Ardwark Electrical & Plumbing

After noticing a small leak from the stop tap, I searched Trusted Trader and Peter from Ardwark Electrical and Plumbing contacted me. We arranged for him to visit and supply and estimate of the cost to replace the tap. He came when he said he would and fitted the new Tap very efficiently.. He tested the work and before leaving he made sure everything was tidy and working as it should. Peter was easy to talk to and explained what he needed to do. I shall certainly use him again for plumbing/Electrical work as the need arises. It was agreed taht if there were any problems after he left the house I should call him immediately so that he could come a rectify the problem. A job well done.

Peter recently replaced 2 of our security lights that had failed. Arrived at the agreed time and carried out the work quickly and efficiently. Great friendly service and highly recommended.

Peter had done work for us before so when having a kitchen extension built we engaged him to do the electrical work. As well as wiring the new extension he also upgraded the existing system, which was 40 years old, despite a number of unexpected issues arising. Peter always arrived on time, was very helpful and explained what he was doing. He tided up afterwards and we were confident that the work was being done properly. As he is also a plumber we also had him install a power shower.

I was woken in the night by hot water dripping through the bedroom ceiling, so I turned off the boiler and covered the leak with tape. The next morning, I contacted Peter who responded quickly and kept me informed. On the same day, he solved the problem by replacing an automatic air vent in the loft, so we could have hot water again. His quick response and clear communication made all the difference.

There was a fault on one of our electrical circuits in the house. Peter persevered in locating the problem and made changes to the configuration of the circuits to ensure the problem would not happen again and was safe. Peter was excellent in keeping in contact about when he would could come to do the work and arrived on time.

I consider myself doubly lucky - a) we are local to Peter, who immediately appreciated the urgency and came straight round to us, and b) a potentially devastating fuse box failure was caught before causing a fire. Peter was reassuring without diminishing the issue, went off in search of a part that is not readily available, keeping me informed of progress and timings. He came up with the right option to get us safely repaired, tested and powered back up within 4 hours. Throughout he was cheerful, informative, resourceful (we had to do some emergency woodwork hacking to get at the box) and as the other reviews here testify, I was never in doubt that we would be sorted out. I will not hesitate to call on him in future, for hopefully less urgent needs.

I can only agree with all the other reviewers. Peter is really helpful and friendly, came pretty much straight away to deal with a leaking cold water tank and clearly knows his job. We were very satisfied with his work and will definitely use him again.

He went out of his way to help me because he normally doesn’t take any jobs around the city where we live in. Really kind and done the job the same day. I needed two extra double sockets, one in a new room and one outside in the garden. Peter responded to my enquiry the same day and visited for a quote the same week. He listened to what I wanted and gave me sensible options, offering a scale of products but not trying to steer me to the most expensive like some tradesmen. Whilst completing the work, he worked all day, always happy to talk through his work, double-check on requirements and offering regular updates on his progress. After he had finished, he cleaned and hoovered everywhere he had been in the house. Peter is punctual, friendly and professional and the work was completed to an exceptional standard. I would definitely recommend Ardwark to others and if I need any other work completing, I'll go straight to Peter in future.

Peter responded immediately when power shower stopped working. Eventually found problem was faulty switch so no need to go to expense of new shower. Also found a couple of other electrical issues whilst doing repairs. Everything clearly explained at each stage. Peter was very helpful and knowledgeable and is thoroughly recommended if you have electrical/plumbing problems, a very useful combination.

Peter is very knowledgeable and reliable. Our communication with him was very good. He explained what needed to be done in layman terms. He worked efficiently and neatly, repairing any damage done to floors as a result of the electrical repairs he carried out. He left the house very tidy and much safer than it was before. I highly recommend him if you want a job well done.

I cannot recommend Peter highly enough. He has installed new lights and sockets into a new utility area, as well as making safe some rather old sockets in the house. There where no sockets in the utility area at all, so had to all be done from scratch. Peter kept me informed every step of the way, always checked before he did anything and was always happy to explain things to me. As with many old houses, there were some stumbling blocks, to which Peter found solutions that were safe and did not break the bank. Peter was easy to have around and I feel we put the work into a very safe pair of hands. We will be using him again and I would recommend him to everyone.

Peter is trustworthy, very competent, tidy, prompt and polite. He fitted a power shower for us and did other electrical and plumbing jobs for us and did an amazing job.
