 days labour work by 1 person, Benard Value: 1 star Peter Brown (PB) charges 25% markup on all material costs (plus 20% VAT). Peter Brown charged £3,238 excl VAT without optional extras. Via Worchester website the same boiler installation can be booked for the portion(!) of PB's price. Customer Care and communication: 1 star Peter refused to accept my concern regarding their incorrect installation of the plume management kit, and he was reluctant to correct it. I had to follow up with multiple emails asking him to correct the installation. When I asked for a detailed breakdown of costs including labour and material before the work has started he didn't reply for 3 days, and when he did respond, it was in a dismissive way saying that I have agreed and paid the deposit, and it does not make a difference what the breakdown is. Quality: 3.5 stars Water was dripping from the horizontal plume management extension kit as condensate was not flowing back to the boiler. There has been no obvious upward slope installed by PB.

We welcome constructive comments, but would like to clarify a few points to ensure an accurate picture. Our quote included manufacturer-approved materials, full warranties, insured workmanship, and installation by a Gas Safe–registered engineer. Prices can vary between installers based on service level, accreditation, and warranty coverage. A detailed written quote was provided and accepted, along with the deposit, before any work was scheduled. We are always happy to explain our costings, and we provided the breakdown you requested within the same working week. However, comparing quotes after work has started is not relevant. Online estimates also differ from on-site assessments. If a customer is unhappy with a quote, they are free to obtain alternatives before work begins. Regarding communication, we responded to all enquiries and provided clarification throughout. We never start work without approval of the scope and cost, which was confirmed in this case. I remained in frequent contact by phone and email, visited during installation, and returned three days later to address concerns. Your issue with the plume management kit was resolved within one working day. We attended promptly, followed manufacturer and safety standards, and rectified the issue once identified. While we are pleased the installation is operating correctly, we do not feel the review reflects the service and accountability we provided. Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback.
Wonderful and honest advice
Peter installed my boiler 9 years ago. We contacted him to get a quote to fix our boiler after British Gas wanted to charge us a fortune to fix our boiler or install a new one. Peter advised us that our boiler should still be under guarantee and that we should go to the manufacturer to check. I did this and they have now fixed the boiler under the guarantee. Because of Peter’s honesty and helpfulness we have saved a sizeable amount of money and can enjoy the winter in a warm home. Peter advised us brilliantly when installing the boiler and again this week. We are very grateful and will be sure to contact them first in future.

We had read really good reviews of this company. We had a broken outdoor waste water pipe. The company said they were very busy and could not arrange an early appointment but because we were unable to use out bath they would bear us in mind if they had a cancellation. This what happened and the person who came replaced the broken pipe very quickly which meant we were only unable to use the bath for a very few days. We were very pleased.
