The work of servicing the boiler was done on the agreed date and to the expected budget. It was very helpful as it included an extra check on the operation of the switch on the gas fire, following a previous very helpful phone call. On a previous occasion the engineer came before an agreed appointment to check a problem with the boiler over a weekend when it went off, coming during his lunch hour on the Monday. We were very grateful for this as my wife and myself are both now over 80 years old. We have been with this company for many years now and have always found them very efficient, reliable and trustworthy.

Attended for boiler service but advised new boiler required. Explained in great detail why this was recommended. Now awaiting quote for replacement and will use Peter Brown to complete. Highly recommended for efficient,friendly and professional service including initial contact with office.

Service engineer alan, arrived on time as usual. Job carried out very quickly, no issues and no mess. Invoice and gas safety certificate issued within a few days.

A very good experience with this company over a number of years. Peter Brown Plumbing replaced an elderly gas boiler about four years ago and have serviced the new one each year since. Support staff in the office are always helpful especially in arranging convenient dates and times for a servicing the boiler. The same engineer has carried out the service each year and is always pleasant and professional. Supply, installation and servicing costs are reasonable. Happy to continue to use this company.

They repaired a leak from the toilet and cleaned up everywhere. They also replaced a flush valve and inlet valve. I was able to book a plumber within 24 hours of reporting the problem. A part needed to be ordered for the replacement flush which arrived the next day. The workman (I think his name was Alan) was punctual, polite and covered his shoes on entering the property. He was quick. He repaired the leak in 15 minutes. And the next day replaced the flush etc and left the bathroom spotless. I received the invoice in a few days and there was no problem. My boiler was not working and I was extremely cold. I was given an appointment a week later. The engineer quickly found the fault, fixed it and serviced the boiler. The price was reasonable and I will use the company again.

Pump problem? Came, listened, found fault (not pump!), explained problem and remedy, fixed it, gave advice on future problem solving. All done in half an hour. Professional yet affable, tidy and efficient. Not the cheapest but I’m glad I chose them and will do again (though hopefully not too soon).

Peter Brown Plumbing completed several jobs for us, most notably putting in a new WC and replacing an aged shower fitting, the last completed on 15 October. All jobs were completed satisfactorily and all appointments made kept. What more can one ask?

Peter visited to discuss the tasks I wanted to achieve and suggested helpful options. Peter Brown sourced some components and we sourced the rest. That worked well. The quote was emailed and I was able to respond and agree dates for the work. Our plumber arrived on schedule and completed the work on the third day as expected. He worked single-handed and was helpful scheduling tasks in different locations in our home for our convenience. He worked continuously and quietly, cleaning up at each task and responding helpfully to questions with clear explanations. Work included installing a new toilet and boring through the external wall to connect to the stack, replacing a high-level cistern and lead flush pipe, replacing the kitchen mixer tap and two pairs of sink taps (one pair original 1930s that was a challenge but achieved with care) and replacing a towel rail. Our old-fashioned heating system made re-filling the top towel rail a challenge. The plumber returned two days later to use a different technique that was successful filling the towel rail. It can be unsettling having works done in your home, but Peter Brown and his team made ours a comfortable and positive experience. There were no surprises. I will use them again.

I have used Peter Brown for a number of years to service my boiler. In addition they have installed a new boiler together with a power flush and carried out other work when required over the years. I find them efficient and honest and give good advice. They may not be the cheapest but give me peace of mind. I would have no hesitation in recommending them.

This is an old house c 1934 and the installation of a new boiler was very much essential. The installer planned the work meticulously and despite the difficulties carried out the installation to perfection. I have used the Company for many years and would recommend them highly

Recently had bathroom and WC modernised and job was first class. The various trades were expertly co-ordinated, all the lads were great and worked to a really high standard. We’re really pleased with the finish and how the project was managed throughout. We would highly recommend Peter and his team to anyone needing similar services.

I have used Peter Brown Plumbers before to service the original (25+ year old) water tank. I decided to replace it when one of the elements burnt out just as I was due to leave the country for a few weeks. Peter was very helpful and managed to organise its replacement over the phone/via email. Originally it was due to be replaced on the 28th May, but I suspect due to the awkward email trail (on my part, being in entirely the wrong timezone) I was told when I got back that it wouldn't be for another week, which was a bit annoying, but I could live with it. Apart from that, the service has been excellent, the installer was prompt and courteous and installed it in less time that expected. He cleaned up and took away all the waste/old tank, and so far there have been no problems with it. He's also left me with much more storage space in my tank cupboard, as he moved the (smaller) new one to the side upon request. Overall very good service, I will use them again for servicing.

Had a new boiler installed. Alan arrived on time, professional , polite and tidied up after. He managed to finished in 1 day, rather than the 2 days stated. He stay late to finish the job. Very happy with service. I would use again and definitely recommend.

Called Peter Brown, Harrow at lunch time and within the hour Alan came to fix the boiler that I was considering replacing, but he had it up a running in no time. I needed a boiler replacing urgently as the previous one was beyond repair. Peter came out to inspect my broken boiler and was able to carry out the replacement within a few days, just in time for Christmas which was an absolute lifesaver! The work was carried out efficiently and to a very high standard. Really impressed with the communication throughout the job. The new boiler is working really well and I would highly recommend this company to anyone!

Peter had told me previously that an upgrade in gas pipe diameter might be necessary for the new boiler as it required an increase in gas pressure, so this was a concern. Alan Derbyshire, the engineer sent by Peter, arrived on Monday May 22nd. He was on time (8 am) and was very friendly with good communication skills right from the start. The first day involved removing the old boiler and the start of the installation of the new boiler including connection of the water pipes. On the following day the new boiler was connected to the gas pipe. Luckily, the gas pressure supplied by the existing pipework was on the minimum level required, but Alan decided to contact the National Grid (formerly Transco) to request an engineer to increase the pressure at the gas meter. Soon afterwards a National Grid engineer arrived and was able to increase the gas pressure to a higher value. The installation was completed and Alan left after showing me how to use the Comfort+ II RF control unit, a wireless device which communicates with the boiler. During the afternoon the control unit malfunctioned, so I called Peter who arranged for Alan to return the following morning. I also phoned Worcester Bosch and determined the control unit had become unpaired. On Wednesday morning, Alan spoke with Worcester Bosch who guided him through the pairing process. This didn't work as the unit was deemed defective. Subsequently WB sent an engineer with a new unit. I recommend Alan to do your work.
