We have a listed 1852 villa in Hove which is fun to live in but is often difficult and/or expensive to repair. In this case the problem was a long roof gulley between two high pitched roofs that had been leaking on and off over the last 3 years into the bedroom below. SW gales do not help in this neighbourhood and building standards have evolved considerably over the last 160+ years! A previous attempted repair by another contractor had failed, probably under the stress of the hot summer of 2018. Access was difficult and scaffolding was essential for safe working conditions. Another trustworthy and highly recommended trader, Mark Gunn of MRG Ltd, now based in Steyning, recommended Ian Johnson at Pinnacle Roofing. Ian met or exceeded all our expectations - which is the best definition of a quality performance! He came on time, discussed the job and the various options available and the likely costs involved. We agreed that a full replacement with asphalt would be the best solution and we were happy to go ahead with him. His scaffolders and asphalters arrived on time and were equally courteous and careful. The job was completed on time and inside budget, with photographs to show progress. Given my personal fear of heights, this was essential! It was a pleasure to have Ian and his son in and around our home and handling this quite complicated repair for us and we would be pleased to recommend them to anyone else needing roof repairs in or around Hove.

Ian came to look at our flat roof which was leaking. He did a thorough examination, took photos and explained the problem to me. He then came back (on the only dry day in a very rainy two week period) to do the repairs and sent photos to show us what he'd done. He followed up with a phone call to make sure the leak had stopped. He was friendly, courteous and did what he said he was going to do when he said he was going to do it. I'd definitely recommend Pinnacle Roofing to anyone else.

Ian has carried out several tiling jobs for us and has exceeded our expectations on every occasion, we have had some tricky jobs to get around and Ian has completed them with a great level of attention and detail. we wont go to anyone else now as we know exactly how ians works will turn out every time we use him in the future.

We had work done our dormer roof in early May 2018. The roof and lead flashing was replaced, to a very high standard. Ian and his son obviously take a real pride in their work and were very happy to invite me up the scaffolding to inspect the quality of the job! He was also happy to repair some loose tiles and cracks in the chimney, and even cleaned out the gutters for us. At all times he kept us informed about what was going in and he was thoroughly professional at all times.

We decided to replace the original and very intricate clay tile roof on our Edwardian semi-detached Brighton home. Dating back to 1907, our priority was for the new roof to look exactly the same as when first built. Ian and the Pinnacle team surpassed our expectations, the roof looks incredible. All original decorative features maintained and the quality of the craftmanship is truly impressive, by far the best roof in Surrenden Rd and beyond. Always a good sign, but other tradesmen who have since worked on our home have commented on the quality as have passers by. A great job and we are so glad we went with Pinnacle. Roof now good for another 100 years!
