Nye quoted for these works and the costs were competitive with other 'Trusted Traders' I contacted, so we offered he and Peter the work. They arrived on time and completed each of the jobs to a high standard. Potentially the most awkward piece of work was the removal of a chimney and the chimney breast in the house and then making good the roof and the wall etc. in the room. They clearly are very experienced and competent and this was completed professionally and with little mess. I would not hesitate to ask them to quote for future work.

Peter and Nye are well known in the local area. They are knowledgeable, efficient, tidy and very nice guys too.

Nye was our builder for the entirety of our kitchen project. The job involved the removal of our current kitchen and the installation of a new kitchen. It involved the partial removal of an internal wall and extensive electrical, plumbing and carpentry work both in the kitchen area and into the hallway where Nye removed an archway, removed and re sited a radiator and created a new light point in the ceiling. Throughout this project, Nye was punctual and reliable - always on site when he said he would be. He spent several weeks at our house and was courteous and accommodating at all times. The site was left tidy at the end of the day and Nye ensured that we were given as much access as quickly as possible to cooking facilities and water. As expected in any project, several snags arose along the way and Nye dealt with these quickly and professionally, ensuring that the project continued to run smoothly. We made several extra requests as the project evolved and Nye accommodated these with no complaint to ensure that we were happy at all times. The work was completed as per the original quote and Nye was always explicitly clear when any cost needed to be adjusted up or down. Communication between us and Nye was always easy and he was friendly and approachable throughout, returning to site out of his working hours at times to ensure all matters were quickly and efficiently dealt with. It has been a pleasure to work with Nye and we have absolutely no hesitation in recommending him.

Timely on budget and thoughtful. Old school builder with foundations in quality and good work ethic, with occasion out bursts of singing suggests a positive attitude. Am happy with the end result and advice given. I would hope to use their services for a future back extension, or in recommending their services to others.

Nye and Peter are great people and obviously experts at what they do. Our job involved quite a few fiddly elements and they tackled them all with attention-to-detail. They even picked up any other niggling issues with our flat as they went - including some very dangerous wiring from a previous owner's attempt at DIY. All in all, we felt like we were in safe hands right from the off. They were punctual, cheerful, kept us updated with progress, and were really accommodating with any questions or additional asks as they went. Can't recommend them enough.

This is our "Grand Designs" project, the extension consists of a new lounge/ diner with an apex roof including skylights and a new bedroom with an en suite bathroom. Renovation included new electrics, heating, plastering a new roof and patio. The result is stunning! We were very apprehensive as we looked to engage a building company for this project and now so glad we chose Which Trusted Trader and found Peter and Nye. We cannot rate this company highly enough. They have been totally professional from start to finish: provided us with a detailed quote, have been on site every day for 4 months, always planning ahead so no delay in supplies, work extremely hard and to a very high standard, giving sound advice to overcome any challenges that arose with the build. We genuinely count our blessings every day that we employed Peter Edwards to undertake this once-in-a-lifetime project for us and we felt confident from day one that we had chosen the “A” Team.

We have used Peter and Nye in the past for a loft and kitchen extension which they did to a high standard and have had no problems with over the years. We recently had them back to re-render the exterior of our house, work to the roof and window and make good the driveway adding a new path and step. We even added on additional work which was not a problem for them. Peter and the team did a brilliant job in good time and we’re more than pleased with the result. Competitively priced, great time keeping and worked through the day tidying up before they left. Would definitely recommend.

Someone gave me the details of Nye & contacted him in an emergency after a cowboy left the house exposed to the rainy weather. He responded immediately & covered the house until the work started a few days letter. He gave us priority over other scheduled jobs due to the urgency of the repairs. He & the team did an excellent job. Even other builders working in nearby houses though their job was impeccable. I contacted him 2 years later as though I saw a small crack in the plaster but was reassured it was nothing to worry about. He put another coat of paint out of courtesy. I would definitely recommend him & the team.

Peter and Nye helped us finish off work that we needed doing in our house. They fitted a new utility room, including a new upvc door, new flooring, kitchen unit installation and alot of making good. We also asked them to re-fit some doors including skirting and architrave. They also installed a drainage channel outside. The work was done to a great standard and we were happy with the outcome. The guys were here at 8am every day and left the house clean when leaving. Would definitely recommend

Peter and his team completed a side dormer extension creating a larger third bedroom and hall area. Peter and his team are very knowledgeable at what they do. Kept us well informed throughout the build and all the work was completed within the time quoted. Would definitely recommend.

Peter, Nye and Chris did a great job of extending our first floor to blend in with our existing ground floor, and installing a new bathroom. Peter gave a competitive quote that was stuck to (we asked for additional work along the way), and was happy to provide advice along each step of the process. The team arrived at 8 am promptly each morning, and worked through wind, rain, snow and freezing temperatures each day, and even completed the project slightly before their 12-week estimate. The quality of the workmanship is first class, and we are absolutely thrilled with the end result - so much so that we want the boys back to do some ground floor work once we have saved the money. All of the team are friendly and approachable (even more so if you feed them a cake!), and I would not hesitate to recommend them. 5 stars.

Peter and Nye built a ground floor rear extension to our 1930’s terraced house. They built a utility room, downstairs toilet and kitchen diner. With work already underway, we decided to install underfloor heating on the whole of the ground floor, apart from the living room, and fully refurbish our family bathroom combining the separate bathroom and toilet. Peter and Nye recommended changing the water main since it was the original pipe which was going to be under the underfloor heating to avoid potential issues with it in the future. They also installed a new boiler on the first floor which entailed extensive pipework. All the work was carried out while we were living in the house. We found the team to be very considerate with this causing the least disruption possible. Before the work started they visited the neighbours to make sure people were aware of the works and during the works they helped to maintain good relations with them. We found them to be reliable, punctual and professional. Their experience meant that they could handle any changes or unexpected things happening, which with a large project and an old house is unavoidable. Their rates were very competitive and we got a quality job knowing that the things we can’t see were done the way they should be done. We would definitely recommend them and we’ll have more work for them in the near future.

We hired Pete to refurbish our downstairs toilet. He came when he said he would, gave a reliable and competitive estimate, put forward and discussed different ideas and tailored the job as he went along. The work was well done and we are very pleased with the results. It all looks much better and up to date. Overall we were happy, the only downsides being he often broke off to have a chat to us and used the nearest thing to hand.

We contracted Peter and the team to carry out a bespoke building job on our property in New Malden - one which a couple of other recommended companies had told us wouldn't be possible. But, thanks to their vision and experience of managing similar projects in the area, they designed and built a fantastic new porch and downstairs cloakroom at the front of our house. It sounds a small job...but it has made a huge difference to the look, function and 'kerb appeal' of our home. The team are traditional, local, well-skilled, well-connected and honest with a can-do / no-nonsense attitude from the outset - which, to us, translated as the project being completed on time and on budget (no hidden extras). Peter, Nye and the team built a partition wall to divide a large reception room into a lounge and a family room, installed bi fold doors and window and divided the long galley kitchen into a kitchen and a utility room. They also installed new kitchen units and appliances, same in utility room and repaired a garden wall with matching bricks. All the work was done on time and to the price quoted. Peter gave useful suggestions and advice on the layout of the ground floor and we are very pleased with the result. They are a friendly and professional team and I would recommend them!Thanks!

Very large project to restructure a large 1920's house, including demolition, gutting, multiple ground floor extensions, re-plumbing, re-electrification, insulation and lots of windows to a modern design and standard. In a world of unreliable tradesmen, Peter and Nye provided a stable and consistent approach to this large project. On a tight budget for the ask they also found contacts who could assist with specialist areas at best value for the desired quality, whilst providing that support and knowledge where needed. The number of decisions required from big to small to get this job done were immense and Peter particularly was very able to manage the planning and complex sequencing of works. Being novice clients in this arena, there were inevitably times where communications during the job could have been improved, although with knowledge we now have the need for some communications would likely be negated. As well as possessing all-round trade skills, Nye is particularly adept at explaining problems, options and executing client wishes. The restructure of an old, existing building will always throw curve-balls but in the main the desired outcome was achieved. In the year they were on-site P&N didn't miss a day off work and made the project aims their own, working through a sweltering Summer and even post-poning their own vacation to get the job done. The after-care of the snags which are inevitable in such a large project have been dealt with in an exemplary manner.

Peter & Nye built a new shower room for us and refurbished an old bathroom. We are very pleased with the result. They had helpful suggestions which improved our original plans, such as : omitting a wall and putting in a shower screen which made the space much more light and open; reducing the size of the hot water cylinder we had planned to install - it would have been much too big. They installed new plumbing to give us a pressurised system; new electrics in the bedroom so we could position things as we wanted. They were there every day without fail and all their work was to a high standard. We would definitely use them again and would certainly recommend them.

Peter and Nye carried out a single storey rear extension, installed a new kitchen and re-modeled the old kitchen area into a utility room plus a wc. Very pleased with the end result and the quality of their work. Peter gave helpful advice from the original planning stage and throughout the build, always accommodating my ideas. He was quick to respond to any queries I had, kept me informed of progress and let me know when decisions would be needed. The work was carried out within timetable. I would definitely use them again and would recommend them to others.

We have used Peter Edwards Builders on three separate occasions, a first floor bathroom conversion/extension, a ground floor kitchen extension and a driveway/patio construction. A while ago, Peter Edwards Builders completely refitted our kitchen. We were impressed by their professionalism and their having ensured that the inevitable disruption was kept to a minimum – we always had a functioning kitchen, albeit basic at some stages. Therefore, when we needed work done to remodel our lounge, we naturally returned to the company. Our house is almost 100 years old and some consequent hurdles were encountered, such as having to relay the floor. However, they always came up with possible solutions and overcame the problems efficiently (and cost-effectively), keeping us well-informed throughout. All the members of their team are a pleasure to work with. We recommend them without reservation.

I cannot recommend Peter and his team high enough. From the planning right through to the finish, he sorted everything. There was a lot of work going on and the team made sure that the house was left as tidy as possible each evening before they went home. The quality of their work is second to none and if we had ideas on the build that Peter thought would not quiet work, he would talk us through it and explain why. We got a quote for all of the work we wanted doing from Peter and we were quiet surprised that at the end of the job he told us that the build was £5600 less than the original price, due to being able to source some of the materials at a better price. That was very honest of them as we would not have known, most builders would have taken the full amount quoted. Thanks again guys for all you have done for us.

A pleasure to work with such a team of professionals. From the get-go Peter and his team highlighted the potential opportunities and risks of each step along the project in a straightforward manner. Attention to detail was given without compromise to timescales. Peter and his team were able to work efficiently and without creating undue disturbance with either noise, dust or to daily routines in the house. Creativity was also necessary and achieved in delivering a specific project plan which included a bespoke staircase leading to small children's play area above. I would recommend Peter and his team to anyone looking for a fair-priced local builder who is keen to give the customer what they desire whilst also able to direct them to the next best solution if this is impractical.
